1.Wacking. when u shot someone u should have a pic of a dead body on the street coner.

2. pickpockeing. when u pp some one u should see a video like of u robing them or them beating you up.

3. JailBusts. jail busts should be like a game u have to find your way to there cell and picklock it the free them.

4. Bars. u should have a nice pic on every bar.

Great idea Ronnie, nd then when there are more than 10 people logged in we can wait 20 minutes for each page to load.

no coz if its done right witch it will be coz these ppl at MR are good at this :) so it will be l;ike it is now :D

Yes the coders on MR are great, but increase graphics, video and 'game sequencies' will place added pressure on he server, and eat into the bandwidth of the servers. As was stated in the recent 'new server' thread, already there are quite long periods for the backups and mainenence each day.

Easier said than done, and as Robert previously said. It would slow down the server considerably.

not only would it slow down the server but in my opinion it would ruin Mr for me. This game has always been about text and role play, i just couldn't imagine Mr with pictures. A no from me.

there will be no changes with role play and stuff just jails will be better and bars wil be better and wacking pplz ect :).

You don't get what we're saying mate. We know there will be no changes, all you're asking for is graphics etc. however, extra crap on the game puts extra demand on the servers. Extra demand on the servers means slower MySQL queries and a slower response time. So instead of virtually instantly going from page to page, there could be a 5 second delay, making the difference between you getting a kill or not, or even the prices of drugs changing between you clicking buy or sell and the transaction completing. IE you fly to Chi and see Coke at 10k, and you think happy days, i bout at 6, and I'm making 4k a unit. you click seel and voila its done, except now you look and realise you sold not for 10k, but the 4.8k that the price is now showing, meaning you lost 1.2k a unit. If the site gets bogged down with server intensive crap, then that could be a reality for some.

Robert_McCall, actually the proposed changes wouldn't be that difficult to make, and wouldn't be that big of a load on the server. For instance the graphic on wack. That would be a simple image, which would show only on success? That's 1 load per wack. The only thing that might cause the server any strain would be the video proposal, but if that were to be done as a gif image and not a video than it wouldn't be a strain at all really.

I'd be half tempted to turn off embedding as with time the images shown over and over would become extremely repetitive.

What about those on slower connections or that use their phones/iPods/etc to connect? How would more images affect them? Many of our community members do use alternatives to computers to connect. Browser based gaming now includes other technology and the people that use it should be taken into consideration as well.

I have to side with the traditionalists though.. More images? Eh..... Not so much my flavour of the week either. It's about the text... We're unique in that.

That's another good point caylet. MR has constantly resisted attempts to change the lok or feel of the game because its a tribute to what was. It captures the look and feel of the old .org (before they changed it for the worse and lost many of their Old players) and its one of the things that appeals to the majority. Adding needless graphics will only slow the game down, slow the server down, alienate many and change the feel and texture of the game. Also, as Nightmares said, can you imagine who repetative it would get seeing the same image 3 times a day, 12 times a day or 200 times a day in the case of Jailbreaking :o

I really don't see how images depicting a jailbreak or successful wack would add anything to the game? It would be a novelty that grew old, for some faster than others. We have been able to keep the uncomplicated, no frills theme going and it's nice. It makes us different from all of the other games bloated with images and effects. Go take a look at a few, you'll see the overcomplicated menus and completely retarded features. You'll see games that are pretty much the same as others.

I admin one game where there are graphics for every action you do... The players noticed and liked it for about a week. Now, not so much. They don't even care if there are images or not and some have asked us to remove them as they make navigation on their phones difficult, waste bandwidth downloading them (Remember my focus on those playing from phones? Some of have limited bandwidth plans.), and slow page loads down.

I fail to see how this would improve a game that is already damn good without unneeded imagery.
