The Poker Night Started by: Kharon on May 12, '17 22:23

The night had fallen on Summerlin covering the beautiful scenery with its darkness as a distinguished man stepped out of a gleaming White L-29 Phaeton while lights from the nearby casino glittered. Walking with graceful steps Kharon greeted some gentlemen who had recently arrived too and headed to the entrance.

The porter noticed his presence and jumped up to meet Kharon quickly and politely helped him remove his beautiful coat, and beckoned for him to accompany him to a reserved room where the illustrious people of the city gathered for important negotiations.

Kharon nodded at the doorman and went into the room where some gentlemen were already gathered. Looking around, he noticed the grandeur of the place, with details in gold and paintings by famous painters. Kharon was absorbed in admiration when he felt Angy touch gently on his elbow and signaling a chair next to her and Prati.

Sitting up, Kharon began a light conversation with Angy and Prati with the others as they waited for the others to arrive. After a few minutes, a waiter approached and asked Kharon to choose a drink from the menu. Looking at the options, he opted for a Hennessy cognac and looking at Angy and said:

"Angy, I've noticed how our city has been growing lately and with it our job to keep the organization going, so I've decided to call some people to have a fun night of pouring good drinks and games."

Noticing that Angy nodded in agreement, Kharon signaled to the dealer to approach and start a game of poker. He approached in a strange way and Kharon noticed that he took something out of his suit. Kharon knocked Angy down on the floor to protect her and sought refuge under the table while one of his bodyguards shot the man.

Kharon looked at Angy and murmured:

"You think it was just him? Or is there anyone else out there?

Angy looked around in fear, as she felt a small graze on one of her knees from her impact with the ground. She was ready to respond to Kharon when she heard more shots coming from outside.

Standing up carefully, Angy glanced at the security guards who signaled to her and Kharon to follow them while Prati had already rushed to a strategic location in order to get a better view of what was happening.

One of the guards opened a secret passageway behind a large mirror framed in gold. Angy followed with Kharon behind her with other guards. Inside, there was a good supply of weapons and cameras monitoring the compound. After analyzing the situation a little, Angy turned to Kharon and asked:

"Do you think we should call our men or will we be able to solve this with only the casino guards and our bodyguards?"

Sirius was driving through the streets that night with his bodyguards behind, they were using at least two more cars, when he heard gunshots near the casino street, he decided to check what was happening there.

There was a White L-29 Phaeton parked outside the casino and Sirius thought it may be his boss' car, he looked around at his bodyguards as giving the instruction to come out and do something, next moment he stpped the car and everyone got out of their cars behind too.

Bullets were flying and he ran all the way inside to the casino. He then found the poker table where it was supposed to be played a game but almost all the chips were separated equally and the dealer was shot dead laying in the ground... He heard some voices behind the gold plated mirror so Sirius knocked there three times, as a signal.

He didn't know who was alive so he got ready and leaned against the wall and grabbed firmly his Colt 22.

Waschbear quietly yawned. He has been playing texas hold em poker with his buddy since the early afternoon - this game gets tiring after a while. It was night by now. He won some and lost some and had a few drinks. He thought to himself that he should stop maybe, call it a day, go home.

But on the other hand, let's play a few more hands. Maybe he could steal some blinds off his friend.

All of a sudden there was shot coming from upstairs, where the reserved poker tables were - high rollers only. They heard first one body dropping to the floor, then another. By now Waschbear was awake again. He drew his Desert Eagle, Mark XIX-2 and quickly ran to the closest exit and up the stairs to where the VIP poker area was. Slowly he pushed the door open and glanced through into the room.

The weird acting dealer from earlier was lying on the ground. Looked pretty dead, guess he got it coming. He thought something about the guy was fishy earlier but he couldn't put his finger on what it was. He saw his friend Sirius on the other side of the room knocking on a mirror three times. Waschbear was sure there was at least somebody else on the floor. There was a hint of rabbit in the air and something else..?

Waschbear wondered.

