Born John Harrington Kendrick, 13th October 1895 in Lower East Side, Manhattan, NY. John was second generation American-Italian, living up in a flat that was only meant for 4 per floor but instead, hosted 12. Nickname of Bigsby came from his four other brothers, and two sisters due to being taller than the rest of them and almost twice as broad.
