If our constitutional rights are taken away, we will never get them back! It gives the Government even more control. The Constitution was written to protect us from people who don't think we need a constitution for protect protection.
Do you think boycotting the NRA and banning guns Will: 1. Stop gun violence? 2. Lower the murder rate ? 3. stop people from selling and buying guns illegally ? 4. stop MS-13 , Crips and Bloods from shooting up neighborhoods? 5. stop Mass Killings?
This undeniable stat proves that criminals don’t care about the law & will find ways to get their hands on guns. Yet liberals still want to punish law-abiding gun owners, leaving them defenseless.

| I see you have bought into the myth that liberals want to take away your guns. The only thing I’ve ever heard is requests for common sense legislation and background checks. Yet the NRA, which is nothing more than a lobbying group for arms manufacturers,uses such scare tactics to manipulate simpletons into thinking “the democrats are coming for your guns”. When in reality, the only one who has threatened to suspend due process and take guns is the current republican president. Don’t listen to what the pundits say. Instead, watch what politicians actually do. | |

One more point. There were multiple gun shootings/deaths in Chicago Illinois a few days before the Florida school shooting. Illinois is a Democratic stronghold. Florida is a swing state which President Trump won in 2016.
In Chicago there were no cries for gun control by the Dems nor town hall meetings aired by the mainstream media. Dems are confident they will control Illinois. Florida being a swing state, won by our President in 2016 with a decent margin, got the nose blowing and tear jerking Dems screaming gun control. |

More then likely our guns will not be controlled because we had legally armed law enforcement on duty at that school. And they did nothing. The leads prior to the shooting to check out this man were ignored. The systemic failures from many departments of our law enforcement will be the very reason we will not see gun control.
I'll check your link out in a few minutes. I know President Trump is not business as usual in WA which is why he is our President. And will be until 2024 I miss nothing either :) |

I’m sure you can find the full meeting if you look for it. His comments were not out of context. As usual, he was irrational, contradictory, and sort of all over the place. For the record, I am an independent moderate with libertarian leanings, not a liberal or democrat by any stretch. I have no problem with guns. What I have a problem with is bullshit in political discourse. I was a political science undergraduate, so I tend to look at all issues objectively, without regard for personal bias. I can assure you that the biggest heap of bullshit comes from the Republican Party. The reason is quite simple. They literally have to be full of shit, because if they were honest about their agenda their support would come from only a tiny minority- wealthy individuals looking for tax breaks. So they convince the evangelicals that they are God fearing. They scare they working class into thinking immigrants are taking their jobs. They scare gun owners into thinking the Dems are coming for their hunting rifles. As a result, they get more support than from only the small demographic they truly work for. Like I said, massive bullshit artists. The Dems hands are not completely clean either, but their bullshit is not quite as sociopathic. Their bullshit tends to relate to following public opinion and sentiment to ensure their re-election. (A good example of this is how they all jumped on board with the Patriot Act due to public sentiment at the time. They knew it was a kick in the balls to the 4th Amendment, but supported it anyways) One more thing, and I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Donald Trump is not a conservative by any definition of the word. Lucky for him, most of his supporters do not know the definition, either. |

I watched the meeting live. And I assure you he got what he wanted for Americans. There will be no gun control. There is a heap of shit from the Republican party but it is not the biggest heap of shit.
What I see is a President who is shaking up Washington both in the primaries and current state of affairs. And the shake up is for the good of us! |

| Your argument seems to be that if a law does not stop violations of the law, there should be no law. Are speed limits going to stop people from speeding? Will laws against murder stop people from killing people? Like I said, I have no problem with guns, only with bullshit. These canned arguments like Karnage’s have been around forever and most of them are just as easily refuted. You want an intelligent argument against gun control?
