I am asking that everyone boycott tonight's fight. As announced last week it is supposed to be "Kobayashi versus Gaara. I am asking that no one show up. We may be little people on the street as compared to the Cathy_Parks of the world, but we should still be treated with respect and dignity. I am not one to show private correspondence in the street, however today it is imperative. The letters start out with a simple request To: Cathy_Parks From: -canine- Subject: how much are tickets to the fights tonight? Her response surprised me. I was thinking a couple hundred so that those of us that weren't born with money could attend. I was totally wrong. To: -canine- From: Cathy_Parks Subject: how much Just waiting for my business Partner Frank_Butcher to discuss the matter with him. And then we'll be advertising for the event. I'm thinking it'll probably be about $5000 though. $5000? That is outrageous so I sent her my response suggesting that the tickets were too pricey To: Cathy_Parks From: -canine- Subject: how much Damn that is a lot for a guy who is very poor. I did enjoy the fights last week, though. I guess I will have to work my ass off to get up the cash. God, I hate working. She taunted me with her reply. To: -canine- From: Cathy_Parks Subject: how much I don't know which people you're dealing with, but I make $5000 every time I breathe. So I let her know how it really was on the street. To: Cathy_Parks From: -canine- Subject: how much of course you do. every time someone in your family does anything you get a cut. When I try to do something I get a cut too, usually across the throat. That is just the reality of it. So anyways I bust my ass all day and I came up with money for the ticket. To: Cathy_Parks From: -canine- Sent: Dec 29, '07 13:32 Subject: Saturday night fights ticket After a long and arduous day of working I was able to make enough money to attend the fights tonight One ticket please Dec 29, '07 13:31 Your accountant has made payment of $5,000 to Cathy_Parks. I haven't heard from her since. No "hey here's your ticket" or a "Thanks you can pick up your ticket at the box office" Not a damn word for her. As she said she must have breathed and inhaled my 5K. So I ask what is $5000 to Cathy_Parks. Not a fucking thing. What is it for me? It was a damn fortune. Being the holiday season, I decided to treat myself with a night on the town. And now thanks to Ms. Parks that is ruined. So I ask again that you all boycott Saturday Night Fights tonight and let those with the money and power know that they can not walk on us. Thanks, I appreciate you all helping send this message. |

Cathy Parks walks into the Streets having received a message from one of her bag boys about a man raving on the Streets. Her curiosity piqued, the woman had managed to catch most of Canine's speech about the tickets for the fight. "Forgive me for speaking before anyone else but: "To: -canine- From: Cathy_Parks Subject: how much Just waiting for my business Partner Frank_Butcher to discuss the matter with him. And then we'll be advertising for the event. I'm thinking it'll probably be about $5000 though. "I didn't ask you to send me the money for the ticket and had not confirmed the prices at. I said I was waiting for my business partner so I could discuss this with him. Therefore Signore, you quite patently have jumped the gun. "I received a note from my accountant explaining that I had a transfer of funds into my accountant earlier this afternoon - however I made the decision to not send the tickets until the definite pricing had been set and so I could refund any money if the tickets were been less than the sum previously discussed. "Should you have sent a telegram asking why this had not been sent, I would have duly replied reiterating the first thing I said to you when you first enquired about the fight - that the prices for tickets had not been confirmed." "Feel free to boycott the event, but by coming here Signore, you have actually given Saturday Night Fights some well needed publicity. "I must thank you for that." |

With a single eyebrow raised, Fisk tilts his head and looks Signore Canine up and down for a brief second "My friend it is not my business as to how much Miss Parks charges for her own hosted event nor is it mine as to the nature of your dealings, however word on the street is you are a reputable WiseGuy within the local mob" Removing his hat for a second to straighten the edge, Fisk looks back up and smiles "Your words may have more impact though signore if you said them as but a simple citizen, for though I know when to keep my mouth shut, I am also not stupid, nor are many of the community..." Replaces his hat and tips it "A good day to you never the less though my friend" |

Forgive me if I appeared hasty. I am not much of a business man, but it would appear to me that the logistics of the fight would have been worked out by now as bell time is just hours away. One can assume the conversation with Mr. Butcher had already occured. You quit talking to me asfter I sent the cash How a bout a little note that said "Thanks but the ticket price still has not been set. if we go lower, I will refund the extra money. If ticket prices rise, I will let you know so that you can do a last minute job to pick up the extra cash" It would have cleared up a lot of misconceptions. |

| I would have paid the five thousand bucks even if I wasn't sure that I'd be in town on fight night. Then again, Five 'k' isn't a big deal to me, what with me not being in crippling debt to various loan sharks. | |

