A few months ago, in a thread much like this one, Disorder invited anyone who was unhappy with his regime to take a 1% shot at him. Today i took him up on that invitation and took my shot; i missed; i died.  Boo hoo.

I have read Squishy's rules of the game and didn't break them. The unwritten rule i object to is the one that players, who are not trusted friends of Curtis, are cut off at 60 days. (Oh, and Orange, i also object sending up witness statements, with failure met with "no first, second warnings just punishment". )

I was told that what i did i tainted my bloodline - maybe. But I enjoy the game and will continue playing; in a few days, or a week or maybe two i will come back and join a crew ... obviously under a different name. Some time after that i will take another shot at Disorder. I am sure he will survive that one too.  

But, in the meantime, if you don't like the current regime, i recommend that you take your 1% shot at Disorder.  Of course you are not going to succeed, but do it for the hell of it.  This is, after all, a game.  

Or maybe we're fucking tired of the same cycle every few weeks. New Auth -> Auth grows too fast -> Auth dies

Maybe switch it up once in a blue moon and players will start to give a shit again

Indeed TheDonBot, I completely agree with you. It's easy to get a gun in a day or two, 200 times a year, and not care for anything more than a giggle or two in three weeks (I mean, I don't know how many hours in 3 weeks?) much more difficult to build up something more constructive, more durable, with all the efforts and time that it involves putting in.

Curtis must have a lot of trusted friends.

That is just one part of the explanation Larry. One can't rely only on the trust of his friends. It also requires one hell of experience and some intelligence and wisdom to stay in power that long, twice, with so many haters around. I remember him saying something like "I learned from my own errors in the past, and wouldn't let them happen again..." (paraphrased).

Sorry, my comment was in reference to this:

 As there are lots of players who are 60+ days old; Curtis must have a lot of trusted friends. 

Case in point per Larrys comment; I'm over 60 days old. Alive and well, for now. Whilst Curtis and I have had friendships in the past, my previous character was killed by him/the group around him. This would surely indicate I can't 100% be trusted. Yet, i'm alive. And over 60 days old.

So kinda puts paid to that theory really.

Taking a 1% shot is fairly pointless and does indeed taint a bloodline. Why wouldn't it? You are putting in ZERO effort and trying to end thousands of hours of effort on the opponents side. How about you wish to take down the big bad guy, you put in the work it requires to do so.

cmonBruh, to be completely fair here, it takes approx as much effort to be a 21 days capo as to be a 2 days gangsta with permanent auth. In comparison to being a ~40 weeks old GFC,  it virtually amounts to zero effort indeed, imo.

Might as well give it a shot if you aren't in with the current regime.  

Roman and Premeir both fell to 1%'s so it is doable if people get tired of waiting for their time to die.

I'm sure you'll hear some trolls that will try to convince you otherwise, but there is a reason the last few takedowns have not had street speeches accompanying them.

It takes what I consider to be a FAIR amount of effort to get to 25 units, buy an HQ, give yourself perm auth and take a shot at whomever you damn well please in 11 days.  

Keep in mind that you need to go for the big guy himself, nothing will change if you successfully kill his disposable and replaceable underlings.

After Disorder dies Monsterhair will be taken out by what remains of Vegas, should be fun to watch.

Or you could get back to being cattle waiting to be slaughtered if you haven't already left this world, the choice is yours.

Just to note: Perhaps the last few kills haven't had an accompanying speech because regardless of the speech, they all end up the same way. Vengeful bloodlines screaming about how they'll get revenge, arguing their parents' deaths were unwarranted, and others trying to argue the opposite... 

After awhile, I'd surely get tired of it too...
