What about time limits on hits?Maybe a hit stays on the hit list for just two weeks, unless it is completed before that point. The person purchasing the contract takes the risk of losing their money because the public might not WANT to fill the hit. It's how we, as a community of gamers, can say "This hit is bullshit and we don't like it." This means that no hit goes on forever and players have the power to say "No dude. We're not doing your dirty work for you." |

Squishy - I see your point on that I guess. I was just thinking that dead is dead and multiple hits only hurt the community - it doesn't make the person any deader? lol But my timer idea... maybe that works better? |

" It's how we, as a community of gamers, can say "This hit is bullshit and we don't like it." Can't an ignored hit for 2 weeks also represent 'I do not have the gun... YET... to hit, but I may soon' or 'I do not have the proper motivation at this dollar amount, maybe if a 2nd hit is placed' OR 'This crewleader hasnt fucked up enough, but first legit fuckup we can use that as an excuse to remove them' I don't think timing out a hit solves things. |

A hit that never ends (even if no one wants to do it) does seem the other extreme though. Well, that's all the ideas I have for now. I just wanted to put forward some solutions and not just shoot down people's ideas. Sorry I don't apparently have the fix to this one. |

Aye, neither do I. We've modified the hitlist a few times to make it more fair as we've found better ways but I think we reached a dead end, at the end of the day any future changes need to consider the negative effects of preventing using the hitlist for good. The hit list *SHOULD* be used to kill people. The hitlist *SHOULD* be used to give pause anytime someone pulls the trigger to kill another account that there are possible consequences from friends/family/next of kin of the person you just shot. Sometimes those hits need to get big to motivate people to take the risky shot. I cant really think of additional ways to prune the bad hits while promoting the good hits :/ |

The only thing I would change is the 25% increase for the person buying off the hit. It would seem to me that the 25% extra for it to be anonymous should only be paid by the person who wishes to be anonymous. I don't see why the person paying the hit off would be responsible to match that fee. |

Until recently, you had to pay 2x the entire hitlist to remove it. We lowered it to matching it rather than doubling it. If you want to lower it even more, we can work out a counterbalance, like tyler hits twice as often or at a much better success rate. |

1. Don't screw up to get yourself on the hitlist. 2. Nothing you can do about someone with a credit card. Some will always have a deeper pocket to reach into. 3. This is a mafia-oriented role-playing game. People die. Sometimes fairly, sometimes unfairly. Get used to it? I know this isn't constructive whatsoever but I feel it should be mentioned. Also, I should mention I have no opinion towards the current targets on the list. Just sayin'. |

Ok I didn't know it used to be 2X the amount. It's not so bad the way it is tbh. I was just surprised at the additional 25% when I went to pay it off. Tbh i don't see an effective solution to the problem presented. Doing away with hitlisting altogether just isn't an option. I was one of the one's on the hitlist, still am actuallly and it's not that bad. More annoying than anything. |

Not sure who this is directed at but iv never had an issue with dying. Nonthless good to know you are a good sport about dying, will keep that in mind.
So I am to hesitate on killing ppl because they friend might hitlist me? Or I let them live build up and shoot me.
There is a lot that can be done lol. -Cooldown on hits after a max hit has been placed on you.(and you paid off) - upkeep fee if the hit is up longer than 24 hours - if lister is killed hit is removed |

I think the hitlist is as balanced as it can be. You can never stop credit card swiping, as what is the primary motivation for someone to do your dirty work? You guessed it. Only way to stop that is to remove credits from the game, but that is ridiculous. In my opinion, either the hitlist stays, or it gets replaced by something that ultimately serves for the same points previously pointed out by Squishy. |
