It wasn't easy to impress Luca. He had seen many different business styles from many types of people. The activity in Las Vegas commercial districts had little for him to raise his brow at, much less open his wallet. There were a few names he had scribbled down which appeared above the door of places he saw potential. One Lucy Fazzone appeared committed to the running of an old watering hole, though the place had yet to charm him enough to take a step inside. He had discovered a local man to Summerlin was running an efficient operation out of an antiques dealership. The name in his notebook read in an elegant script 'Jeb Bush'. He had heard the name in short talks with his new employer, it was his understanding he was a man to know.

The only other notable money spinner was the Terminus Grand. A fully fledged, undoubtedly illegitimate, casino which needed no aid in bringing in green. The owner was also noted as being among the upper echelons of power within Nevada.

No, Giordano's interests was for those pushing for their businesses to be more, those willing to broaden the idea of what it meant to own a business in the fabulous districts of Las Vegas.

He now sat in a local hall, hired from a performance troupe training to exert themselves at the evening cabarets. Chairs were now scattered in no particular order or arrangement and mostly occupied by well dressed folk. Collected in the hall were men and women of business, those interested in boosting the way business is run out of the city, and those across the country. There were women and men from all walks of life, from different crews and locations.

"Buenosera, mon ami. Mi chiamo Luca Giordano, I'm visiting from the old country on request of a... valued acquaintance of mine."

He unfastened his jacket and it fell back, revealing a well pressed shirt, carefully placed suspenders and crisp pants.

"I've spent a few hours on your streets, taking in the sights and recording the interactions I've been blessed with, however now seek your insight and experience in a more direct manner."

He spoke with a coarse, dry tone, almost monotone and notably lacking any emotive indications.

"You've joined me today to be involved in the opportunity to articulate any experience, or ambitions, you have to support the building of our businesses into more than just the 'drop-in and mill around' entities that they generally succumb to.

"I know of some innovate attempts at this in previous years, entrepreneurs who saw a better way to make money and took hold of that chance. Gambling rackets, loan sharks, and the like. What I'd like to do today though is get a taste for the appetite in these sorts of endeavors, should we look to set something in motion to this ilk within the capacity of Las Vegas.

"As previously mentioned, your insight and experience into the success of such concepts would be greatly appreciated. Grazie."

Giordano looks to the floor, folding his hands behind his back and standing purposefully.

"It was real nice of you to invite us here Mr. Giordano.  My thanks for callin' me in to join such an illustrious assembly of business men and women.  But, ah,  I'm not too sure I can help you with this particular topic.  See, I'm pretty green when it comes to business.  Real new, you understand?  While I'd like to tell you I have some secret to how things will work out best, I'm still learnin' the ropes and when you're new - well your ambitions tend to be just to make it from one day to the next.  My daddy always told me never to claim you had some understand of things you knew little about... I figure he was right about that bein' wise advice, if not much else he ever said."  She smirked and began fishing around in her pocket for a moment before pulling out a match.  Absently she began to fiddle with it.

"I'm bettin' you have all sorts of folks who can give you advice on business, particularly here in Vegas; folks with solid vision and know-how to really make a mint.  I'm just wonderin' if there some other reason you wanted to sit down with us?  I don't want to seem forward but I hate wasting time too... so, I'm wondering if you're  lookin' for some sort of investment opportunities?  Cause, if you're sniffin' around for some business pitches - I'm sure a few of us would love to share our ideas on where you can put your sawbucks.  Am I right folks?"  She looked around to the other business people in the room for confirmation that she wasn't the only one wondering this.

"Wise words, 'LuckyLucy' Fazzone, I appreciate you taking the time to come out here and say your piece."

Raising his brow at the investment opportunities comment, a wry smile forms. It wasn't often he met someone that could judge his character so promptly and efficiently.

"Indeed, I am a man of business and I seek to put my money where I know it will work, however my motives are more to drum up interest in those opportunities, not just create them.

"See, my esteemed employer, of long neck fame, has recently developed business opportunities for those with the interest and drive to take them. I'm proud to say I represent an operation with the desire to to manage such... interactive experiences, as it offers our world a variable on what they are currently accustomed to doing with their days.

"Now, regarding where your experience may lack in the ways of this world, I imagine your mind is still as keen and creative as I suspect it is. I believe you still can offer to this discussion, for example, would you be interested in involving yourself in such opportunities, that are driven by us, the community, rather than what is predefined by the limits of our world?"

Lucy thinks about it a moment.  "Sure.  I'd be interested.  So long as my earning money on the side doesn't distract, or detract from what I do for my boss.  I'm a straight shooter as business things go.  Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, as my father would say."

"At the moment my focus has been on a little watering hole a late friend of mine started up before her passing.  I'm sorta a silent operator and have been letting the place take care of itself.  I'm there just to make sure that nothing goes poorly and to learn a bit more about how the financial side of things works... but, to be honest, I do think I could be doing more with it.  I've had a few ideas... nothing too concrete yet but hopefully before the end of the year I'll be workin' things a little more aggressively - again, assuming it doesn't interfere with my other obligations."

"If you don't mind, I would love to reach out to you privately - discuss things at length, when I'm ready to step things up.  What do you say?  Would that be okay?"
