Remembering The Ivory Tower
The scruffiest of the Diamond Dogs
The constellation CORVUS represents the crow or raven who was given a chalice by Apollo and sent to collect the waters of life. Instead of flying straight to his task, the bird spent many days waiting around for the fruit of a fig tree to ripen before eating it. When he did eventually return to his master, he excused his tardiness by claiming that a watersnake had delayed him. Apollo was so annoyed that he cursed the wretched bird with eternal thirst and threw him into the heavens.

"Sobriety. What a crock of shit. Who could stand such noise. The sounds of, well, every fuckin' thing. Whisky, man's best friend. A way to block it all out. The world of smiles. Let that ugliness fuck right off by handing me a bottle of whatever burns the most and a pack of lucky strikes.
Because who could say they truly had character if they couldn't remember the last time their knuckles bled on a mirror for the sake of trying to beat the soul out of the reflection. Or who could say they were truly living life if they hadn't recently woken up in a gutter somewhere, nine-tenths dead from overindulgence, stinking of whores and hooch.
Yeah. You're right. That does sound like a good fuckin' time. So join me. Pour us both a glass. Actually, fuck that. Pour me both then move the fuck on princess. There's only one seat on this runaway train to vengeance and it's got my filth all over it.
One ticket to hell, please..."

The unreal is more powerful than the real. Because nothing is as perfect as you can imagine it. Because its only intangible ideas, concepts, beliefs, fantasies that last.
Stone crumbles. Wood rots. People, well, they die.
But things as fragile as a thought, a dream, a legend, they can go on and on. If you can change the way people think. The way they see themselves. The way they see the world. You can change the way people live their lives.
That's the only lasting thing you can create.
