Motor City Hotel Started by: Maddy on Feb 13, '18 18:46

Napster had been in Detroit for a short visit. Upon arriving in the Motor City, he needed a place to stay.

Wondering where would be a good a place for him to stay for the night, he jumped into a cab and asked the driver to take him to a top notch hotel.

After a short drive, he arrived at The Motor City Hotel. He was impressed by the grand entrance the hotel had. Upon entering he was amazed by the beautiful grand chandelier in the lobby.

Walking over the receptionist, he asked for a penthouse suite, leaving her a wad of cash as he made his way up to his room.

He was too tired to look around at the amenities the suite offered, instead went straight to the king size bed and dozed off to a well deserved nap.

Apache just got back into the motor city. He needed a place to lay low for awhile while his Frybread restaurant was closed for the night. He expected to run the business himself tomorrow then head on back to Las Vegas before night fall.  He walked up to the counter.

”I’m looking for a presidential Suit just for one night?  How much do I owe ya?”

Apache pulled out the cash needed for the room then followed the bag boy to his room.  The room was great had a king sized bed and a cream color to the walls.  There were hand paintings on the walls with a huge fur rug on the floor.  Apache decided to get in the jacuzzi to relax before he went to catch some shut eye.

Rameses was making a flying visit to Motor City. One of his old friends was in town that he'd promised to visit. It was late evening and tired from the long drive from the Windy City, he desperately needed a place to kip for the night.

As he was driving along the quiet streets of Detroit, he noticed a grand hotel just at the end of the road. The Motor City Hotel it was called. With a grand entrance he thought to himself this is the perfect place to stop off at for the night.

He parked his car in the parking lot, and made his way to the lobby, he only had a little bag with him as he wasn't planning on staying too long.

Walking up the reception area...

Hello, do you have any rooms available for the night, with breakfast included?

The cab driver stopped on the curb slowly. "There you go, cheapest hotel in town." He said. Alexander sized up the building from the window and wondered if that really was the case. Alas he had no way to verify it and no other options so he paid the cabbie and got out. The cab immediately sped off in search of another fare leaving him standing on the deserted street with nothing but the stars to keep him company.

Meandering to the entrance, Alexander thought about how different his trip was from his last one. Where the previous one had him dining in expensive restaurants and performing in famous clubs, the current one had him wandering aimlessly clutching onto his wallet and what precious little cash he had left. Having recently been exposed to the mafia world the hard way, he was now jumping at every shadow. Somehow he made his way in through the doors and onto the reception where a woman sat lazily trimming her nails.

When she saw him enter, she looked surprised as if a customer at midnight was a rare sight. With a sigh , he walked up to the counter and fulfilled the necessary formalities before being handed the keys. When he looked at the number, a groan escaped his throat. Having traveled to and fro from LA twice in the last 2 days meant he did not have the energy to climb up 5 flights of stairs to get to his room. Reluctantly he began the climb only to be huffing and puffing by the time he reached the top. Pausing next to the door he rested his sweat stained back against the wall as his knees gave out. Sitting on the floor he wondered what the city would hold for him, wondered if there would be any comfort to be found here, any solace from solitude.

He knew there was only one way to find out. Mustering the last bit of energy he had left, Alexander pulled himself up , unlocked the door and stepped in. Closing the door behind him he collapsed on the bed.

Orion had just landed in Detroit and after the long flight from Los Angeles he was ready to unpack his things and relax for a bit. He heard of a very nice motel and took a cab to the motel with haste. Once there he smiled as he was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and professionalism that this place seemed to embody. He walked up to the reception desk with one duffel bag in hand.

As he stood there waiting he listened in as the staff helped other guests. They were all very respectful and mindful to the guests needs. All good signs Orion thought to himself. He waited for about ten minutes before he was greeted. The receptionist asked the standard questions and Orion answered them.

“I’ll be staying for a total of seven days, I would like a king bed if possible, but I will happily settle for a queen if need be. I would like a kitchenette as well and a living area. I won’t be having any additional guests with me.”

He stopped and flashed a genuine smile.

“If possible though, would it be alright for me to request a rather quiet section of the hotel. I’m not what one would call a heavy sleeper and any accommodation that can be made in that regard would go a long way in my book.”

"Dado, please get my bags."

What was happening currently: Piper hopping out of the Rolls-Royce Phantom II. She was going to stay at the Motor City Hotel because she had a meeting today with a very important business man. Piper was eager to get her hands on her check book and secure their deal. Her guards had no idea what she was doing, but they'd find out.

Piper was gorgeous, slim and charismatic. She loved to talk and socialise, so it was no surprise that many of the men she sought out for a one night stand always ended up crawling back to her.

It was very unexpected when she saw her latest mystery man, Emilio.

Piper froze as her heels hit the concrete ground. She flicked her hair over her shoulder, pretended to notice a stain on her shirt and tried to look away as Emilio was rushing over to her.

"Piper? Is that you? Darling!"