-canine-, This is wildly inappropriate. I fail to see any imperative reason why you are revealing private correspondence, considering that you are questioning Ms. Park's exemplary character over a question of $5,000 dollars. To be sure, $5,000 is a lot of money to the average man. But we are not supposed to be average men or women. You are a wise guy in the country's biggest crime syndicate; act like one. If you have problems acquiring and holding onto such a relatively small amount of money, please keep this within the family. We will help you, that is why we're here. If you had wished to attend this fight and were short on cash for whatever reason, I, for one, would have been happy to help you. Ms. Parks, I appreciate the effort that you are putting in by providing this fight for everyone's viewing pleasure. |

"Actually Signore Canine, you forget that you had not sent me a telegram for a considerable amount of time. Therefore the 'conversation' which you allude to was no longer taking place. I did however receive your note regarding the wire of the money into the Red Fez account. At that exact time, I was engaged in some business which meant that I had a decision to make. "I could have taken the time out from my business to send you a letter along with the ticket, and then if the prices were different send another letter with your refunded money. Or I could do the logical thing, which was to wait until I had all information and then send along the ticket with the refunded money. "The latter requires the least amount of time to do, and I'm sure you understand that someone such as myself has to make sure that all of her actions are efficient and succinct. "And I would have hoped that you'd have realised that there is no way that I could possibly run something like Saturday Night Fight alone, it is in large Signore Butcher's main responsibility. He contacts me with details when we're both in Philadelphia, however I have not heard from him for the past few days. Hence why I was unable to confirm the prices. "However, as I stand here right now, I can say that I do wish I'd taken the longer route and sent the fucking ticket and the refund seperately, because then I wouldn't be standing here talking when I have pressing matters to attend to." |

*-canine- walks out of his HQ and into the street* *His ass still burning from the fire that was lit under it* Ms Parks, It does appear I was somewhat hasty in addressing you in the manner in which I did. Although no disrespect was intended, after being told how I sounded, I can see where others might think there was. You are an outstanding leader in our community, one whose reputation is without stain. I was out of place to criticize you in the manner that I did. In the future, I will be more careful of what I say. |

"I would also like to remind you, that though I do try my hardest to respond to all letters and telegrams as fast as possible, sometimes I am in business meetings and it is not within my power to do so any quicker. Words without action are basically meaningless. To show you my sincerity, Please keep my money. Allow me to clean the trash from the stadium after the fights are over. Sometimes the best lessons learned are of humility. |

| Cathy turns hearing the gentleman speak at her back, she gestures to one of her bag boys and gives him a note to pass to -canine-. The young lad runs over and passes on the message as Cathy gets in a car and speeds off. | |

A young boy runs up to me in the streets and hands me a note. I open the letter as the messenger runs off and inside I find a VIP ticket to the Boxing Fight along with my $5000 in cash returned. Somewhat embarrassed I had to admit to myself that I had misjudged her. |

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence whatever that it is not utterly absurd" I find it fascinating the response from people when private messages are posted. I ran into the same thing recently. I was asked/invited into a IRC room to rectify a dispute... Certainly ruffled some feathers merely showing up...I called was a CUNT, hooker etc.... My point here is...A "Made Man' made those statements in public after she had someone shoot at me.. :) You want respect...earn it...Im too take it seriously the title of "Man Man"? Rank means nothing sometimes...the popular view is rubbish most of the time and quite clique' Bottom line our streets these days are not the same as our ancestors walked, back then I would have never posted something publicly such as a WS..In this case it was blantant disrepect as I had the whole conversation sent to me leading up to the attempt. This particular "Made Man" could have cared less for they're family by they're action or theyre mouth. Just as back in the day that 'Made Man' wouldnt have lived for 5 minutes after making the comments publicly. Different rules apply when you look at it as a whole. They do hate it when the rest of this small world see's there true colors however |

Elaina stands next to Emilee- listening to the various things being said, then when people quieted down somewhat, she looked at Wisteria with one eyebrow raised Excuse me, ma'am, are you talking about a coffeeshop conversation? I was under the impression that those places have no standing in our streets and if they did, I believe you just showed a double standard by repeating what you claim was said here and admitting going by something copied to you. I'd suggest for all involve, this part of the conversation which has nothing to do with the topic to begin with should end. |
