Deja Vu Started by: xMakavelliSw1tchCruz on Aug 02, '17 00:09

It had been less than 24 hours since Makavelli's life had once again been torn apart in an all too familar action. New York was shot up, a lot of good, innocent people were gunned down and he barely managed to get out but not before he took a few shots of his own, it wouldn't bring back his fallen crew members but it was something. As the bullets and bodies continued to fall, Makavelli found himself alone, back at his apartment, he knew if he stayed he would eventually be found and taken out. So he decided it was time to leave and he knew exactly where to go, he just hoped that the apartment was still there and no-one was in it. He quickly redressed, packed up what little belongings he had, with one last look around he let out a sigh and headed out to his car. The quicker he got to his destination the better.

Several hours had past but he had made it. Deja Vu hit him like a truck as he stopped and looked at the sign and bright lights just outside the city.

"LAS VEGAS"

He was back. He hadn't been back since Sw1tch's death several weeks before. It was bittersweet but he knew if Sw1tch was still alive he would support his decision to return and carry on without holding a grudge even if he had every right. He would do exactly that...continue to carry on without holding a grudge and keep building something for himself. With one last glance at the bright lights, he gripped the steering wheel and slammed his foot down on the accelerator and he was off again. His next destination was Summerlin.

In what seemed like no time at all he had arrived in Summerlin. Now he had to find Sw1tch's apartment. He never understood why his twin kept more than one place to live while in Las Vegas, but after the events of New York, he now clearly understood. Only a few minutes had passed when Makavelli found himself down a very familar street and the memories that went with it. It was those memories that nearly caused him to drive straight past the house but with a little more force than necessary, he slammed the brakes on, barely avoiding hitting his own head on the steering wheel. He quickly righted himself and looked out the drivers side window and smiled. The building was there. Now he had to find out if anyone was living inside the apartment. With one last look around the street, it was still dark and quiet enough that he would go unnoticed, for now at least, he got out of the car and headed towards the stairs that lead into the building.

His luck of going unnoticed had continued once inside the building, it appeared everyone was over at The Strip trying their luck. Perfect. He made his way over to a staircase that would lead him to his target several floors up but it didn't bother him, it gave him more time to think and make plans. He didn't know how much time had passed but he finally made it to the correct apartment. Pulling a key from his pocket, holding his breath, he put the key in the keyhole and turned, the sound echoing up and down the hallway. With a small amount of pressure he pushed the door open, ready to deal with who or whatever was inside but to his surprise and relief, no-one was living there as everything was still in the same state as Makavelli remembered it. Great!

He quietly closed the door behind him as he stepped inside. He made his way over to the now lone chair still sitting in the living room, dusting it off before sitting down. He looked down at his watch and sighed. He was here. He was alive. He knew IF he wanted to remain alive longer he would have to find himself a new family. There was plenty of them in Sin City, it was just a matter of finding the right one for him. He still had a few connections here and he hoped one would pay off for him because his life literally depended on it. Another glance at his watch made his decision for him. Despite being sore, tired and the adrenaline wearing off, he pulled himself to stand. He was going out to find himself a family...

Before it was too late.

It took awhile but his search and connections had finally paid off for him. After several conversations and jobs/tests that had him all over Las Vegas, Makavelli had found himself a new family based in Summerlin. He was now apart of "The Long Neck Gang" lead by none other than THE LarryLongNeck himself! Amazing. Now with a new family and hopefully life, he found himself wandering around The Strip, the bright lights and noise oddly enough making him calmer as he lost himself in them and his thoughts. He could understand why so many people came here to risk everything just for a shot at something better. Could see what kept Sw1tch here for so long.

Deciding to celebrate, he headed deep into The Strip. Several drinks later and some money gambled away, Makavelli decided it was time, even though he stopped keeping track of it hours ago, to head back to HIS apartment. He still hoped no-one was around as he didn't feel like explaining himself and what had happened back in Brooklyn just yet. His body and mind needed a few hours, then he might tell whoever asked, he wasn't sure.

He left the bright lights and sounds of The Strip in his rear view as he headed back to Summerlin.

Tomorrow his new life would truly begin and he was going to make the most of it while he still could.
