I don't mind at all, I guess I could take a moment from work, 

Danny takes a seat pouring himself a glass, bringing it up to his lips taking a long sip savouring the flavour, before placing the glass back down on the table

so what brings you to this part of Detroit?

Sam Carollo walks in and spots Girl sitting at the table. He walks over and lights up her cigarette before sitting down. "Nice place doll. Tell me you got some wine on the way? Sorry I am late, business you know." Sam grins. He pull out his own pack and lights up another one. "So how ya been Girl, havent had a chance to catch up lately. Business good?"

The girl in the red dress promptly lit her cigarette, placing the package next to Danny, as if she was implying for him to have one.  She takes a small drag before placing it on one of the ashtrays that were provided by the restaurant. "well, i just had some unfinished business to attend to. I don't want to bore you with all the details, it really wasn't interesting at all."

She was lying, the business that she had come for was actually interesting, although not to normal society, and wouldn't bore the type of clientele this restaurant was famed for. She grabbed the bottle, poured herself a small glass of the red wine and placed the bottle back where it was originally. As she smelt the Glorious aroma rise from the glass, she allowed her mind to wander slightly. She began to think about that poor man who let her into his home with the hope of getting to know her more personally, and how he shouldn't of allowed her five minutes in the bathroom to slip into something more"comfortable". "So, you recommend the Marsala? I must admit in not a fan of spicy cooking."

It was at this moment when her boss, Sam "silver dollar" Carollo had interrupted their conversation. "Hey honey, how has your day been? Oh no you see, the manager gave us a free bottle, isn't that great?"

Danny stands up respectfully retiring the seat to Mr. Carollo kindly declining the cigarette he smiles at the couple.

The chicken Marsala isn't spicy, its the sauce its actually quite good. If you want I can have the chef prepare a sample for you to try. I can assure you, that you'll fall in love with it. But in the end it is up to you hun.

She takes another pull of her cigarette, blowing the smoke in the oppisite direction of Danny, and flicks it to get rid of the excess ash which clung to the burning embers at the end. She opens the menuand stares at the starters for a few moments. "And could i have the Sicilian salad for starters. what are you having hun?"

She takes a small sip of the fruity red wine.

Mercury and her associates had just finished a long day planning and executing a plan to eliminate a rival who was stepping on their turf. He had fled to Detroit. With a few phone calls and a couple flights, Mercury caught up with this prick. She didn't take kindly to the man's intrusion onto her turf in LA. She decided to take care of him herself. She put a bullet into his head and left him lying there for her associates to handle.

Killing always made Mercury hungry, and not just for another kill. She was famished. She grabbed Katarina by the arm and dragged her away from the scene.

I'm hungry. Think we can find a decent restaurant around here? she said to Katarina.

Lets take a drive and see, she said while holding the car door for Mercury.

Mercury got in and they cruised the neighborhood. Finding nothing in this dreary section of town, they headed into the heart of the city. Just when they thought they were wasting their time, Katarina spotted something promising. T

They parked across the street , walked across and entered through the revolving door. The marble fountain they were greeted with was beautiful. This place had class. Mercury smiled as a lady asked if she could take her coat and politely declined. She never let anything of hers out of her sight. They were promptly taken to a table and given menus. The waitress asked what they would like to drink. They reviewed what was available.

When the waitress returned with the wine, Katarina ordered an Antipasta Italiano for them to share. They were in no hurry now that they had caught up with the turf raider and eliminated him. They chatted amongst themselves and sipped their wine. Mercury was on edge about various events happening in LA and discussed it with Katarina. She knew this woman would repeat nothing and was the perfect sounding board. The antipasta arrived and Katarina placed the rest of their order.She ordered the Veal parmigiana for Mercury and the Chicekn Marsala for herself. The food was excellent. When they had finished, they shared a Tiramisu before paying their bill, tipping the waitress handsomely, and heading back into the streets of Detroit. This place had turned out to be quite a find. Both were sure they would be returning. For now, the two of them headed to the hotel for the evening.

Hearing that there was a fantastic restaurant right here in Motor City, Jack's own home town, he makes sure that he call at the establishment when he's in town next.

Sweeney and MysticTailor arrived at the resturant around sunset. Sweeney opens the door and holds it open to let Mystic go in first. He enters and takes off his hat. Putting on the coat rack in the corner of the room, he helps take of Mystic's coat and places it on the rack. He guides her to a booth away from the others. Sitting down on each side of the booth, Sweeney places his hands on the table and waits for a waiter to come take their order.

So, how are you doing Mystic? It's quite a lovely atmosphere we are at, isn't it? Love these kind of places, brings the culture to life to this city. It's a great thing, they should do this a lot more everywhere.

Mystic looks for a waiter and wave on him. He looks at the Menu, flipping the pages back and fort and decided.

"You should take your order too and we will be talk something important after we eat."

