Ray's Pub Started by: Ray on Jun 12, '17 19:13

Ray's Pub is built out of concrete, with heavy oak windows and doors. The windows are painted a radiant gold as befits a place built for a Jarl. The massive double doors open up to reveal a large common area with a bar on the far wall, easy capable of sitting thirty people. The bar wraps around to the left wall in a L-shape, leading to the restrooms. Over to the right way is a modest sized kitchen with highly skilled chefs trained in all forms of cuisine. In the middle of the room are several tables, each capable of holding fifteen people. Lastly there were a half dozen pool tables in the far corner with a jukebox mixed in.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I welcome you to the Ray's Pub and thank you for attending our grand opening. I am the owner of this great establishment as well as filling in as your bartender from time to time. Please find a seat where you will be comfortable and place your order.."

swaliny walks into a newly opened bar and ofcourse she had to be part of it. she had always been a drinker. she walks up to the bartener and smiles.

she stared at him, waiting for her drink.

Ray smiled as the stunning woman as she took a seat in front of him at the bar. It was his first customer and he was eager to impress. He leaned his forearms against the edge of the bar top and said..

"Welcome to my pub, I got a wide variety of beers from here and also imports. The imports are from Canada and select parts of Europe. Is there any particular brand you would like or a random one from a particular country?"

Peter had been laying low in Detroit since fleeing St. Louis after a few rival gang members turned up dead in a trunk of a car registered in one of his girl's name. He had a child hood friend Ray that lived out that way working under their mentor TonyCosta. Ray had set up a few rackets in Detroit including a Pub which Peter was walking through the front door of.

He saw Ray talking to a broad from New York right at the bar. He felt it was best to keep to himself as he approached the pool tables. While practicing his billiards a beautiful blonde waitress in high heels with her hair in pig tails walked up to him. He wiggled a bit as he popped up from leaning over on the table mid shot and stood up straight puffing out his chest. Flashing a smile he ordered a drink and sent her on her way with a wink. She chuckled to herself as she walked back to the bar to retrieve his glass of straight rye. He also laughed a bit as he was impressed by how things had been going since arriving in the motor city.

Sipping his fresh drink, tuning his game, a gentlemen approaches him chewing a tooth pick wearing a leather jacket and denim pants. His hair was as greasy as the way he asked to play a game; 1 V 1. Peter grinned for a split second before nodding in acceptance. The greaser then threw a grand on the table. Once again Peter flashed a grin for the moment before throwing a grand down of his own. Peter was a known hustler back in the day around St. Louis billiard joints. After playing for a mere five minutes the greaser was leaving in a rage as Peter collected and counted his earnings. He could see Ray approaching as he did so..

He was parched and decided to go check out the Ray's Pub, walking inside he took off his coat and threw it up against a chair before walking in deeper over to where the bar sat firmly in the middle of the room; it was a nice oak finish, looked very lovely, he liked it, it was alright he thought to himself as he brushed up against the bar and sang softly inside his head, something about wood. It was a decent rendition, he didn't really sing but in his head sometimes he would, it was okay.

"Hello where is Ray? I would like something to drink."

He looked over towards the drinks and would like to have on of them, he thought to himself. It was good.

swaliny smiled at the bartender. so this was the owner, who was going otsave her her drink. she thought she hurt a name, ray.

she looked deep into his eyes as a means of intimitating him.

New bars always interested Chu, he was keen on trying them out and enjoy the local specialties. Using a lot bribery and a little brute force, he managed to convince his owner, Kid, for an evening at the newly opened pub. They both walked in, Chu first closely followed by his boss.

Kid was wearing his shotgun behind his back, with the help of a strap, kind of like a backpack. He saw Chu walking to the bar area, as per usual. Alcohol didn't interest Kid, in fact, he thought it tasted like shit. Absolute shit. He couldn't understand how some people actually enjoyed it. He quickly asked Chu to buy him an orange juice and they separated as Kid walked towards the pool tables. Pool was something he used to excel at, back in the days where he was in Los Angeles, but he was so busy being a Hand now he was afraid he was quite rusted.

