I was just browsing through the Stock exchange trying to pick a stock when I realized you can only purchase 5 shares. Now I was ready to spend the Money I had on hand to buy me a lot of shares. Imagine my disapointment when I found that 5 was the limit. Or was that just me? Or only for my rank? But either way it pans out I ddont think that there should be a Limit on how many shares o can purchase. I think it should be based on how much that person is willing to buy and how much they can afford. Doing this would add a little more realism to this Thing Of Ours don't you think. Anyway let me know what you think. Please Feel free to respond with comments and insults and whatever thoughts that may cross your mind. |

Fulmineo, 5 is the limit per business (Up to 50 shares) total. Partly, the reason being is so that everyone may have a chance at owning some stock in a single business. Which equates to only 20 people @ 5 ea. So if you consider fairness at all, It works. If Joe_Don buys up all 50shares of his own business, well...That only leaves less for others and kind of takes away from the idea. |

I see your point but I thought It would be more realistic. I may be an Idiot but is there a limit on how many share in real life? |

No, and your not an idiot at all for the idea, I am just exlaining reason's for a cap. There is a certain balance admin is trying to keep. Especially when it comes to the money aspect. I doubt they will be willing to make it unlimited. Also, I would be leary in buying that much as some life spans aren't long around here. :) |

An increase in shares would be a great addition. With a five share limit, you can't really gain that many profits. |

Thats why I suggested no Limits. It would increase the Profit. But apparently It wouldn't be Fair. Oh well. |

Well if the Stock Market was still in operation I would love to see this Suggestion added to the game. I remember being extremely frustrated with the 5 stocks limit |

I'd personally love to see the return of the MRSE as it'd be a fantastic complement with the tipping feature available right now. I'm not sure why the MRSE was removed in the first place, but with the steps taken over the last few months that have chipped away at our income (player owned casinos, dice fee, small reduction in drug prices, plans for OCs to be district based, etc) I think it'd be a welcome return to encourage post activity in our respective cities. |

I, too, would like to see this, as I missed it before (I wasn't here yet). There are ways to bring it back even unofficially, though. Two examples follow: My father was part of a partnership that bought a certain number of Lotto tickets each week. Three of us all bought the same number of tickets, and if any of us won, we split it three ways. We did this three times, and won twice. A better example was back when casinos were user-owned. My father, JonnyBeRed, put up 62% of the start up cost of a casino in Ch, The Northern Lights Casino, Inc. The other 38% was funded by selling shares in that casino for 1 million each. There were 20 shares sold. These 7 shareholders were entitled to a percentage of the profits of the casino based on the number of shares owned. This was a VERY popular idea at the time, and my family and shareholders were quite pleased with how it was working out. Three weeks into this venture, the FBI shut down all the casinos run by mobsters. |
