Which brings me to another point. I'll give it to you in the form of a question. Is respect and trust intertwined and why? It is of my opinion, that in most cases, trust and respect goes hand in hand. If someone is to trust you completely, the must respect you aswell. There is no way, that someone acting dis-respectfull to me, could have my full trust. Those who do respect me, has alot bigger chance. - Moje |

Generally speaking I have about 2-3 close companions I would trust. Why? Because it just feels right. Otherwise.. Trust no one unless you can blackmail them. Pictures help. |

Carlo Franconi steps forward. Trust is a touchy subject. I've been burned a couple times by those I've trusted. Generally though, I believe a lot of trust comes from the gut. There is just a feelin' you get when you know someone is lyin' to your face. Of course, this is in the instance of someone you do not know very well. With people you know well, the trust comes from your experience in that particular relationship. If they are constantly late or really good at pushing the wrong buttons, you may only be able to trust them so far. Even this side of trust is not as important as the gut I believe. Simply put, people change. They need no rhyme or reason, they just do. With such variability, you have to acknowledge that anyone can turn at any time, whether they have a 100 spot backing the change, or the planets were in a strange alignment that day. So, that's trust for me. Two parts gut, one part past experience with a person. Carlo Franconi sits back arms folded over head, feeling accomplished with his two cents in the pot. |

* As Paolo waited for all the people around him to finish talking, he silently stood up and fixed his coat and said: * "It simple my friend, you determine that you can trust someone when he give you back what you give him. Its a mutual understanding, thats what trust is, you can never gain the trust of another man without also giving them your trust.." * Paolo walks to the door and went out to the cold breezy night * |