The man was a super star. That wasn't Piper's words though. Those were the words of the many fan girls he had. The only connection Piper had with him was last night at a pub. He was similar to her in the way that he liked to talk alot, but the problem was - Piper got easily bored of him. She died a little inside when Emilio finally noticed her.

She couldn't escape him now. It would be rude to not say hi at least, right?

Piper's slender legs stood tall and she addressed the handsome man in front of her. She traced her index finger of the top of his shoulder. It was a nice suit.

"Hello, Emilio. How have you been?"

Emilio straightened his posture, took Piper's hand and kissed it gently. All that happened with his eyes strictly locked on hers. "I am doing better now that you're here." It was creepy. Piper took back her hand shortly after that. She didn't know why this guy liked her so much, but she didn't have any friends in Detroit so maybe she can start a friendship with him.

Piper decided to let Dado, her personal bodyguard, know that she will be out for a bit and if he can sort out the room and luggage.

Dado nodded, hands full with suitcases, before heading for the entrance of the hotel.

Piper turned back to Emilio and smiled sweetly. "I am never hungry these days. But I would so fancy a cocktail right now. I hear this hotel has a bar, are you keen?"

Report Post Tip

Her request earned an energetic nod from Emilio. Oh, he liked the sound of that! The charming bastard he was didn't say another word as he took her hand and led them both to the hotel bar. It was the quietest but busiest part of the hotel. But who can blame them? People wanted to relax with a delicious alcohol concoction in their hand.

Piper liked the sound of it too. Emilio's level of creepiness was still at a high, but she could tolerate it for now.

The bartender was throwing and catching a bottle of wine in his hand when Piper and Emilio came over. Impressive. Piper raised her eyebrows and parted her lips in amazement. "Ah-mazing, that."

"Eh. Just something I do when I'm bored around here. The customers do like it when I do it though."

Emilio was totally kissing her ass, so it was no surprise that he agreed with the statement - even though he had seen better. "Oh, yes. That was amazing. Now... Uhh..." His eyes were searching for a name tag, but before he could read it, the bartender interrupted. He could tell that this Emilio guy was not genuine at all, and was slightly confused about how such a well put woman like Piper was with him. He instantly didn't like him.

"Alexander. The name's Alexander."

Emilio's cheeks reddened and almost stumbled over his words. He quickly regained his posture when he realized again that the lady beside him was his special company.

".. Yes. Alexander. I was just about to say that. The lady would like," he said as he turned to Piper expectantly waiting for her decision.

"A Mary Pickford cocktail, Alexander. Thanks." Piper quickly added, feeling impatient and slightly annoyed.

The bartender chuckled as he put the bottle in his hand away. He faced Emilio and stretched his hand out in Piper's direction. "I think the lady can fend for herself, buddy."

Report Post Tip

It was clear that Emilio was just not doing a good job. Piper didn't want to lose hope though. The man had money. Surely something good can come out of this friendship.

Piper shook her head. She smiled politely at the bartender, then put a hand on Emilio's shoulder.

"It's okay, Emilio. You should order your drink now. I'll go wait by the tables okay?"

Emilio didn't even have time to respond as Piper was already walking away. She just wanted to be alone. Even if it was for a little while. The bartender seemed intriguing and thought she might talk to him later after Emilio leaves.

Report Post Tip

Emilio came back with her desired cocktail in his hand, and with his simple glass of whiskey on the rocks. Piper smiled up at him, took her drink, sipped on it and let out a satisfied relief. "Been needing one of these since I touched down here in Detroit!"

It wasn't just because it was a refreshing drink that she was desperately needing one, but Piper was not used to being sober. She was almost always off her shits and Dado knew about her drinking habits very well. He always thought it was something she did whenever she felt lonely or depressed.

Well, he was almost right. Hard to believe that no one has figured it out yet.

Emilio broke her train of concentration when she waved his hands in front of her face. "Piper darling can you hear me? I have to head off right now. I'm so very sorry... I want to hang out with you more but I got a meeting to catch with a business partner. I promise I'll come visit your room when you're finally settled in." He leaned in for a cheek kiss, but Piper pulled away quickly and picked up her cocktail glass. She took a sip, and looked up at him through her eyelashes, nodding.

When she set the glass down, Piper spoke again in an annoyed tone, but she made it very subtle.

"Yes yes, of course. I understand. You're a busy man. Okay, that's fine. We'll talk later Emilio." Emilio felt a little disappointed that he didn't accept his kiss, but he nodded meekly and turned away. Poor thing. Someone will take advantage of the man eventually.

And then there was some more time to herself when Emilio walked away. She was just about to leave as well, when the bartender from before stopped her path. He had a plate of bruschetta in his hand, ready to be served. The bartender also had a small bowl of deliciously looking red cherries. Piper looked at him, confused.

"Alexander, I..."

The bartender didn't take no for an answer. He set the food down on the table and sat across from her. "Nope. You can't escape from me now, and I'm also on a work break. Keep me company for thirty minutes?"

Piper wasn't so sure about this, but there was something about him that made her want to stay.

She accepted his request.
