1. Writing an email to someone and they email you back and spell your name wrong
I literally just wrote you an entire email that I then signed with my name. It said my name at the end. And my name is in my email. And you follow me on twitter. I don’t understand why you just addressed your reply to “Laura” or “Lauren.” Did you even read my email? Are you doing it on purpose? Is that you trying to be funny?
2. iPhone charger improvements
Right, Apple. So you came out with these “improvements” with the iPhone 5, etc.. But my charger? Yeah, it still doesn't reach my bed from the outlet. It’s still only about 5 inches long. I still have to maneuver my stomach half off the bed to see the SnapChat I just received. C’mon.
3. Starbucks changing the size names and then getting upset when you don't remember them
You can’t get discouraged with people who don’t remember the names you decided to change the drink sizes to. We've known them as small, medium, and large for basically our entire lives. Then you come in here with your talls and grandes and we sometimes get confused. So if I say small, you know I mean tall, please hold back judgment.
4. Spending so much time learning cursive
Remember when you spent MOST of your 5th grade year learning how to write in cursive? I do. And for what? Signing checks to pay my rent while silent tears flow down my face? We should've spent more time learning about the Trail of Tears of World War 1, and II and maybe the Cold War even. All of the above, and more. Not cursive.
5. Bragging about how much you drank
I don't understand why it’s cool to be extremely dehydrated and feel as if you’re on the verge of death. I'll never understand why someone drinking 14 beers to my one somehow makes them cooler than me. And I'll never understand people that tell me; “You’ll learn to like the taste.” I don't know, I feel like I won’t.
6. Chipotle charging $1.50 EXTRA for guacamole
Look, I know avocados are expensive. But $1.50?! That seems a bit extreme. Can we compromise at 50 cents if I promise to eat there more often? I would now be able to afford to.
7. Wearing shoes that you can’t walk in
If your shoes are hurting your feet, why are you wearing them? Why did you wear them to the mall if you knew you would be walking a lot? Why did you wear them to work? Why are you torturing yourself? I get it, beauty is pain or whatever. But why not just wear shoes that you can walk in?
8. Leaving anonymous comments online
Disagreeing with people is fine. It’s human nature. We’re never, ever all going to share the same opinions. But leaving an anonymous comment on someone’s work about how stupid they are doesn’t make the author stupid. It makes you look stupid. You can't fix yourself by breaking someone else. If you have something constructive to say, then say it. Otherwise, move on accept that we're all different with different opinions and viewpoints.
9. Taking Babies to Disney World
This doesn't make sense to me for the following reasons:
- Disney World is really expensive and your baby isn't going to remember it.
- Babies can't talk so he or she won't even be able to vocalize their appreciation.
- The baby probably doesn't have appreciation because it slept the whole time.
If you want to go to Disney World with your partner but you have a baby, I would even be willing to babysit for you. I really would. Because crying babies that need fed every 2 hours should never interrupt Disney World. When they're five? Introduce them to Mickey Mouse.
10. Etsy Projects
I love creativity. Seriously. And I want to give props to all of these artists for putting themselves out there. But these? I just don't get it.
