| An artistic night on the town | Started by: Noodle on Jun 20, '17 20:09 |

Noodle was wandering around downtown when he came upon a random idea. He'd heard the humans back at his home talking about stealing paintings. He wasn't sure what they did with them, or why they even wanted those weird things on the wall. However he was always up for a challenge and liked to find new ways to earn treats. Making his way towards a store that appeared to be selling some wall thingies he started to prowl the area wondering how he was going to manage to even get one of those things off the wall, let alone out the door and back home. |

Exiting a bookstore in a quaint area of town that catered to high-end tastes, Terra nearly steps on Noodle outside of an art boutique. Leaning down to pet him, she looks through the large display window to see what he's staring at. Paintings. Dozens of them. Not the cheap reproductions, either. This was a legitimate gallery, and Terra could see a security guard standing just inside the door. He was overweight, but he was also armed. Looking back down at the cat, she speaks quietly to him, as if he could actually understand her. Hell, maybe he could, he was pretty damn clever. "I'm guessing you're not just admiring the pretty colors," she says, wondering if cats can even see colors. "Looking for the big score, eh? Set you up for life with cans of tuna and feather toys?" She asks, grinning. Looking around, she spies a telephone booth and walks towards it, fishing coins from her pocket. She makes a couple calls, hoping The_Kid and Ghost_Face might be willing to help with a heist... |

Kid was chasing the few rats that he had pet around his room, he wanted to try out this new miniature leash he had invented. But damn... these mice where hard to catch! Suddenly, the phone erupts in a loud cacophonie and scares the rats away under the bed, far from Kid's reach. He let out an annoyed sigh and answered the phone relectantly. At his great surprise, the smooth and raw sound of @TerraGato's voice spoke at the other end of the line. After a quick chat, he grabbed his dark green jacket and grabbed his bodyguard Chu on his way out. He was equipped with his favorite shotgun, which he wore around his back. They made it to the gallery in no time, immediatly spotting the lovely singer. "So... wassup?" he asked casually, trying way to hard to sound cool. |

Terra tears her eyes away from the lovely dress in the neighboring window...she needed to come back for that one day. Turning her gaze towards The_Kid, she brushes a stray rat hair from his jacket and smiles. "I think Mr. Noodle here has his eye on some art. Or, rather, what that art can be turned into. Are you up for a little heist? I tried calling Ghost_Face...suppose he got lost on the way over, carried off on a breeze or something," she chortles. |

Noodle spots an opportunity and slips inside the gallery door as a customer exits. No one even saw him enter, once inside he makes himself scarce waiting for his helpers to note his absence outside and join him inside. |

Biting her lip, Terra considers her options. She could stroll in with The_Kid, a pretentious mother/son ruse of the two hailing from an elitist family with money to burn, or perhaps she should walk in on Chu's arm, playing the part of a well-to-do couple looking to decorate a new apartment in the city? Glancing around one last time in the hopes of getting some last-minute assistance from Ghost_Face, she shrugs and grabs The_Kid's hand. With any luck, he'd come along and simply scare the bejesus out of the guard and they could just help themselves. "Noodle's already in. Let's just wing it, eh?" she says, opening the gallery door and guiding him inside. |

He had been wanting to answer Terra's call, he really had but sometimes business got in the way of friends. Regardless he found out about the heist from the message she left. Hoping he wasn't too late he traveled to the art gallery she mentioned. There was nobody outside so he decided to enter and see if he could find them. It needed to be stealthy though, gladly it was something he was known for. Well that's what he thought at least.. The guard currently recovering from a heart attack spoke otherwise. He looked like he had saw a ghost, shaking his head he wondered what must have scared him. After entering the gallery he looked for his friend and once crime partner.. |

Kid followed TerraGato as she grabbed his hand and walked inside the art gallery. He vaguely remembered Noodle from the Tea House, back in Los Angeles, and that's when he decided to wing it. "Mommy!! Look!!! A caaaaat! It's so cute!" he screamed, pointing towards the poor creature. He let go of Terra's hand and ran towards the cat to pet it. The security guard flinched at the vision of a kid running towards the precious paintings, and Kid threw a small subtle wink towards her partner in crime. He had distracted the guard, it was time for her to act. He hoped his good friend Ghost_Face could join them soon, feeling a breeze of cold air. He had to be close. |

Noodle looked around as The_Kid yelled out about him and then let out a loud meow to draw more attention before taking off like he was running from the kid. As he ran about the place dodging in and out of people he purposely knocked stuff over causing as much of a scene as possible. As the boy and now guard chased him around trying to catch him up and get him out of the gallery he hoped Terra could manage to nab a painting and sneak out. He also felt a strange cold draft but didn't know what to attribute it to. |

Smiling quietly to herself as chaos erupted all around, Terra took her time, leisurely removing a few choice pieces and setting them each just outside the door, one at a time. By the time she was finished, she'd nabbed four paintings, and even managed to pocket a small sculpture of an abstract lion. At least, she thought it was a lion. His head was oversized and his feet looked misshapen, but after tilting up the base to see the price marked on the bottom, she let out a low whistle and decided he was worth taking. Putting on her best stressed-mommy face, Terra rushed over to The_Kid and grabbed his arm. "Joey! Stay away from that thing! I think it's gone rabid or something!" She calls out, pulling her young accomplice out the door. When she pushes it open, Noodle bolts out, followed by a cold draft, and once outside, they each take hold of some of the booty and bolt down the street and into the nearest alleyway. A few moments pass as they laugh and catch their collective breaths. Kneeling down, Terra speaks to Noodle. "I can get these fenced for a tidy profit and make sure everyone sees a nice payout. This one's for you to keep, though," she says, producing the abstract lion from her overcoat pocket. "Our fearless little leader!" |

Noodle rubs up against Terra's legs affectionately before grabbing the lion statue around the neck with his mouth and trots off towards his home to set it up. Once there he locates a nice spot for his new immobile friend and takes a well earned nap next to it. Waking later in the day Noodle sets off for new adventures around town. Always mice to kill for a cat in the streets. |
