Gregorio "Moose" Sangrazzi

Moose was born in Sicily before moving with his parents to America when he was but a small child.  Not having any memory of the homeland, as his parents wanted, unaware of any of the problems his family had faced in the homeland.  Moose grew up smart and quick, but when he was only 12 years old his mother had gotten sick and died. Stricken with grief his father became drunken, angry mess, blaming the world for his wife's unfortunate passing, leaving Moose to take care of his 4 year old brother. Moose soon realized that, if his father was going to keep drinking away his pay check at the docks, he was going to have to figure out a way to feed himself and his brother.  This led Gregorio to fall in with the local gangsters in his neighborhood, just a bunch of mooks mugging old ladies and sticking up petrol stations.  Moose knew he was much smarter than the hoods he was with, but he really didn't have many other options. Moose stayed eight years with this outfit before the in-fighting became an all out battle for power. Not wanting any of them to suspect him of anything, Moose left before blood was spilled and he was next.  By this time his father had drank himself to death a year prior and Moose's only concern was his brother. So he and his best friend Luca Pizzinicci planned a score to give them both enough scratch to get out of dodge and start their new lives.  Unfortunately, for the two of them someone tipped off the leader of their outfit to the plan, as Moose was at work on the safe he felt cold steel on the back of his head "Thought you could pull a fast one on the boss did you? Here's the deal, you're gonna open that safe, I'm gonna take what's in it, and I might just let you two Stunads live, capiche?"  A defeated Moose reluctantly opened the safe revealing his freedom, only to be put in the bag of the same reason he needed it, after collecting the cash, the hit-man put a bullet in the head of Luca, leaving immediately after.  Stunned by the sight, Moose sat and watched his freedom, and friend leave his grasp in the same second.  Gregorio, no longer able to go back to his old crew, had to venture to new horizons, forcing him to leave his twelve year old brother in the care of a close associate not connected to the gang, promising him he'd come back for him. Moose then moved to New York where he offered his criminal experience freelance for anybody with good money and bad intentions, when he eventually caught the eye of associates of Christian Black, a man much smarter and connected than the dumb street rats Moose worked for before.  After making a good impression, he was accepted among the big mans ranks and has been making good money since