Jelena was in a dilapidated area of Detroit.She just arranged for teh sale of a large quantity of Cocaine in a nearby building which resembled a shanty. She had sample the coke herself and was wired. Time seemed to be dissipating as she walked back to her vehicle. She wasn't sure how but she found herself in front of a revolving door. She looked up at the sign.

Jelena went through the revolving door and was taken aback. In the heart of this run-down neighborhood she had stumbled upon what appeared to be a five star Italian restaurant. Why is was in this neighborhood she did not know. The marble fountain in front of her was exquisite. Jelena walked up to the hostess and was swiftly seated.

 The Hostess handed Jelena a menu stating a waitress would be with her momentarily. Jelena took a moment to look over the drink menu. She would order one while she waited.

Jelena had a hard time making a selection. She loved Italian food and there were so many choices! The waitress returned with her wine. Jelena sampled it and nodded that it was fine. She the addressed her.

I'd like an order of Brushcetta. I'm in no hurry. I will order when the Bruschetta arrives.

The waitress made a note and headed to the kitchen to place the order. Ten minutes later she returned with the Bruschetta. Jelena went ahead and placed her order.

Well that was quick, Jelena said to her. I'd like the veal parmigiana with a side of spaghetti with marinara sauce. For dessert I will have the Classic Tiramisu but could you make that to go?

Again, the waitress made notes and went off to turn the order in. A server stopped by and refilled Jelena's wine glass. Jelena was impressed with her dinner when it arrived. It was one of the best parmigiana's she had had. She paid the waitress and gave her a handsome tip. She would be returning, that much she knew. Jelena left the restaurant and headed back into the streets of Detroit. She hailed a cab and directed the driver to take her to the Book-Cadillac Hotel. She had a suite reserved there and she best get there before it is given to someone else.

Warped was absolutely STARVING! She has a job to do and needed to scope out the neighborhood first. She looked up Corktown on a map and got herself semifamiliar with the layout. She would need to be able to get away in a hurry. She made a mental not to steal a car from one of the dealerships. Food MUST come first. She headed out into the streets of Detroit. Before long, she found herself on the wrong side of the tracks in a run down area of town. She began exploring the neighborhood on foot and found herself in front of a revolving door. She looked up at the sign.

What an odd place for an Italian restaurant, Warped thought to herself. She was still famished so she went inside. The elegance of the place caught her off guard. Her first thought was this place must be a front. Who would put such a fine restaurant in this decrepit area for any other reason? Warped walked up the the Hostess and was promptly taken to a table and give a menu. A waitress appeared. Warped quickly glanced at the beverages available,

When the waitress returned with her drink, Warped ordered the Caponata and the Chicken Marsala. While she waited on her order, Warped sipped her drink and reread the note that was in the package she had gotten. The targets name was Clarette and she worked at The Corktown Cathouse . This broad was no doubt one of the whores there which meant this was surely a business owned by a mobster. Warped thought she should have asked for more money. This could get dangerous if the proprietor got wind of their intentions. She needed a man she could send in there to request this woman. Maybe the guy she had met at the Hotel would work. She would have a word with him.

The Caponata arrived and Warped tucked the note away. She spent an hour drinking Scotch and enjoying her meal. It was fabulous!. When she finished, she tipped the waitress generously and went back into the streets to locate this Cathouse.

After stopping by The Corktown Cathouse, Warped needed a drink! After wandering the streets aimlessly, she found herself at the bar in an establishment she had been to a few times before, the L'Esperienza Di Detroit Restaurant. When she snapped out of her reflections, she realized she was looking at the drinks menu. She signaled for the bartender and ordered a double Scotch on the rocks. The first one went down fast! Warped held her glass in the air and signaled for another one. When the bartender raised his eyebrow, Warped snapped.

Just get me the damn thing! she exclaimed. Who was this asshole to eye her for asking after another drink? Fuck him! She didn't need this shit, least of all from a bartender! The fire in her eyes motivated the bartender. He quickly got her another and told her it was on the house. Warped drank this one slower. She decided she better eat something or she was going to get drunk fast. She picked up the menu and reviewed the appetizers.

Warped called the waiter back over.

I'll have an order of Italian Stuffed Mushrooms for now. I might want dinner later, she told him. She watched as he went to turn her order into the kitchen. Warped needed to make some decisions. Her family was growing and things were getting busier and busier. Her work was expanding to the east coast as well. Hopefully she could get a plane to New York yet tonight. That was the plan, anyway. Within minutes her mushrooms arrived. Warped's glass was nearly empty. The bartender quickly brought her another before she could even ask for it. The mushrooms were good but not great. Maybe it was her mood. It could be nothing would live up to her standards tonight. Warped finished her mushrooms, left a C-Note on the bar and went to the Hostess. While the mushrooms seemed average, she was going to have to eat a real meal before the flight. She was promptly seated. A waitress came over and asked her what she would like to drink. She ordered an iced tea and reviewed the menu while the waitress went for it.