"Wanna play a game?" he threw in PeterLicavoli's direction.

Chu immediately walked to the bar area, after taking his owner's order. It was a pain bringing him to bars! He couldn't be blamed, the young capo was only six years old now. He sat down on one of the high stools and ordered.

"Imma take a orange juice and a specialty of y'all please!" he said, eager to get his alcohol. He looked around, hoping to see familiar faces, and as he was turning his head to his left, he recognized the stunning Swaliny. The same Swaliny that had served his previous owner, Coltrane, as Left Hand and who helped out his former boss a lot. He jumped on her, hugging her tightly before letting go, wearing a huge on his face.

"How ya been m'lady Swaliny?"

Ray chuckled at swaliny's response. He found it quite charming and proceeded to reach into the mini fridge under the bar to retrieve a nice ale from Belgium. Popping the top some smoke arose from the ice cold bottle as he slid it her way with a smile.

"Hope this hits the spot, it's a spritzer. On the house of course"  he said with a wink to end the sentence. He began walking over to his old friend PeterLicavoli. He was hanging out by the billiards area sipping his usual and hustling the crowd. It was a talent of his that got the two in trouble as teens. Ray didn't have a lot of time on his hands as things were getting very busy, but he had enough to whisper in Peter's ear to meet in the back room in an hour.

A man that was dressed almost a cross of lawyer slash politician had approached the bar looking for Ray so he rushed back to his post to assist the man.

"Hello my friend, I'm Ray, the owner of this fine establishment. How might I be of service?" he said observing the man carefully. He seem to be eyeing up the top shift single malt scotch but not just one in particular. Ray spun around and grabbed the oldest bottle he had on the shelf. Removing the cork bottle top he brings the bottle under JebBush's nose so he can smell the aroma and age. Seeing the smile on Jeb's face he quickly poured the man a glass, served it, an then place the bottle back in it's place.

swaliny smiled one last time at the bartender. she might have been flirting a little but no harm in that right? she liked getting the mens attention espacially when she gets free stuff.

thank you very much. i am sure  will be seeing you around.

she looked over to the right and saw a man comming towards her. he looked familiar. as he came closer her smile started getting bigger. the man, who she recognised as the_kid, pulled her in for a tight hug.

i am doing pretty great, as do you i can see. congratulations on your promotion. i know you will do very well. want me to buy you another drink?

"Thank you 'ery much darling! And you ain't need to worry 'bout it, I got ya covered for tha rest of the evening!" he said, wearing a grim and cheeky smile as he took a few 20 dollar bills to show Swaliny.

He wasn't a kid anymore... well technically he was, but not mentally. He had stolen. He had almost died. He had killed. He was one hella fucked up kid.

"So! How my favorite woman doing?"

swaliny blushes as she hears that.

well right now i'm just doing amazing the_kid, but i dont need the drinks from you. i can get us free drinks. just throw in the charmes and ask.

sometimes being a girl in an all guy world wasnt so bad. she could take advantage of most of the guys as she just flirted with them to do so.

A little smirk grew on Kid's face. Swaliny definitly was one of his favorite friends, he just loved her energy so much. He was glad she had joined them at the Palace, he enjoyed having friends over with him.

"You are lovely darling! I'll have an orange juice please..." he said, winking at her. Being so young also had it's advantages, most people found him cute and gave him plenty of goodies.

Stumbling into Ray's pub he looks at the bartender and smiles.  Then he slowly reached into his pocket and pulls out a few hundred as he raises to his feet and leans against the bar.  Blood still slowly streaming from his forehead.  He hands the bartender the money and tells him to get him some clean hot water and to use his phone.

Sorry bub I'm here looking for a drink and an old friend.

After a several minutes Frank has managed to clean himself up and then walks to the back door.  He see's a car pull up it was John and Tony they were carrying tommy guns and their ready to kill smiles.   Frank tells them that they will have plenty of things to do with those guns. Frank was still upset and his face showed that.  He forms a plan to get back at those that wanted him removed.  His plan was to take everything from them their lively hood, their property, their pride then their lives.

