Ultimately TheDean and I both know this is largely filler and bullshit. All it boiled down to was TheDean's fear that he could be killed and Gwarble was the only person capable of doing that. I would preferred him to have just come out and said that, but I guess that isn't his style.

Either way, Gwarble did his fair share of filling in the blanks after a war as it is very easy to do. You can make a fairly reasonable argument for removing anyone. That is how it all works. TheDean omitted the parts where one of his own members tried to frame Gwarble for a wack attempt, which was let slide, where TheDean never asked for any compensation and told Gwarble the matter was "forgotten" regarding his bodyguards, those wars that Gwarble ran which actually got TheDean to the point where he is now, the fact that Gwarble and TheDean discussed Caesar whom he knew full well had been reprimanded for his idiotic outburst and where Gwarble came to his aid when he was almost certainly going to die to Chicago and New Orleans.

One side of the story always makes for better reading.

However, what is done is done. Despite the largely disrespectful summation TheDean has made here for reasons only known to himself, I'm sure Gwarble would have looked forward to seeing what his former ally would do with this opportunity. Perhaps he should have listened to those who warned him of TheDean's paranoia more closely or suspected DonPardo was a lying fleabag. It also seems Gwarble was the only one who meant what he said when he said he wanted to take a backseat and intended to retire when Colin was ready to tackle the Godfather.

The bottom line is that no matter how skilled you are, you can't predict everything. Sometimes you have to give opportunities and hope those you give them to operate at an equal level to you and understand the signficance of their actions. Sadly for Gwarble, that proved not to be the case.

One last thing, you can't fight fate.

Alright, so the basic gist of what I'm getting is... The side that started the war and came out mainly alive, including shipping one of their own off to become GodMother has told one side of the story. Not me, for sure. Every war that's ever happened within this thing of ours has had two sides, and one side always sounds better. It's really up to the individual to decide which *really* happened. Personally, if I was ever in the position to war somebody, and I came out ahead, I wouldn't even bother to try and please you with the details. What goes on in the family, STAYS in the family. Now, I'm not saying that those who come out and tell their side(ie; TheDean, Grin,) aren't keeping it within the family, because I'm sure there's more that went on other than this. They're keeping the peace, and pleasing the public, which occasionally is necessary.
