STORY TIME:

When I first came to these shores I joined a group in Philly. I watched as Black Betty rose to become one of the greatest God mothers I have ever witnessed. 
I stood beside my CL, Weebl/Bob, and watched our small crew in Bella Vista grow into something magical. Even though PH eventually died in the Great War, I kept in contact with all my friends from those days. Scattered as we were, eventually we made it to New York and re-found all of each other. It was truly a city-wide family.  H-chat was always so lively and people were genuinely happy. I... was happy.

The death of New York is a sad thing. When a Greater power forces friends and families to fight and kill one other due to paranoia... it's not only sad but it's pitiful.

I may not have been a great gun, nor the most active member. Hell, I may have not even been the best forum poster, or LHM... but I am loyal to my friends. Those friends that have been with us since the beginning. I thought we all were friends.

I guess not.

Polaris was my first attempt at really being able to start a crew from scratch. And I was proud of what we accomplished. I was proud of what we did, and how we united the city into something more. From Polaris, to Gato to Surgeon, to the Zoo... I was proud of what we were, and what we stood for. I loved us.

To wake up to all my friends being dead, after just hours before we discussed plans for upcoming events and fun activities... it's a bit saddening. It's also Ironic, that it takes something like this for me to realize the strength in Voodoo's words. That friends are the most important thing in this game... 

Maybe I should've stood up for him. Maybe I should've fought for NY back then.

It might be too late now, but at least I'll join my friends once more.

And to those that lost their lives today. I'm sorry I was around to help... I would've taken a bullet for any one of you.