Today we will make history.

Nikki exits the ladies' room and spots none other than her Frank, sitting at the bar and bleeding. He looked...determined. Hell bent. Mad.

She'd be lying to herself if she said that didn't do it for her. Sidling up to him, she tilted her head and gazed into his eyes as her hip bumped into his leg. With a quick swipe, she dashed the blood from his head with her thumb and licked it.

"What on earth have you been up to, Sweetheart? More importantly, can I play?" She asked with a sweet smile.

"I have friends," she purred, opening her blazer in front of him as a flasher would, exposing twin Colts in a double harness underneath.

Husky walked in with a slow measured pace, taking in every detail of the pub. The type of wood used on the bar, the kind of decor, the booze on the shelf and the people inside. He had made a point of visiting the most infamous bars, pubs and speakeasies around. This one certainly qualified. He strolled on down to the bar, took off his soot stained fedora and placed it on the counter. His arm rested on the wood as he half turned to gaze at the room. He wondered what it would be like to own a pub like this. His hand went down his pocket and pulled out the pack of tobacco he always carried with him. He started leisurely rolling a cigarette while he continued thinking about what part of the pub would he keep and what he would replace. "Barkeep! Double whiskey, neat, no ice. Keep 'em coming." he said to the barman. Done rolling, he lazily placed the cigarette in his mouth and looked around for a light...

Sitting there Frank grins as Nikki shows her girls off, two beautiful chrome plated colts.  He looked at her with amazement knowing that she was ready to fight alongside him.  That's when he know that deep down she had true feelings for her and he could not risk endangering her life because someone wanted a piece of his rackets.  She was more important then power or money.  Then he remembered what his grandfather told him as a small child.

"One day you will find happiness and when you do you must hold onto it because she will be worth more than silver and gold; power and fame. So be wise little one.  The fox knows when to stop chasing and the lion knows when to fight and what to fight for. "

Frank always thought of his grandfather as wise as an old owl. Frank never thought he would find her his goal was to reach the top with as little bloodshed as possible and then settle down in a big house.  Frank always heard and understood woman can change the game at any moment and Nikki_Swango was a game changer.   Smiling at her.

So your ready for action, you are incredible, Just knowing that put's things in a new prospective.  I, no let me rephrase that; we will have to rethink some thinks together.    Gun play is okay when your love ones aren't at risk.

"I appreciate the sentiment, but you're a bit of a spoilsport, Frank," she said, helping herself to his drink. She'd order one of her own, but the bartender seemed to be dead or otherwise occupied.

"Gotta let the demons out somehow, before they escape on their own," she adds, tapping her fingernails on the tabletop absently.

Frank noticed that Nikki was irritated so he leaned back in his chair and looked at her.   He began to wonder what has caused her to change to use alcohol and drugs before it was a simple drink now it was much more.  Stress is one thing this is something else.  Was she hiding a secret, or is this her way of crying for help or had she changed her mind about Frank.

Okay Nikki, I'm not one to force anyone from doing what they want to do.  You do what you feel is best.  But this thing I have to handle, I handle.

Frank pulled out his lighter and a cigarette and inhaled slowly then exhaled blowing the smoke away from the table.  His gaze never broke away from Nikki and his thought processes kicked into overdrive.  He became very quite as he watched Nikki reactions.

Ramires walked into the pub and headed straight up to the bar, he pulled out a bar stool and sat down. He looked at the barkeep. "I'll have a beer and a shot of tequila, oh and leave the bottle."

He downed his shot and started to enjoy his beer as he poured himself another shot of tequila.

It had been a long day and Maddy was ready to unwind. On her way home she decided to stop in one of the local pubs. She had passed it a few times previously and had told her self that she would have to check it out some time. "What better time than now?" she thought to herself as she walked in. It was nice inside, not too fancy but very welcoming.

She headed to the bar and sat at one of the stools. "I'll take a shot of whiskey please." She smiled "Thanks."