When the waitress returned, Warped ordered the Tortellini Alfredo. She sipped her tea and looked around at the patrons. There were a few mafioso scattered amongst the guests but it appeared the majority of them were locals out for an evening. She noticed that one of the mafioso was looking her way and she nodded. She always thought it best that she let them know she had caught them when this happened. The man tipped his hat and went back to his meal. The Tortellini Alfredo arrived. This also tasted bland to her. She would return on a better night. She finished the lack luster meal, left another C-Note on the table and went on her way. Outside, Warped hailed a cab and instructed him to take her to the airport. It was time to visit the east coast.

FUCK! They were everywhere! Oppression was sure she wasn't going to find a safe house in Detroit anywhere. The address she had been given was boarded up! She needed a drink! This was fucking nuts! Oppression Noticed an Italian restaurant up the street


L'Esperienza Di Detroit Restaurant

 

Oppression ducked into it and looked around. She realized she wasn't dressed for a place like this but FUCK IT! She went to the bar and ordered a whiskey straight up. She got her drink, slammed it, and ordered another while asking for a menu. The bartender tossed the menu down in front of her and stayed close. He appeared to be an old hand at this. He knew Oppressed would want more! and Soon! Oppressed picked up the menu.

When the bartender returned with a whiskey in hand, Oppression smiled. She ordered the stuffed mushrooms and the Chicken Marsala. She sipped this whiskey while waiting for her food. She was debating on whether to make a hasty exit from Detroit. She would decide soon

Mercury noticed that she was in a rather seedy part of town. There were hookers wandering the streets. A couple approached her and each one had asked the same thing.

"Do you know Jace_Herondale? Have you seen him?"

Mercury had no idea who this person was but he mast have paid the hookers handsomely. She vast number of hookers roaming this area surprised her. Rather than attempt to figure out what was going on, Mercury hailed the only cab she had seen in the area and headed for another part of town. She spotted an Italian restaurant.

L'Esperienza Di Detroit Restaurant

 

She paid him and departed the cab. Mercury entered the restaurant and was immediately impressed with the beautiful marble fountain before her. She reached into her pocket, walked up to it, and tossed a penny into it while making a wish. Mercury walked up to the hostess. A couple minutes later she was escorted to a table and was handed a menu.

The hostess smiled and said “When you are ready to order, a waiter will be ready to take your order, please enjoy your meal sir. Its been a real pleasure meeting you.”

Mercury scanned the room. The decor was beautiful. She had happened right into a five star restaurant. After witnessing the desolation in New York, this was exactly what she needed. Mercury turned her attention to the menu and read the beverages available.

The menu was impressive! Mercury had a hard time deciding. The waiter returned with her drink.

Give me a few minutes. Everything looks delicious. Do you recommend anything in particular? she asked him

Our Sicilian Salad is perfecto! It is an old world recipe that you are sure to enjoy! Our Bruschetta is divine! the waiter said enthusiastically. For a main course I would suggest the Fusilli Contadina or the Veal Piccata. Both are excellent!

Alright, the Sicillian Salad and the Fusilli Contadina it is then, Mercury replied as she handed him the menu. I'll take an order of Bruschetta as well. It is mandatory with an Italian meal, after all. Please bring it with the main meal Mercury said with a smile.

Mercury enjoyed her drink as she waited on her salad. She could really get used to this place! The salad arrived. It lived up to the hype the waiter had given it. Mercury was still enjoying it as her meal arrived. She cut up the veal and used a piece of Bruschetta to maneuver the veal and vegetables onto the fork. It too was amazing!.

Mercury took her time. She ordered a glass of red wine and enjoyed her meal. When she was done, the waiter handed her a dessert menu. She had seen them on the menu but ahd completely forgotten what was available.

We had make all our desserts, the waiter informed her. Mercury looked it over.

Within minutes, the waiter returned with her dessert and wine. Mercury took her time savoring it. When she was finished, Mercury paid the bill and left a C-Note on the table. She walked out into the streets of Detroit. She would be returning, of that she ahd no doubt.

Motor City the place where her roots started , such poignant memories where her ancestor had first started and learned the ropes of the world in which she is part of it now.

 

"Its been a long time since I have keep in touch with my friend Belldandy , I hope she is well and that I am not late with our meeting " she looks at her watch that her mom had given her  on her 16th birthday .

 

She entered the place in which Belldandy had chosen a few days before she planned the flight to Detroit . The Restaurant is simply elegant and top notch , with it situated to one of the busiest streets of Detroit . People are milling about and it looks totally crowded . 

 

She stopped at the Maitre'd and told him her name . They already have reservations earlier and its good that they did because God knows the place is somewhat full today. A waitress lead her to the reserve table and hands her the menu .

 

"Here you go mam, just call me when you are ready to order " the waitress told  Viene .

 

Viene flips through the menu while waiting for Belldandy.
