| Forfeit R Tag - Player Attacking Accounts. | Started by: Clown on Nov 07, '17 18:13 |
|
Hello all! As the subject states, a player account with the R Tag who actively participates by protecting another or taking shots themselves at other player accounts should be stripped of their R Tag and become a viable notch. The reason? Well, rebuild should be protecting these accounts, and I support that. However, when that player account turns the gun on other player accounts, they are going against the rebuild idea and in effect, should have their R Tag stripped.
Thoughts? |

I'm actually all for this If they shoot another player, then they don't want to rebuild that character, so the purpose of rebuild mode still affecting them is pointless. |

| I'm for this as long as they actually took a shot. | |

| Absolutely. I think this is a must, and I just had the same thought 10 minutes ago. | |

Agreed, I am for this. Taking shots should forfeit your R tag, just the same as taking a shot when you are pro'd forfeits your pro. |

So any player that is training a gun becomes a +1? Against, don't forget you guys put the game into R mode. So suck it up. |

It could be edited as much as "anyone with a R tag that shoots at a real player, that is to say, not an NPC, would lose their R tag." Would this slight edit make you more inclined to agree with what is a perfectly reasonable and (in my opinion) much needed suggestion? |

Nowhere did I say just training a gun. Let me be more specific.
PLAYER ACCOUNT v PLAYER ACCOUNT is against the concept of Rebuild Mode. I support the protection of R Tagged members. So, by "training" on Durdens, MIAS, RIAS.. Hell even IA's should be valid. However, when a R Tagged account hits an active account, it should wipe the R Tag as it goes against Rebuild Mode idea. That's my suggestion. I very much welcome your thoughts though, so, thank you for chiming in. |

Fully support this once I have over 100 days and removed most of the player base. I would really hate it if the children of the people I killed came after me or my family for my actions and for me to get no reward for it...I would be disgusted, Fuck make it a +5 to the gun since they went rogue which seems to be really frowned upon. But only when I am 100 days and have removed most of the player base. otherwise against. |

Seems highly hypocritical, Rival . You're hunting people who were friends and supported another regime (DRUS), yet you want protection now for your actions. This is a mere suggestion for a change in policy, not a thread to create argument for what's occurring in the game. This isn't a negotiation thread either for what's occurring in game at the moment. |

I don't think it matters if they are R tagged or not. The only difference it will be is whoever hits the rogue will get a gun stat increase. A simple +1. Having killed a rogue and helping the effort is a good enough reason to kill a rogue imo. No need to get a +1 by dropping the R tag. This change will then uncover the rogue's identity much easier, which takes some of the fun out of trying to uncover who it is. I think maybe the current group of leaders should tackle the whole R tag issue by dealing with why the game is thrown into rebuild mode instead, if they really want the +1 stat boost. It would help the game out much more if it was tackled that way. Not for the idea as it has the potential to hamper gun building and rogueing. I don't personally like to rogue, but some do, and it's a vital part of the game. Making it harder to do seems unfair. |

So we should respect their protection status, regardless of their intent? That doesn't seem reasonable. |

Mmm, though I guess your point is valid, the tag doesn't stop us from killing them, merely negates the +1. Touche. |

And if they were untagged, you'd automatically know it was them who took the shot. :) |

You wouldn't automatically know it was them that took the shot though. We'd have to scroll through every name that pops up in the 60 sec list. So, unless a witness statement was received can you really put someone behind the gun. You make a valid point though, and I appreciate your contribution. Though I don't think Rebuild mode was enacted to provide an additional layer of cover for Rogues hitting active player accounts. |

I believe it would make it easier to do. Some people colour code every player account. I think without a witness statement it would mean you could actually still pinpoint the culprit, if you have tabs on all player movements, which some do. Definitely not in rebuild mode for that reason. I think it's lingering due to sponsorship rates of hitting up job seekers atm. Could be wrong though. Even if not in rebuild mode these guys would still be doing what they are doing. It wouldn't change that I don't think. Some use different game situations to make attacks. Like the Halloween event :) I doubt rebuild mode is why they are rogueing, but it could be a tool for those that may wait for a chance, like after a massive war that cleans house. It adds instability to the game, but that can be fun too. |
