I know you don't like it but rank means very little in this game anymore. I had more power as a thug the day after Geralt died than you ever did as a GF, and that's not a boast, I'm trying to explain it to you. Your account stats or rank means shit compared to your relationships and political acumen, and I know you're very against that but that's the way it is. Hence why we tried not to involve you in that side of things when possible.
