I think waffles are better in my opinion.
On the one hand, waffles have those checkered indentations which are very useful to catch syrup. And they are thicker so they're more filling
Pancakes on the other hand, have no indentations to catch syrup. Also even though they are easier to stack, because they're stacked, when you poor on the syrup, you'd have to re-pour for every layer of pancake.
Waffles most definitely. |

I'd have to go with waffles on this one... because pancakes are just a sad little round disappointment soaking up nasty clotted butter and syrup. They become mush on your plate and that's just not appealing. |
