| CLs Dying Wish - Auth | Started by: Squishy on Jul 18, '17 20:44 |

I propose that a CL has a dying wish. As long as the shot didnt fully stealth him, and while his BGs are still alive (to carry on his wishes), every former member of his family now has auth on the family of the shooter. This auth goes away once they join a crew, or all the BGs fully get killed. Right now, when your CL is shot, you are banned by code because of the rank difference from shooting higher ranked targets (auth) while unsponsored. This at least gives the remnants of a family the ability to fight back if they choose to, and not be as restricted. |

I like this idea, if they seek revenge on a beloved CL of theirs, this will give them that ability. |

I think this is a decent idea, though I'd highly prefer it only to be applicable to those who were Loyal. Those who were Disloyal actively chose to negatively impact their CL's chances of survival, and I don't feel should be rewarded with any special ability after their CL's death - as that's something they were alright with by being Disloyal. |

Interesting idea to be developed. What about giving Goombas- 2% wack chance instead of 1 %? |

2% is a little too high. 1 in 50 shots of a few hours of work shoudlnt topple an IWP GF CH type thing. These big accounts have hundreds up on hundreds of hours, I really think if you want more than a 1% you have to work for it. |

It'd certainly save someone having to set up to do this. It's already a thing done by people when they set up to shoot back, so yeah, may as well allow them automatic auth and allow even the lower-ranks/less-wealthy/newer players a chance of revenge. However... This could well work against you in your quest to avoid 'scorched earth' wars. If there's an increased chance 20 Goombas are gonna come back and attempt 1%s or throttle all your low-protected newbs, people are gonna be far more inclined to remove the entire family in one fell swoop, newbs or not, regardless of rank. |

" This could well work against you in your quest to avoid 'scorched earth' wars " If we cant change it, then maybe its time to look into embracing it and give them the chance to fight back? |

"If we cant change it, then maybe its time to look into embracing it and give them the chance to fight back?" Being someone that's always fought back at every opportunity, this suits me perfectly. I think everyone should be invited the chance to shoot back and defend their dead leaders/crewmates. Regardless of how futile resistance may seem, it's a right. |

Id like to expand that to a District/City maybe? Usually in a war; its multiple crews, districts involved. This would narrow their scope some what. |

I'm against it. Every family being totally eradicated is not only unrealistic (as most were amalgamated into the survivors), which is the only logical step in response to them now being threats, but also shitty for players having to needlessly restart each time. |
