Asking for a little help | Started by: WiggleButt on Sep 03, '17 00:45 |
Some of you know me, some of you may not. I have been around this community since 2003, have had some amazing memories and made some friends that ill always have in my life. I come to everyone today to inform them that my daughter has been diagnosed with a rare condition called prolactinoma. Its a tumor behind her eyes on the brain which causes hormonal issues by realeasing the hormone prolactin in large amounts. It may or may not be cancerous however her first MRI revealed its touching her eye nerve which complicates things. Instead of doing an immediate prochedure they have taken the route of high medication along with constant blood work with MRI's to be scheduled to monitor growth. We have to take her to a hormone specialist as well to attempt to balance them. As you can imagine its costing a small fortune even with insurance. Im working with izzy in how to go about doing this as my pride has been put to the side to ask for help. I have created a gofundme page and within an hour of it being up money started coming in. Im hesitant to post the link but im deciding on whether to go through scott for anyone who wants to assist and he donate directly or whether I just use this thread to throw it up. Over the years ive seen our community pull together in hard times so I figured it would be an amazing platform to get it out. I thank you all for your time and if you cant afford anything all I ask for is yours prayers. Thank you MR! |

Just posting an update. My daughter has another MRI scheduled for the 20th to see if the meds are shrinking the tumor so they can do the prochedure thats required to determine whether it is cancerous. The page has raised an amazing $480 and still growing strong! Thanks again everyone! | |

As a friend of the Wiggly one I'd like to thank those who helped out. His daughter is still not out of the woods and they could still use our help. Five, ten, fifteen dollars, every little bit goes toward his daughter's growing medical expenses. It's always warmed my heart when we can come together as a community to help our own. Currently the grand total is $600 of a $2500 goal. If can't help financially yourself you can help out by Tweeting or Facebook sharing the link as well... In case it's been lost in the kurfuffle here it is again: https://www.gofundme.com/4dg87nc Thank you again... The family really appreciates it. |

I have just been given an update on Little Wiggle. The first round of meds proved to have side effects that were too severe to continue so they have started another round of a different medication in hopes of positive results. Unfortunately, if these meds are unsuccessful the doctors will have to perform the surgery to remove the tumour and runs a risk of rendering her blind. I'm not one to ask for positive vibes sent to people, but this little girl needs everything we can send her and so does our dear Wigglebutt. Medical bills are piling up and we can't let him lose hope. I'll keep updates coming as I get them.
Thank you everyone that has helped out so far. It warms my heart to know our community can still come together to help our own. |
