Today a young man came into these streets and shot his mouth out. Now this young man was fresh off the boat but had been left diaries to read throughout his travels. So as my time will be coming to and end soon I'd like to muse over these diaries.

First off one thing springs to mind. Member whoring in the past was frowned upon by many among the hierarchy, however with many honest citizens turning to questionable business and the ability to sponsor has risen in the random mails to those new to our world. Hold on stop right there, this isn't a rant about it. It's actually a form recognition. It's great for those fresh out of Ellis island to get the help they need, rather than wandering about clueless. However what I have noticed one person can receive many mails of help. Some pushy about joining a family others, just generally helpful. Which kudos is great, but one can feel a little smothered at times.

Another thing that I have noticed is the emphasis on how people are spoken to, obviously rank plays a huge part in this. Yes my word is pretty much worthless, but that being said i have heard comments from those of higher ranks who can barely string a coherent sentence together.

Another thing that struck me is the hitters of our world. In times gone past hitting was an art and as is well know Flying Pig pretty much laid the groundwork for it. It just shocks me that things are so much more simpler now. Not that I'm saying any changes should be made by city hall. It just scares me a little that any lunatic can train a gun and it's used recklessly. It seems to me the respect and honour that went with being a true hitter has been lost along the way.

My final final thoughts, to those out there who question the way things are done, there is only one solution. Put the effort in and change it yourself. If all your gonna do is throw your toys out of the pram then really what is the point in putting all your work in, if you can't make an influence in the family you've pledged loyalty.

Okay so the final thing I have to address, my behaviour in the streets, my life is mine and how I chose to live it is my own. Unlike the majority who are bound by rules I am not. The whole idea of my final thoughts are just that for I will be dead soon.

But that being said there are plenty of people here who have the ability to change things if they feel that strongly about it. There have been many conversations about how things need to change and yes this is another one of them

It did jog quite a few thoughts in my mind, that someone might come along and change the way things are so I have to train harder and faster. Become stronger so that i can stop those people when they come.

Bad news Broken...We are bounded by rules.Sure we can break those rules but if we do we must be also prepared for its consequences and if your next of kin chooses to live the way you did I'm pretty much sure he wont last long either.Its either you fall in line or you fall out.The choice is for your next of kin to make.

People always say they want change and want this and that, great im all for them, but what happens when there is a group of people who don't think change is needed?

If you check you'll see that I am not affiliated with any of the organisations that run our cities. So the only rules I am bound by, are those set by the gods and I have not and will not deviant from those rules.

I don't think theres any such thing as a lunatic training their gun when a family takes the appropriate measures to take care of people who are in training. The people who end up being "lunatics" are often the ones who are allowed to run free without proper supervision of their families.

Overall I feel that theres no glaring problems that can't be overcome given people take the proper effort and the endless debate mostly serves as ranting that serves little purpose.

Good point Teddy I shall say exactly that.  Now ladies and gentle men,  I come here to speak for the new people of MR.  I myself have been here overall almost a year now comming soon in a couple months and I have never known what 'the good ol' days were like and probably never will to be honest.  The only thing that us 'newbs', so to speak, can do is create a new path for ourselves in 'this thing of ours'.  To us it is the old days right now.  So IF things were to change things to go back to the past would still be new to us.  That being said, everything is new to us even though to some it's old news or 'the way it was'. 

So in conclusive, things have changed from the past, things will change from the way it is now and also things will change from what the future beholds.  There is no stopping it.  Do I wish to see what the past was? Yes.  Do I regret not ever seeing it? No.  Because I have faith in us, in this...thing, that we will all lead to something great.

Just because the world has changed from everything the old world used to be does not mean you ignore everything.

There are principles and rules from the old world that are still in common practice today. There are old rules and principles from the old world that should, in my opinion, be in place. Don't say stand up and do something about it either. Doing something about it would involve breaking the ultimate rule and buying out. Why would I bother disrespecting Iota in such a way. That is one thing I wish I would stop hearing from the old world. It's different now. Rogues are never going to be as successful as they used to be when you need waves of BG hitters to have a chance of shooting a leader.

It isn't a case of out with the old and in with the new. I think the line needs to be a little bit more blurred in some respects as to where the old world ends and this world began. Whether it is viable to do this is another matter entirely..
