Demand. Desmand. Who gives a shit. While a protection order may be fully justified, this is a bit ridiculous. If you want to give orders out to the entirety of Cosa Nostra, you should: a) be affiliated with a recognized famiglia currently in existence; and b) be a member of that famiglia's upper structure, or at the very least, a made member with the power to speak on behalf of la famiglia.

Don't patronize me, Princeso. Your argument has no weight. First of all, as you acknowledged, the order was restated by someone with the authority to do so. That begs the question, what the fuck are you doing out here blowing hot air? Second of all, my standards are not arbitrary. They are recognized customs of Cosa Nostra, and common sense for anyone with two brain cells to rub together. Quite simply, if you are not part of Cosa Nostra, you have no authority to give orders to anyone. Or do you suppose that you, as an unsponsored wiseguy, have the authority to give me orders?

You are right about one thing - Authority is recognized to the extent it is recognized. Look around you. I do not see much recognition. Take your litter to another avenue and let those in charge do their jobs.

My point exactly. There once were recognized customs. Those customs, among many others, seem to have fallen to the wayside these days. There is no more structure or customs; just look at how long it took to get a simple announcement about a new family or godfather! And even then, CLs are giving their own auth speeches where it was once the job of the Don that was giving them the authority to set up. Even still we see family's setting up without an announcement.

The customs of this thing of ours have all but disappeared from this world and new members are not being taught or handed down these very simple unwritten rules. But that's a discussion for another street corner I think.
