FuegoSteve enters the streets carrying an empty bottle of tequila. A night of fiesta had turned into something much darker and much more serious. What was supposed to be a celebratory day, honoring his city, his familia, had turned worse. He always wanted to make sure his members and associates were taken care of. He adored them and all the hard work they put in. But the night had not ended as he had planned. Many lives had been lost on their day of celebration and he was in a period of mourning. But as it was with everything, time kept moving forward.

"My intention in coming out today was to celebrate a moment of growth, as South Side expands somewhat. It is still of course a proud moment for me, but it is touched with sadness. Rest in peace to the fallen who stood by their families. Unfortunately for those of us left, time continues to move forward. Expansions take place and that is why I am standing here.

The muchacho who will take on that job is none other than my amigo, Toaly. Since Toaly's time on these shores, he's been nothing but tremendous. He has been able to help train associates, been a man I can count on, and ultimately the man has earned my trust."

Fuego takes a deep breath..

"Congratulations to Toaly. The newest auth in South Side, Chicago. Lets make Chicago Great Again!"

Toaly walked up to his Don and shook his hand. He wore black and had a black armband for his fallen brethren. Last night cinco de mayo had turned into Dia de Muertos and on this most proud of days he could not help but be tinged with sadness.

"It has been a pleasure serving you Don Steve and the whole of La Hermandad which really has become a brotherhood."

He wiped away a tear as he paused  a moment for his lost brothers and sisters.

"Vamonos! We must move on as they would have wished. Let me show you my new home Don Steve that I hope, in time we will make you very proud to have in South Side."

He wandered over to the doors of his new headquarters and threw them open

"It is time for Alobores de Gloria to begin in South Side and together we will make this district a sight to behold!"

LaReina stood among the people gathering to hear the announcement. She listened with a heavy corazon and glistening eyes. She was so muy proud to be a part of this momento, this familia, this district, the entire city. Even under the current circunstacias, growth was always muy bueno. After the speeches were made, LaReina made her way to her dear amigo, Toaly.

"¡Felicidades mi amigo! Mi madre was so muy proud of you and it is my honor to be here to see this momento. You, amigo, have already made us all proud."

She leaned in and gave Toaly a soft kiss on the cheek. Before fading into the background, she looked up at her fearless leader, FuegoSteve. She gave him a nod and then disappeared.

Kaira was next to LaReina. She knew Toaly was precious to her madre since she had read her journals so the thought of him leaving to get his own familia made her sad. 

She was happy for him but sad that he will leave the Headquarters. Who will she race against? Who will she ask stories about ancestors? 

She was just standing there staring at him and at everyone congratulating him. LaReina pushed her from behind encouraging her to show support.

After sitting there with a grumpy face she finally managed to speak.

'Congratulations Toaly although I am not forgiving you for leaving us. But please don't forget us.'

She turned and walked away trying to hold her tears.

Standing in the back alley directly adjacent to the rabble of people, Athos listens intently to the speech being made by the leader of South Side, FuegoSteve. Nodding in an approving manner,  Athos raises his rapier sword at the mention of his new Lord, Toaly, whilst simultaneously taking a swig from his bottle of wine. After one final swig of his red wine, Athos places his rapier back in it's scabbard, throws the now empty bottle against the wall and descends back into darkness from whence he came.
