Servant of Mobster Mansion The young looking man straightens his tie, running two fingers along the brim of his hat with a sigh and looking out over his new home. He sits on a box at the edge of an alley overlooking the waterfront as he smokes a cigarette. The moon reflects light onto the gently lapping waves as they eat away at the rotting wood of the dockyards. Out of the corner of his eye he see's a bum watching him from his little shanty. "what the fuck are you looking at" the man says with a soft New Orleans drawl. "Aw fuck it. Ya know what, this world we live in. Its bleak, Depressing and twisted. I love it. I crave it. and I don't exactly know why, but my family keeps moving back to these shores and trying to scrabble out a meager existence with their meager shops selling their pathetic goods." The man stops and chuckles, looking at the bum who is looking both confused and concerned. which in itself was funny, coming from someone like him. "I understand it though, they make just enough money to get by because it makes them feel like their lives are worth something. Hell, maybe I'll open up a shop sell some little nick knacks and paddy wacks. At the end of the day, I make more money shaking down a shitty dealer and checking in on the shops that owe money to the boss, than my my parents, or even their parents will ever make. That is the life i live, and i am fine with it." The tall man reaches and stuffs $200 into the pack of smoke he had in his breast pocket and holds them out to the bum with a kind smile. "take it. you probably wont see me again, but i appreciate you listening to me ramble sir. Have a good evening." Patting the bums hand, BD strolls away into the foggy Chicago morning.
I'm NOT a threat to you. I'm here for the money and the role play. I'm a nobody, simply here to do nobody things and things a nobody would be doing. |
