Gambling collective 'The pattern' | Started by: AlbertoJunior on May 24, '17 07:19 |
AlbertoJunior had a gambling system. When he was still young, he had dropped out of school to live a life of crime and therefore he only had learned some basics of Statistics, yet he believed he had a gambling system that worked. Based on pattern spotted and on his idea of statistics. With a percentage of 1% of the profit handed to House and µ of course being 0.5, Albertino started thinking.. Usually there was another pattern. Once Albertino made himself a decent fortune, he always got greedy and started non-pattern-based-gambling. That way he was losing everything he owned that way. So he decided to start to pin himself to the rules of the System by starting the gambling collective. He made some pamphlets and spread them by post to be pinned on many Central Parks all over the country.

Well, that was embarrassing, AlbertoJunior said when he walked out of the casino with all of the investments staying with House.. Seems like even The Pattern cannot beat a win rate of 45%.. He decided to walk all the way home, head down, contemplating the future of Gambling Collectives.. |

Rudolph_Kerry had been walking down the streets generally minding his own business. He was lost in thought trying to come up with easier ways of making money then robbing that dam post office, he was pretty sure eventually if would have to just close down! Turning a corner he bumped into a smartly dressed but rather short guy, he almost thought he was a child but that just couldn't be possible, could it. As he turned back from staring at the guy he noticed a pamphlet on the telegraph post. A Gambling collective... a...way to make a profit.....blah.... blah.... blah...... blah.......A must win...with.....guarantees ... Rudolph was pretty sure he had actually read it properly and knew this was the start of something big. He turned around and began looking for this genius AlbertoJunior. |

As JoeKing walked on the streets of Las Vegas, he noticed a flier on a wall by the headquarters of his family. "What in the hell is this?" He thought to himself as he started reading the paper. After mere seconds, it was obvious that not a single word of what was posted made sense to him. "Fucking hell, guess I should have paid more attention in school.. Wait what, gambling?" Puzzled by the paper he was reading, he thought, why would a private business be posting the way in which they make money? Guess transparency is the name of the game now. But JoeKing along with his ancestors had an incredibly bad record when it came to gambling. His father told him stories about how he lost an entire fortune, enough for multiple lifetimes when he was younger thanks to gambling and advised him to never gamble as he would end up having the same faith. According to Joe's grandfather, he also had the same problem when he was young and lost a fortune even bigger. Not long ago, Joe decided to take some extra money and decided to test his luck in Vegas, losing everything be brought with him literally in less than an hour, with an abysmal winning streak of no more than what looked like 15%. "... But if I take this to someone who is actually smart, they might tell me how to beat the odds. No wait, what if this formula is fake and it's just to lure people in? Ahhh!" All this thinking made Joe feel even more confused than in the beginning, so after about 15 minutes of staring at a paper on the wall and looking like an idiot he decided that it just wasn't worth the risk of losing even more money. Good thing nobody was watching him. |

AlbertoJunior had been ridiculed after failing to make a profit on his first attempt at collective gambling, and rightfully so. AlbertoJunior quickly made some mini pamphlets, spread them all over the country again, to be pinned on top of the original flyers. They read:
At a certain pamphlet he had to wait for some time, as JoeKing was looking very puzzled at the flyer. He stood there for a long time and AlbertoJunior was confident that the man in his fresh new suit would be chipping in later as well. He could recognize a gambler's face from miles away.. |