After the first shot, it was silent and Kharon helped Angy stand up. He apologized for having to put her on the ground so hard. "Your safety always comes first. Sorry, it had to be done this rudely." He noticed Angy was limping a little bit. Kharon felt guilty about that, but there was no time to waste thinking about it.

With an arm around her shoulder, they followed the guards to a secret passageway behind the mirror. While Kharon was selecting a few guns and amunition, he heard Angy ask a question. He turned around to answer her:

"My great grandfather, a wise man, told me when I was young that we should always ask for backup when we have the time to do so. Of course, we can solve this with just the casino guards and our bodyguards. Everyone is well trained to do their job in time of problems. But, we never know what opponents we have at this point. It could be one person; it could be a whole army. We should call our men, and have them come over here... Not sure if they will be in time to help us, but we have to try".

Angy looked at him in admiration because of these wise words. Immediately, she took the phone and called the Headquarters in Summerlin. She got ahold of Vile, who promised to get the hitsquad together and head over to the casino.

"Help is on their way, Kharon. Vile told me he heard Sirius and Waschbear talking earlier this evening about how they would be going to the casino. Maybe they are here already and could help us with this."

Kharon looked at the monitors to see if he could see Sirius or Waschbear somewhere in the casino. He saw Sirius in the poker room where they were shot at and had just left. On another monitor, he saw Waschbear walking towards Sirius. On the third monitor, he saw a few people he did not know, all carrying heavy armor and weapons.

"That does not look good Angy. We have to warn Sirius and Waschbear somehow."

Waschbear entered the big room, checked all corners and slowly walked towards Sirius. At the moment the two seemed to be the only guys inside the casino that haven't panicked and fleed in a hurry.

"Hey Sirius, buddy, are you alright? Have you seen anybody?"

"Goddammit Waschbear, you scared the shit out of me, why do you sneak up on people like that" Sirius yelled. "Good to see you though, i saw Kharon's White L-29 Phaeton outside the casino so i'm sure the Boss is here somewhere and i heard some voices behind this mirror, there must be a secret passageway or something like that."

Waschbear upped his ears, there was a noise coming from the hallway - it sounded like many footsteeps getting closer rapidly.

They should probably get on the other side of that mirror quickly or at least get cover somewhere.

Report Post Tip

Angy glared at the monitors. Looking more closely, she noticed that Sirius and Waschbear were near of the secret door. Walking towards to the door, Angy pulled the secret latch so the secret passage opened and pulled both quickly inside closing the door again.

Both boys looked worried and anxious to face the bad guys. Angy signaled for them to accompany her to an impromptu table where the others were. At this point everyone started talking at the same time creating a little chaos as each one of them wanted to share their ideas.
Angy gave a small startled jump when he heard Kharon hit the table and pronounce:

"Okay, boys, let's organize this area and start creating a plan to act because it seems we are surrounded. Angy, did you have any answer from our barracks? "

Angy looked nervously at the screens and said:

"I'm looking forward to see them on the monitors in a matter of minutes. I gave orders for Vile to come with a group down that half-abandoned alley where the dumpsters and those poor beggars are while Hank_Moody is to come with a slightly larger group ahead. I'm worried about Prati, I hope he found a safe place to hide. "

Angy looked around to see if everyone was paying attention and continued:

"We can split up into two small groups and try to make through the side doors instead of the other two that will be under the responsibility of the reinforcements. Can it be like this or does someone have something to add or even another plan?"

Report Post Tip

Waschbear lit a cigarette and started smoking to calm his nerves.

"I could distract them and run away, that would give you some time to escape. I might find Prati afterwards or hide in the ventilation system in the worst case. What do you think?"  he asked.

Sirius looked at the monitors then at Waschbear then said.
"Don't try to be a hero, you'll end up dead. Angy's plan seems good, we will have a better chance of success that way."
He them lit a cigar and sat down.
Report Post Tip

Waschbear sat down next to Sirius and started polishing his gun.

He is probably right, let's stick to Angy's plan on this one. he thought to himself.
