Return of The Monkey King Started by: Sun_Wukong on Jun 15, '17 17:23

It was June 13th. 1720. Chicago. A bright sunny day. It was, until the storm approached. That particular storm was a rather ugly one. Miracles happened on that day. There was thunder in the desert. Every disease seemed to take a pause. It was as if something much more important and historic was going to take place.

A meteorite landed in the desert, far away from any human's eyes. It had a huge impact on the ground when it landed. At a radius of 10 km, the ground was scorched, in a perfect circle. Looking closer, It was seen that at the core of the impact was a humanoid figure. No, a primordial humanoid figure. When the smoke cleared, there was a creature sitting in meditative pose at the center of the circle of destruction. It seemed to stay there that whole day. He uttered a single word. "Sun Wukong"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Gods had been furious with the monkey. He was causing more than small trouble in the heavens. The truth was, He was not their creation, but a demon's. The demon's. When the God of War found him as a child in the battlefield, wearing armor and craving blood when all he should have been needing was a cradle and milk. He had brought home the wonder monkey and trained him. He had re-named the monkey as Sun Wukong. But since he really was the devil's only spawn, his prized protege, nobody was willing to fight Sun Wukong. Then, the God of Wisdom, Wukong's adoptive mother, had an idea.

He was to be sent to Middle World. The land of humans and playground of all creation. The gods, knew that Sun Wukong, being king of monkeys, and trained harder than any being in Wushu, and every martial art known as well as the unknown, would defeat every being on Earth. He would rise as King and God in a world, where he was sent as punishment.

So, when the Gods banished him to the Middle World, they put a mystic seal on him. His powers would be limited, and the only time he could use all his power would be when his life would come almost to an end. The memory of why he was banished was taken away from the creature, so as not to let history repeat. However, his power over the animals was allowed to stay with him. He was allowed to take a soul of a human, from the underworld (which the Gods had conquered after the Great War.) to guide him on his quest and advise him when needed. Sun Wukong had initially thought he would choose the soul of Balaji Baji Rao, the great fighter king of India, but soon found out that that particular soul was scheduled for re-incarnation. He was browsing through the files on the souls in the underworld, when he stood at the wrong place at the wrong time, and a ghost unknowingly passed through him.

The monkey had such immense power that when the ghost passed through him, it was trapped. Sun Wukong, felt murderous rage within him, rage that he had never felt before. This ghost had rekindled the fire of violence which had been buried deep inside him. He chose the soul of the ghost that had passed through him and learnt everything about the life it had on Earth quickly. The ghost, in its living state, had been an assassin. She had felt that her life on Middle Earth was to no use. Fused with the soul and its memories, Sun Wukong set on his journey to Earth. When he landed on Middle Earth, he was still re-calibrating his senses, and allowing part of his "Ghost side" to see what he saw and hear what he heard.

After his arrival on earth, he had been living the fun life of a rogue, thief. Finally, he figured that it was time to go big. Go to the top of the ladder, with minimal use of his powers, which even under the mystic seal were still much greater than the skill of any human alive.

The ghost was that of an assassin by the name of ShadowMoon.

Sun Wukong yawned and stretched when he woke up. He had landed in this miserable world 300 years ago, but it felt like just yesterday. He still remembered the Heavenly city. Hopping out of bed, Wukong meditated fora while. Ever since his decision to go big, he had been recruited by a major family, shot at, and recruited by an even bigger family. His older incarnation Majeh, was a fool. He should have lay low. Why did he ever surface?

There may have been some issues in the criminal world, but now, Sun Wukong had been recruited by the Shi no ken group. He was having a headache. When the Gods took away his memory, they also took away part of his power of speech. Now, he could talk to animals but not humans. The Gods, feeling bad, let him use Telepathic communications. It wasn't always effective, but still better than no communication.

Wukong jumped up and around, screeching. This headache was starting to bother him. The Messenger God had once tricked him into wearing his "crown" which was actually a cuff. Every time, the gods wanted to send Wukong a message to tell him he is doing a bad thing, or to have him do a quest for them, they would use the crown. And every time he received a message, the crown would wind up tighter and tighter until his head felt like bursting open. [Damn the Gods!!!] Wukong thought.

==============================================

Not all in this world was miserable. He had found a being, not of this world, called Kinoko. He was a huge help. Much bigger help than that ShadowMoon Ghost. Every Incarnation of Wukong provided him with extra special powers. It was different every time. His Majeh incarnation was the best so far, granting him 100% marksmanship skills. The current incarnation was useless in this world, unless someone was shooting at him. And the Monkey King cannot die. The Gods cursed him such that he had to spend eternity on this wretched world.

Wukong had made some good friends in his time here. He had lost many due to time, wars and hatred.

==============================================

Wukong screamed. "ALRIGHT!! WHAT DO YOU WANT? JUST TEL ME!! NO NEED TO CRUSH MY HEAD!!!!!!" in the language of the monkeys, he shouted skywards.

The headache decreased. The crown seemed to relax a bit.

"Gods loved games. They would never tell you what they want, but play with you until they get bored. " mumbled Sun Wukong in Human Tongue.
