I have already informed you I am new to the RP scene as this is my first character and time trying to do so and I don't mind learning and anything constructive is very much appreciated.

Funshine is attacking TM. Jesus is attacking my mom. We can no longer have conversations with each other it's just full on attack these days. 

Renegade, in the OOC forum I'm just another player and so are you. TM brought up a discussion, I contributed to it. I don't have a vendetta against Criseria, TM or LA. What's your point here?

Renegade, you are taking this far too personal. I understand that she is new to RP and in no way have I put down her rp abilities or picked on her writing skills. If I had I would have commented on her grammar and spelling. I didn't do that. This isn't about her abilities as a role player. This is about spam. Read the title. 

People look down on plagiarism. People look down on spam. TM brought an example of spam to the table. I brought an example of spam to the table.

As fun as this pissing contest is, if the two sides are done airing their grievances can we get back to discussing actual practical suggestions about the problem at hand please?

I just want to chime in on this situation. First off, I think we all agree plagiarism is bad (duh). Secondly, I think this situation, even if it was started because of a couple people having some sort of conflict in ideology over writing substance, is an important conversation. In my opinion, the idea of a spam post boils down to whether or not the thread has any substance, if it's of literary merit. This question is extremely subjective, I mean, who are we to decide if so-and-so can write a story about something 'interesting' if they truly believe it is a story worth sharing to the community in general? 

Secondly, I called it a conversation because I think the forums are extremely helpful in providing a good method of communication between people that may not usually talk in clan, local, global chat... This conversation can be between a group of people, but it is often broadcast to anybody that clicks on the thread. Inevitably, there are people who are reading this thread and not replying because they are in no way required to reply. Those people also have opinions of this situation, just like they would have an opinion on so-and-so's story. That opinion might be that it sucked, or they really liked it, but it's generally difficult for an outside observer to gauge the community's reaction to a story. 

TLDR: Anybody that posts on the forums can affect the general mood of the community, and they should take into consideration their platform in posting any content. Whatever content they post should be their own, but what they choose to post can be anything within reasonable limits of literary merit (at least in the cred-rewarding areas). Although the forums are a powerful tool to bring light on a certain situation that can be irking you or actually pissing you off, it is generally better to talk to that person about your qualms face to face and without malice than to air out the situation to the public with all but their name, thinly veiled in secrecy. 

I think that as long as somebody enjoys the content being posted, then it has no reason to do anything but continue.
