As I awoke from my nightmares I grabbed my coat and cigarettas and headed out onto the ships deck. I could smell the North Atlantic roaming through the air, I could see the philly docks coming up and the sailors got the ship ready for docking. The other passengers came to the deck, men, women, children all had different backgrounds and different motives but one thing connected them all, they all came to make a new start. I put on my coat and lit a cigarette while I walked to the ships side I took a drag and looked down to the sea, I always loved the sea back in my village in Italy I used to help my uncle on his fishing boat, there was always something about the sea that calmed me. Strange to think that it was water that now separated me from my past.

The ship docked and I could feel a new sense of freedom. United States of America the land of oppitunity and a chance to start again. I walked through the streets and came to a small bar, my uncle gave me $200 before I left so I decided to go in for a drink and to relax. When I was a kid some American troops went through my village so I learned a few english words.

"Beer please."

The barman gave me the beer and I took a seat, there were a few strange looking Italians sitting in the corner talking put I thought best not to stare. I finished my drink and went to the toliet, I finished and zipped up when I heard something behind me, I turned round and show a man coming at me with knife. My experiance back in Italy taught me to think fast, I moved out the way and grabbed the arm with the knife, disarmed him, grabbed his head and smacked it against the wall, he fell to the floor so I picked him up, pushed him up against the wall and held the knife to his throat.

"Vincenzo?!" Vincenzo Botticelli old time scum bag from my village.

"Ciao Rudolph, Suo stato un tempo lungo." (Hello Rudolph, its been a long time.)

"Cosa sta facendo qui Vincenzo?!" (What are you doing here Vincenzo?!)

"Il capo sta guardando espandere le sue operazioni, lui vuole parlargli, Lei ha fucked su questa volta realmente." (The boss is looking to expand his operations, he wants to talk to you, you have really fucked up this time.)

"Perché non potete lasciare solo me da solo, colpa mia non fosse che è stata di 5 anni fa!" (Why can't you just leave me alone, it weren't my fault it was 5 years ago.")

"Lei gli è costato molti dei soldi, abbiamo dovuto usare Palo per lo compongono. " ( You cost us alot of money, we had to use Palo to make it up.")

He began to laugh and that smug evil grin he always had returned, all I could feel was rage and I just lost it I took the knife and I put it into his stomach over and over again, I told my self when I left there would be no more killings but I couldn't help it.

"MUOIA LEI ALZA PEZZO POPPANTE DI MERDA DI VACCA!!"

I dropped the blood soak knife as he fell to the floor, my heart was racing like never before and his blood was everywhere, dying in a pissed filled toliet like a little fat rat he got everything he deserved.

"He's coming here soon Rudolph and he will find you."

He was coming the man I ran from for the past 5 years, the man who wouldn't think twice and killing your own child just to get to you, the devil him self. If he found out I was here it would take a matter of hours to find me, I could of just ran away but I knew he would just be there waiting, I prayed Vincenzo lied but if he spoke the truth I knew I would need help to survive.

"Resto in pace Vincenzo, trovare comfant nella prossima vita" (Rest in peace Vincenzo find comfant in the next life)

I'm curious friend.  What have you done in the old country to warrant such enemies?  If you don't mind my asking, of course.

oh I belive it was curiosity that killed that cat, you will have to wait and see.
