| The Struggle for a Suit | Started by: JoeKing on May 16, '17 03:56 |

Getting out of his brand new 1931 Duesenberg Model J Derham Tourster, JoeKing cursed the hot weather in Las Vegas. But was it really the hot weather or it was just due to his frustration and confusion? It had already been over a week now. He had gone from top to bottom, to almost every tailor shop in the whole city. But to no avail. He couldn’t still find someone who could make the perfect suit for him. But was all this hassle really worth it? And the answer is “yes”. JoeKing had recently been promoted as the Underboss of The Royal Assassins by his Godmother Angy. For him, this crew was family. At least this is what he understood from the little knowledge he had about the word. All of his life, he had never been indulged in so much deep thought. But now, he was stuck. Even after a whole week of looking around, he couldn’t get a tailor to make a suit of his choice. The ceremony was just around the corner. JoeKing wanted to lay a good 1st impression on the city. For this reason, he was willing to pay anything for a suit that perfectly fits his requirements. “How difficult could it be to get a suit? Now I know.” He muttered while entering a news agency. “How may I help you sir?” said an old lady, sitting in front of a table, at the near-end of the office. “Umph….Umph…I want to place an ad for a suit.” He said with an excited voice.
“A suit needed urgently with the following specifications: Classic Fit 3 Buttons Notch Lapel And Side vent.”
He looked at the ad while sipping coffee from the mug. For the next whole day, he received dozens of calls from people claiming to make or provide a suit for him. After going back and forth, he discovered that most of them were just amateurs, trying to make a buck from their limited experience. But JoeKing was not going down without a fight. He revisited the news agency and paid some 100 dollars to get his ad on the second page of the daily paper to hire professional tailors, now all he could do was wait until someone decided to Mail him a letter, someone who was up for the challenge. |

AlbertoJunior was stunned by all the calls he got. That must have been a joke, as if people were not aware of AlbertoJunior and Ilene's Suits, Crests and Donkeyriding shop in the Streets.. What.. you are calling because you heard this via a news agency..? If you are not directly linked to Mr JoeKing, then why are you calling? He was quite confused by the sudden interest and would start to look at some advertisements later on.. |

Joe was informed of a call made by AlbertoJunior to his secretary. "You did what!?" He exclaimed. Furious at her for neglecting a potential meeting with one of the most prestigious tailors in Las Vegas. "Get me on a meeting with him as soon as possible, and next time don't hang up on people." "Yes sir." She exclaimed as she called back the prestigious business to set up a meeting. After a brief conversation, the meeting was set for 2:00 pm at the Las Vegas Club. JoeKing headed towards the building escorted by 2 of his best bodyguards and a briefcase on his hand, to avoid unnecesary attention. "Good afternoon, Alberto. First I would like to apologize for the inconvenience earlier today, but thank you for trying to get a hold of me. I've been informed by multiple sources about your skills, and I'm sure you can do this special job for me." Alberto and Joe had a few drinks and ate some lunch together to break the ice, after all he felt it would be rude to "get straight to business" as was the norm. After all, nobody here was in a hurry. After a couple hours, Joe decided to move forward and talk about business. He opened the briefcase he brought with him, revealing an old suit he had kept from his deceased grandfather. "Look, I want a suit that fits me with this same style, and same color, to honor my grandfather. Do you think you could do it?" |

AlbertoJunior was delighted to be called by Mr JoeKing himself, he quickly picked up a noteblock and some trendy fabrics, jumped on Ilene's back and set off to the meeting, that actually was pretty close, at the Las Vegas Club. But well, Ilene was not that fast.. Especially around noon, when she was hungry. Upon arriving, Albertino was impressed by the building, he never set foot in it earlier, mainly because he was raised in Chicago, and was equally impressed by Joe. He was not used to such formalities and wondered why he waited so long to get to business. Alberto had the feeling he would maybe have to upgrade his client-friendliness to just above average for this customer.. After a long, incredibly upscale, fancy lunch (Alberto slipped some carrots in his pockets for Ilene), he saw Joe opening a briefcase. His jaw dropped.. Totally not being sure of himself, he mumbled.. Of course.. of course I can.. Everything is possible for AlbertoJunior and Ilene.. Swallowing, Alberto was hoping Mr JoeKing would not see the sweat on his forehead.. Let me get back to my shop and I will try to make something that may truely look well on you.. Alberto politely nodded and excused himself to fetch Ilene for the bumpy road back.. |
