Australians should have won against Ghana. Only way ghana can beat germany now is via penalties cause so far it seems thats the only way Ghana knows how to score. Being both aussie and serbian I want to see serbia win rather then aussies win but still not make it to round 16 and ruin serbias chances. Then again if serbia can't beat australia after beating german then they don't deserve to go to round 16 anyway.

My theory is....there is animosity in that team right now, at the moment they cannot string 5 passes together, they are rigid unimaginative nothing like the england that beat czech republic (correct me if thats the wrong name) 5-1 in qualifying.

For them to detoriate so badly....I just wonder if bridge was playing, they never did sort that business out bridge withdrew....maybe that is praying on some of their minds, lampard and gerrard dont work in midfield together, its been tried many times.

Rooney doesnt fit into a 442 system with two up front, he has always played off the other forward behind him or vice versa.

I also think the lack of beckham on the wing is hampering that 442 system, lennon just isnt good enough in my oponion.

I hope they bring joe cole in and shaun wright phillips and possibly defoe to help rooney.

Sad but true, England isn't winning shite if they don't step it up. What is up with Carragher and Gerrard? Do those guys know the meaning of TEAM? They leave poor Rooney out there looking like an idiot because he was actually under the impression that they played together. Alas!

Troxar i dont agree with you Rooney is always playin 442 formation in Manchester United and Lennon was best England player against USA also dont Blame rooney he didnt score goal but that isnt his fault becouse midlefielders dont play well so attak isnt good.

No no you misunderstand me.

I wasnt blaming rooney, i was blaming the system...rooney plays alone up front at man u with the the second attacker behind him, which is different to how capello has it set up, without the right supply he wont have a chance and then he will go looking for the ball which gets him frustrated, so if they want to sort it out then they need to supply him better.

As for lennon he isnt a consistant crosser like beckham is, that was my point about lennon and its why I dont really rate him.

Yeah i agree with that rooney needs more good balls and of course beckham cant be repleaced by any player.

Just to say Beckham was at top of his perfomances in MANCHESTER UNITED.

it is funny but last year italy had luck and france had zinedin zidane
