To My South Side Started by: LaReina on May 14, '17 03:32

LaReina leans against the lamp post on the street corner. She wasn't really sure why she had come out here, other than something was on her heart. Not just pain and grief, but something more meaningful.

To My South Side. We were more than just a couple of crews in a district. We were more than just a district in some city. We were a family. To say it was an honor to work with each and every single one of you is an understatement. The dedication and loyalty you showed to your family was inspiring. You made South Side an amazing place to be. Your support of each other made every single day more enjoyable than the day before. I know that this is the last thing you wanted to happen, but I am so proud of you. I am proud of the hard work and commitment that you gave to your district. I am proud that even in the end, every single one of you took the high road. You did not parade through these streets ranting and raving, because quite frankly, that is not who you are. You are courageous and wonderful, brilliant and the most amazing people I know. FuegoSteve was grateful for each and everyone one of you and your commitment to him. You all have left a mark on him that he will remember forever. Just as you have done for me. With everything that is in me, I thank you. For your generosity, your willingness to help your fellow family members, your drive to see not only yourself succeed but your family as well. Thank you for making this life the most enjoyable I've had. Please know how appreciated, respected and admired that you all are.

She stood in front of the doors of La Hermandad headquarters, waiting for the healing to begin.

Mark walked into the streets seeing what used to be a member of his prior family, La Hermandad. She had made a wonderful speech about all of the good times and those going onward - then shot herself in the head. Perhaps one of LaReina's daughters were still around to see what was going on after the sudden death of South Side, Chicago.

He didn't actually have much to say - LaReina had pretty much covered the whole thing. What it had been like. How amazing the people there were. Mark was happy to still be around some of them in his new family - Butch, AlbertoJunior, Kaira... and even a few more.

There was one thing in her speech. He couldn't help but chuckle a little when she mentioned his name in a different context.

You all have left a mark on him that he will remember forever. Just as you have done for me.

Whatever that meant, he was certain that it was true.

AlbertoJunior stood silent before the remains of what once was La Hermandad HeadQuarters. The place smelled like burnt tacos now. He would forever miss HenriDucard's hospitality, FuegoSteve's friendliness and LaReina's majestic language. At the same time, he was thankful Frankie4Fingers had given him shelter and he hoped he would help contribute to create a similar, yet distinctive coherance in their new Vegas crew now.

He layed down some tulips, stood up and walked off..
