We have just added a feature that randomly sends codes to those people CURRENTLY active on IRC's main chat channel.  I put a little more than 10,000 codes in its queue, so lets see how it goes.

The goal is to get people more social on IRC, not to give exact formulas to get the most credits with as little social activity as possible.

Active means you were recently holding a conversation on IRC.  "Recently" can be found out pretty easily via trial and error or by asking your upper structure.

Well we gave this a week and it has had a very minimal impact at best.  We will be scrapping this idea and allocating its credits towards other events that may promote more social activities.
