Hello fellow football (real football) fans - now that Arsene Wenger has left Arsenal what do you think his legacy will be and who will replace him?

I personally believe that whilst he stayed too long, and personally I've wanted him to step down from his role, but he has made a huge impact on English football:

• with his free flowing attacking football; 
• changes to player nutrition; and
• manager with most FA Cups and unbeaten premier league season. 

He really good a great work for many years but allt hings has an ending so Arsenal really need a newstart with new trainer.

Arsene Wenger really did a big impact for Arsenal which not many have done throughout the years in any club in England.

Arsene Wenger brought great memories, free flowing football, great passing, trained youth player to be a great player. Even though i think we need to change manager so that we can bring new vibe to Arsenal, Arsene is a legend. All Hail Wenger!!! Thank you for the sweet memories.

He over-stayed his welcome for sure, however, he was one of the best managers around in his time. He just refused to adapt and stayed stubborn in his old school ways, just doesn't work these days.

I very much doubt we will see the likes of him in the future. He bought and nurtured some incredible players. Nowadays the big clubs just buy the finished product which he seemed to refuse to do. Hence why they have fallen off the pace.

Wenger is a good manager and has been a great asset to Arsenal in his time there. Its a long overdue change, but to be honest thats the board to blame not Wenger.

I doubt they'll go through much turmoil with his replacement, the way Utd did when they replaced Sir Alex, purely because they dont have a team thats dependant on their manager. Sir Alex got more out of a poor team, so needed wholesale changes when he left. Arsenal have decent players so a decent manager should hit the ground running there.

Ideally they should go for Simeone, he's young enough to be there for a long time and works his players hard.

As for Arsene's legacy; he'll always be remembered for a few things, namely his unbeaten season, his style of football and his long over due departure.

but its not only his fault,for years Arsenal dont want to give money for new better players

they always buy some lets say average players and thats the main reason for their current situation

He was a good manager, but given how long he was allowed to be in charge of Arsenal, I feel he didn't win enough trophies to merrit such a long stay. He should still be given respect for all he did for the club.

I would love to see him wind down his last few years as a manager at international level as it could be a worthy send off for him.

I got no idea who I feel should take over seeing as Man United are on their 3rd (4th if we count Ryan Giggs few matches at the end of the season where Moyes got fired) , But someone younger like example Nagelsman from Hoffenheim could be interesting.

Arsenal Wenger will long remain a iconic figure for English football. History will remember him as a pioneer of modern day football.

Though he may not have won many trophies in the latter part of his tenure, his style of football and managerial skills should not go amiss. 

However that being said, I think the future for Arsenal is bright, though Wenger was a great manager and tactician, times have changed, Wenger lost touch, like some of you said he overstayed his stay, must be said by a quite a bit.

Personally as a Chelsea fan, I don't think Arsenal will see drastic improvements in the short term, they'll get a half decent manager, don't see them attracting any big manager due to lack of champions league football. Frankly, I don't get care who replaces Wenger, Arsenal will continue to remain the laughing stock of London. For any entertainment tune in to ArsenalFan Tv.

After watching his teams for the past 20 years, I'm very curious to see where Wenger goes and how he does. Seems like PSG are set on Tuchel, which I thought would've been a natural landing spot...

It's interesting you say that Arsenal will remain the laughing stock of London, Travis, but a large part of the AFTV fan's attacks on the team are based around the apparent lack of desire within the squad. Do you not think a new manager will change such attitudes or get rid of those players not willing to change/improve?

If so, that would have a natural impact on the AFTV boys. Further Robbie has a show on Channel 4, don't see him putting as much into AFTV if I'm honest. 

There are some good trainers who want to/will leave. I think italian trainers are good now (I mean who are with "bigger" teams). Anyway I'm a Liverpool fan (I became when I was 4) so I hope they won't get a good trainer :P 

Has anyone seen the Four Four Two mag ranking of best managers. They put Klopp higher than Wenger. What has Klopp achieved that Wenger hasn't?

Arsene Wenger has been one of the greatest coaches seen in England ever, no doubt about it, a trainer almost with no problems beside the footballsgames

He brought a new way of doing things to Arsenal and revolutionised the clubs from top to bottom.  We wouldn't have had the stadium etc if it wasn't for him or the debt cleared so quickly.   He was let down by the board in my mind and the infighting, but he needed to change things earlier in matches like Emery does now if it isn't working.

Sadly i think many fans will remember him for the later years when things ran dry and couldn't compete even though we were told we would be able to financially.   I worry Emery will have the same problems too.
