I have never really followed MLS, but the fact that Mexico registered seismic activity on the Richter scale when their team scored against Germany is one of the best explanations of why I love the world cup. Every game matters so goddamn much. |

I’m surprised to see Argentina struggle so much. I have largely found myself rooting for England and Iceland, but who knows what will happen! |

The way this world cup is going i feel like the major big teams will get a early exit and we will have a underdog winner. |

I wish the US were in it, but since they're not, I'm not sure who to root for..either Brazil or England.. |

Mostly stunned by how little that differentiates the assumed favourites vs the underdogs. Have the better teams lost their advantage or has the poorer ones just upped their game? |

I agree with your assessment, JoeDough. The line between favorite and underdog seems slim. I'm not sure if it's a product of increasing parity or something in the nature of the sport itself. In a game like basketball, the worst that can happen is that there's a 3 pointer. In soccer, any one play can radically shift the entire game, and there are relatively fewer scoring plays. To be honest, this is what makes it a little boring for me to follow all the time, but so exciting when the stakes are high like they are in the World Cup. |

I'm so glad they finally introduced VAR into games. Listening to a few English pundits complain about it, I think them out of all people should know whats it like to have a major decision go against them. They should be glad its introduced before any other controversy happens. |

Another day of matches. Not the most thrilling ones, but the Belgium and Germany matches should be fun to watch! |

Alright folks th world cup has been underway for a while now well the group matches anways and I would like to know what everyones thoughts were. What was the most memorable moment for you with the team your rooting for. If I had to select two the only thing I think about when I watch Portugal play is thank god for Ronaldo, I also enjoyed watching Argentina get spanked 3-0. Oh and lastly Thank God Germany is still in it, Ty Kroos. :P |

I love the games so far. No "big" team seems to be strong enough and this might be an excellent opportunity for a new team to win it. |

Acctually don’t think German has been that bad on the offence, just really shaky when they get counter attacked. Belgium looking strong, along with Croatia and Portugal. |
