Gracie took the map from Lily and stared down at it, "This is impressive." she told her. She frowned when Lily swallowed down two asprin, but bit her tongue. Now was not the time to be a doctor, at least not for Lily. "Alex will be interested in seeing this," she said as her fingers moved over it, her brain working. She wasn't as strategic as Alex, she was more of about words and subtley. Alex was about action and planning. 

She slid the map back to Lily with a smile. "I did see AnthonyBlack today." she told her as she picked up her wine glass. "He..uh... he asked about you, and I said you had a bit of trouble." she took a quick sip, "I didn't go into details, but promised him I was taking care of you." she remembered the reaction he had and sighed, "Although it might put him at ease to hear about it from you," she said to the girl, "But I understand if you don't want to." She reached out and quickly patted Lily's shoulder twice, remembering the reaction to had to the hug. 

Lily stared at the condensation running down the side of her glass for a long moment before nodding.

"I suppose you're right. Does his visitation time ever change? My head hurts the worst early in the mornings and it's hard to see very well. They're not so bad in the afternoons though, I can get around okay by then." She says before looking back up.

"Did Uncle Alex make it? I thought you might all arrive together," she asked.

Ranger strolls in casually to the bar, hoping to bump in to his friend Sirius. However, what he found was totally more unexpected - people from the crew. He headed over and saw little LilyWhite watching the drops run down the side of the glass while the 'G Doc', or Gracie as she is more commonly known, is stood talking with her.

He decided to get a drink and leaned on the stone bar while he waited to get served, looking over at Gracie and the girl.

"Well, fancy seein' you guys over here. Can I get anyone a drink?" He asks them.

Lily smiled at Ranger. She didn't know him too well and it had been ages since she'd seen him, but she remembered he had a horse. 

"Oh hello. How are you? How's...was it Travis? Trevor! How's Trevor doing?" She asked politely.

Ranger looked down at LilyWhite as she came over to ask about Trevor.

"Howdy lil' lady! It is Trevor indeed, well remembered." He said to her with a smile.

"He is doin' jus' fine thank you, as am I. How are you doin'? Have ya ever rode a horse?" Ranger asked.

"No, I surely haven't, Sir. Momma always talked about having me take riding lessons, but she just forgot about it I guess. Say, are you here to help Anthony, too?" She asked, buoyed by the idea of more people involved in the rescue.

"Well, I was thinkin' about startin' up a lil old ridin' school on the beach. You should come along! When we get back to LA, I'm sure Trevor wouldn't mind taking you for a trot if you wanna?" He asks Lilywhite.

"And you might have to fill me in on that one, I was just passin' through. What's happened to Anthony?" Ranger continues.

Lily looks down at the floor.

"They say he murdered someone. They want to keep him locked up for 45 years. It's not fair! Even if he really did it, I'm sure that man deserved to die!" She says, voice rising and drawing the stares of some nearby patrons. 

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't holler like that," she apologizes to no one in particular. 

Gracie listened to the conversation around her, still playing idly with her wine glass. "Ranger." She said with a smile, "Didn't expect to see you here." she told him. She frowned at Lily, "Well, the law is there for a reason." she told the girl. "But I'm sure he'll be ok." 

Ranger raised an eyebrow at the young girl as she explained the situation. Then, he looked over as he heard Gracie's voice say his name. 

"Lily, I'm afraid things aren't always as simple as we want them to be. I'm sure he will be fine." He said to her, adding on to what Gracie had said. He then looked up and turned his attention to Gracie herself.

"Gracie, a pleasant surprise. I'm guessing you are out here for this situation that seems to have occurred?" Ranger asks.

She nodded her head, "He's like a son to me, and Kathryn would come back from the dead and strangle me with her bare hands if I don't make sure he's ok." she told him with a wry smile. "Although from what I've seen he manages to take care of himself." she took a sip of her wine and sighed, "I wish he would have let us help him in the first place, then he wouldn't be in this mess." she muttered. 

Ranger looked down to the floor as he pondered further on Gracie's words.

"Kathryn had all faith in you - she would understand whatever the outcome. I don't know exactly what's happened but if I can help it in anyway, just say the word ma'am." He said as he tried to reassure her. 

"So, what exactly happened?" Ranger asks.

Gracie looked at Lily, "She probably knows better than I do." she admitted, "I only know he's in prison for murder. Who and why, I know nothing about." she sighed, "I am an utterly useless parent." she muttered. 

He could see the look of  disappointment on her face. Ranger couldn't stand seeing his friends like this.

"Well, why don't we bust him out?" He asks, curious to her response. 

She stared at him, "Gee, Ranger." she said sarcastically. "Why didn't we think of that?" she added before hitting her forehead with the heel of her hand. She grinned at him and then held a finger to her lips. "People have ears." she told him softly, "So shut up." 

Lily reached inside her purse and pulled out a folded section of newspaper. 

"It doesn't tell everything but it's all we know. When Anthony writes, he doesn't speak of it," she says, handing Ranger the clipping. 

Ranger looked at Gracie with a slightly sceptic look on his face.

"Well, excuse me for not bein' in the know." He said, rolling his eyes.

"Nobody tells me anythang around here. I'm just the dumb Texan." He continued, laughing at himself. 

He takes a look at the slip of folded newspaper that Lily handed to him. 

"Hmm. " Ranger said as he read through.

"I wanna help. But, Gracie is right. We shouldn't talk about it here. Somebody will have to fill me in on the more gritty details somewhere a little more.... Discreet." He added. 

Ranger heard an all too familiar voice say his name.

"Howdy Shini, didn't notice ya there fella. How are ya? Can I getcha' a drink or somethin'? He asks him.

She laughed and shook her head at Ranger, "Don't get your panties in a bunch." she told him, "Not our fault you've been so busy lost in your blissful marriage that you haven't had time to hang out with us." she told him, pointing a finger at him. "Can't get all offended when it's your fault."
