Leaving the convoy following his father's funeral procession, FrankieTheFishIV steps out from the back of a long black limo. A calm silence falls upon the streets as he reaches in his front pocket to remove a hand rolled cigar smuggled out of Havana, lighting it with the blood-stained lighter which belonged to his dad, the same lighter he used while standing on these very same streets, the same lighter found on the nightstand beside his bed the night the Coroner discovered his slain body, shot in the head as he slept. After a few moments of silence, he removes his hat to wipe the sweat from his brow, before placing it back upon his head. After a long, slow drag off of the cigar, he raises his head to speak.

"My Father was a good man. Never once has he shown disrespect to anybody, inside or outside of the family. He was a man of ambition. He was a man who could turn a dollar into a thousand dollars, then turn that thousand into a million. It is fortunate that I managed to learn his techniques, and have inherited his skills to prosper, while surrounding society sinks further into economic depression. My father was a made-man in Philadelphia when he was killed in his sleep, apparently by somebody who felt disrespected by some bosses in the city, which I believe was just an excuse to make a move. My Grandfather met the same fate, as he was in Los Angeles back some time ago, when the L.A families were whacked.

Whether this is a curse that plagues my family name, or if it's just the nature of the game, I am unsure. All I do know for certain is that even though I have allot to offer this thing of ours, I do not believe it is worth my time and energy. Instead of wasting time building up something, and then my son having to start over from scratch and waste more time, I am ending the family line, and our involvement in this thing of ours. The massacre in Phili has caused me to see very clearly, and has costed the underworld a good member.

To those who knew my father, farewell, and I am glad I was able to meet you all. If in the case one of my offspring come back, they will be in disguise, with one agenda in mind. Vendetta. Those innocent and vulnerable, who are associated with a certain people will die. If the revenge is sweet as I believe it will be, a new family tradition may have formed."

Mate, you are not the only one who has had hardship through there family bloodline. Take me for example. Now im not gonna spill all the nitty gritty details of what my family has been through. But all I'm gonna say is that I am the last of my brothers who are alive, they all died through no fault of there own but the fault of the leaders at that time. But, do you hear me going out to the streets and whining about how my family is cursed?

A lot of people have gone through the same hardships that you have and not given up. You say you have inherited a lot of skills from your father, but there are obviously a couple of things you didnt learn from him. I bet your father was determined to be someone in philly. you have no desire to do anything with your4 life except die in a street like a bum. thats just sad.

so what i am trying to say is manthe fuck up and stop bring disrespect to your father. Cause if I knew that my child was talking such bull id give him such a beating.

Wow, get a grip on yourself dude. As I told another who sent me hatemail because of this, this isn't a whine, it's a final statement from somebody who is done and moving on, nothing more, even if you really really really truly want it to be :)

I guess I could of just posted "I'm not coming back", but then again, if I'm going to post in an RP forum, one liners just don't do it for me, I'd rather it have more substance. If by some reason you all have a problem with somebody calling it quits, so bad that you have to accuse them of whining simply because they made a final statement which they hope their friends may see sometime down the road, then you're just going to have to work that out with yourself. I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over it either way.

Yeah, forgive me for going out of character but [ooc] I don't have much time to play anymore, I got a family to support and raise in the real world[/ooc]. It was my intention to post one final address with a bit of "dramatic" overtones as a final homage to the RP that ive really got to enjoy during my time here, but some people have taken it personally, so much so that they feel hurling insults via mob mail is necessary. I guess saying nothing at all would of been the smart move, given the reception I got with my honest attampt at a good RP ending. Oh well, life does go on.
