As it currently lies a hand must request auth from the crew leader, a hand can also auth themselves. It feels like a trusted position like a hand should automatically come with BG and wack auth as well as sponsor status

I see no negatives to this being implemented Infact it will help those setting up a family get up and running faster and more efficiently

Ultimately it should be the leader's decision to give auth. Like you said, a hand can request auth and immediately turn around and authorize that request themselves only assuming that their leader doesn't have a problem with this. In a different situation this may not be the same, where the leader would like to handle all authorizations and hands will (or won't) respect this. Making hands automatically authed takes this level of control (option) away from the leader.

I believe that the way the auth system is set up involving this should stay as is.

You could also argue that anyone above the rank of Made Man should have these abilities. 

The rank of Made Man and higher is meant for people you trust as they represent your crew and through extension, you. I always thought it was funny Made Man and higher needed auth to shoot at Gangsters.

I am sorry still think should be up too CL and hands. You never know if someone decide go out on there own if they get when your made.  They can kill who they want to.

I completely agree with Isla. It does take the power away from the leader to auth a person. Yes, there should be trust there, but ultimately the leader has earned that privilege to auth.

 I_32_I  is not talking about a Made man here. He said,   "A hand  is. a level of trust issued by a CL....", and in some cases even higher than that.

He is not saying all members made or above he is talking about  the Hands, which is truth no one can argue as a Hand you are given a level trust much higher than a made man  or any other title.

If you are a hand of a leader isn't that trust Assumed?
