Title is pretty self explanatory. Theres an achievement for about every other aspect of the game other than posting. Some off the top examples: First street post (etc etc) X amount of posts X amount of created threads X amount of VIP points X amount of tips received (number of tippers or dollar amount) It just came to me while I was waiting for my petty timer. No huge impact although I can't say I can name any negatives. |

Spam is the main negative I've seen whenever this has been suggested. |

Overlooked the one obvious downside. I'd like to think spam is dealt with as much as it possibly could be. Perhaps it's too much trouble than it's worth, however. |

In my opinion (which, obviously, only matters to me) 80% of the stuff posted in the streets and biz districts are spam. If there were punishments for these types of posts, I'd be all for some sort of reward like this. |

Though I don't see any obvious need for this, I also don't see why not, either. Yes, it might encourage an increase of less than desirable content, however we have people in place to moderate the forums and keep things on topic. I don't believe it is necessary though as, if the Durden VIP mapping does not drive the desired activity, then why would achievements. I think I'm on the fence, I don't mind either way. |

I've always been on the fence about this, mostly for reasons already stated. People will post more, that's almost not even in question, but as has been brought up...is this necessarily a good thing? There's a fine line when it comes to the Job(s) of HelpDesk/Street Sweepers - just because something is poorly written or isn't very long, doesn't necessarily mean its spam - and I fear this is just what we'd see, posts/threads galore that aren't blatant spam, but may as well be. That having been said, I'm definitely not opposed to working in the Tips somehow to Achievements, both sent and received, I feel there's something there. |
