Kathryn emerged on the streets, walking briskly to the appointed place. In her right hand she held a letter of inheritance from England; her left hand absentmindedly drifted over her stomach.

Good morning everyone,

I have some major news concerning the future of Los Angeles. Due to health and family concerns, I'll be quitting the business in a couple days. There are matters overseas that require my full attention. I have high standards for crewleaders in our society, and I am no longer able to live up to them. Rather than putter along as a shell of myself, I prefer to end my story here and turn the reigns over to someone who can be the leader that RP Inc. deserves.

Alexander_Solonik has earned that opportunity with his talents and determination. Although there are many worthy candidates in LA, he's earned his shot. He'll be setting up alongside me in Los Angeles. Once people have transferred over and I've been sent off to England, he'll take over my position. 

Kathryn pauses, but pushes through.

I don't know what the future holds for my bloodline. This may be it for us. If it is, then I have only a few regrets.

Or it's possible that, in a week or two, I may send an associate of mine from the old country, someone who would have no responsibilities at all, back to keep an eye on things for a few weeks, until I'd be forced to cut all contact. I just don't know. If I do send an associate, they won't be here very long.

What I do know is that I've relished my time here with you. I've been able to trace my recent bloodline back to a man named Keats, who worked in Detroit, Chicago, and New York. I found one of his letters, which essentially said "I'm here to show the kids how to walk in the streets and business districts, then I'll ride into the sunset". Obviously, my bloodline wound up sticking around a bit more than just that single man, and I'm glad that that's the case. But it's sunset time.

I've met and worked with amazing people, far too numerous to name. If you're special to me, you know it- and I hope I've made that clear in how I've always treated you.

Nodding to Alexander_Solonik, Kathryn exits.

You have been a great leader and I for one will be sorry to see you go. I hope whatever is taking you to the old country resolves itself quickly, and that both health and fortune are good to you.

As she turns to go, Vivian places a note in Kathryn 's hand. 

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Dubliner was shocked to hear that Kathryn was stepping down in LA. He was always impressed with how Kathryn spoke and how the crew acted in the streets. A reputation that does the city of LA a good service. Always respectful and eloquent in their speaking. Kathryn had done well in mentoring and leading that city in the ever-watchful eye of the public. No doubt, the thing Kathryn was a part of in LA wouldn't be lost in her successor. 

Dubliner spoke up.

"We spoke once. You were very respectful and I won't forget it. Take care of yourself. The selfish nature in me hopes you return, but Family must always come first because without family, what are we?"

Dubliner made it a point to shake Kathryn's hand and wish her the best in all of her future endeavors. 

I see you as a kind , great Leader going miss your kindness toward me, I know my grandmother love you so much.  It will be sad to see you go.

As I leave and started to cry. Good Luck in your life

Alex nodded back to Kathryn and stepped forward to speak. 

"First, I have to say thank you to Kathryn who has been an amazing leader and who has been a great mentor to me. I hope to be able to live up to the example that she has set and wish her the best in the old country. To the people of Los Angeles, I look forward to continuing on this crazy journey with you all. You are a great group and I couldn't ask for a better team to work with, thank you all."

With that Alex stepped back and leaned against a wall waiting to see what others might say.

Gracie stood by silently at the back, listening. She was known as the loud one in the family, the funny one. But this time around she didn't have any jokes to make, any puns to share or any butts to violate. She was just sad. She stared at Kathryn, and then looked at Alex. It was going to be a change, but she had faith. With a sigh she forced a smile and moved to where Alexander_Solonik was standing, "Well Comrade Ink, what's next?" She asked him softly. Her gaze went back to Kathryn, but she knew she'd speak to her before her plane took off. 

Sirius saw a crowd gathering around Kathryn and stopped to listen at what she was saying, after hearing what other gangster had to say he went forward and said

"It's sad to see you go but i wish you all the best luck."

Dominick steps off the side as he catches that familiar face, the leader of the Los Angeles outfit. They've been a highly active bunch, running all sorts of operations. It was nothing less than absolutely impressive.

Kathryn , what you've done starting in Las Vegas, and eventually set the motion for in Los Angeles is amazing. You've touched so many lives and brought back an amazing thing in this thing of ours. Your legacy will live on. Your mark has been made. I hope you find peace in your transition, and all the love in the world as you move into the old country.

Thank you for what you've done. You'll always be remembered.

Tris was walking down the street, drinking her morning coffee when she heard an anouncement that caught her attention

"im sorry to hear that you have to leave us. You will be missed. Congratz to Alexander for his new opportunities. I have no doubts that LA will continue to flourish"

Dearest Kathryn,

My time working for you was short but I heard so many positive things from those who came before me. Our ancestors have had many interactions and all of them have been more then enjoyable. Working in Los Angeles with you for the time that I did was nothing short of amazing and you will be so greatly missed. 

You did amazing things and you should be very proud of all that you have accomplished. The world will be a duller place without your presence. I'm so Alex will do fantastic and will carry on the work you started, but nothing will quiet be the same without you.  

FuegoSteve entered the streets with his head low. Kathryn and her mother before her worked with Fuego's father. She was a great woman to work for. Fuego wanted to pay his respects to the departing woman...

"Kathryn, its a sad day. I respect the move you are doing, but again its a sad day. You are very instrumental in the way the streets have been recently, so was your mother. I hope the best in the old country.

As hard it is to see you step down, its nice to see someone filling your shoes quite well in your auth of Alexander_Solonik. Congrats Alex. If LA needs anything, South Side will help in anyway possible."

I really do not know you Kathryn but read into a serious hardship abroad. May God be with you in every aspect of this situation and a sincere best wishes to who will be resuming your regime.

Kathryn, you have been an inspiration to all of us who have worked with you.  Thank you for bringing me into your family and for everything you have done for me.  I have always respected your work, and I was delighted to have the chance to be in your crew. 

I am so sad that you are leaving us, but I am very happy I met you, and eternally grateful that I had the chance to be here with you.  You have changed all of us for the better.

Leftyy takes a drag from a cigarette before speaking.

We've only briefly spoken the one time over a story I shared. But based on your actions here and that one conversation there's enough evidence for me to know that we're losing someone very special. I hope you and your family the best, and good luck with any future endeavors. I do hope to see your bloodline breathe some life into these streets once again, but won't hold it against you guys if not. Best of luck madame.
