I would like to say that St Louis may seem a lot like NY, but that has a lot to do with Joey_Cesari's influence upon New Yorkers. His time in New York was influencial and he's probably continueing his formula for success that got him the position of Godfather in St Louis. The mobsters there are quality, I can assure you.

You will hear shortly my views on Made Men in our current times. Here is not the place for that discussion. I never claimed that NY was innocent in the degradation, all cities are guilty.

To hopefully prevent this from getting out of hand, I do remember a time when mobsters were encouraged to put things like this in the streets so that Godfathers could prevent their members from "member whoring". I dont know this civilian, nor do I support calling out cities for the acts of 1, but I would hope people could accept the idea he may have last been around when these things were highly frowned upon.

Again here we are over recruitment. Although the tactics were not the best choice by the Made Men in question (which I would agree), walking into the street and throwing dirt into the air like you did will lead to me having a drink or two and watching from my loft as you get cement shoes by one of those Made Men who offered you protetion. I, along with most leaders have a open door and are very welcoming when mobmailed about issues and care enough to fix it usually.

There are always things that need fine tuning in a business and always a better way to bring up issues to a leader, other than this

My only concern here is that yoyo has sent you an invite into our family. To be fair, we normally insist on a MUCH higher calibre of family member than you have portrayed yourself to be. I will have to have some words with him about this.

On the other side, Im actually happy that you have brought all this to our attention. It shows to me that we do need to enforce stricter guidelines when giving our Made Men the honour to become Sponsors. Like I said already, its in all our interests to try and stop the dregs of our society from gaining access to our families.

No need ThatGuy, although it is amusing that a wise guy speaks with more wisdom than a lot of the suits. One thing I am positive of, unsolicited invites were always member whoring, so where or when I came from hardly matters. It really comes down to running a tight ship, some people are, some aren't. My real problem was where to go after my fathers untimely demise, unfortunately I couldn't come up with anything before I opened my mouth. Not that I ever kept it closed to begin with mind you.

You know, I think it's a bit silly to blame a sponsor for member-whoring. Now I can certainly say there didn't seem to be a lot of effort in the invite itself, but I mean seriously, that is what sponsors are there for, J-M-C. See, member-whoring by a CL is bad because more than likely they will not have the attention to give to said member and lead to an inactive body. However, it directly benefits a sponsor to teach... I know there are differing opinions on this, but I have a hard time negatively viewing a sponsor for doing exactly what their job title tells them to do.

Although I have never looked at it in that sense before, I do have to go along and agree with Roman here on certain lengths.
It is of course the full benefit of the sponsor to recruit, teach and then live in the glory of watching that young Mafioso one day become successful in this thing of ours,
However, I think there should always be a limit, at least show a little bit of interest in knowing who your are recruiting, after all, that new associate reflex of the family itself, not just the sponsor who recruited them, so while it's all good member whoring from a sponsor, I think more effort in knowing the person first is a wise choice.

Having said all this, J-M-C, coming out here and trashing the entire New York name over one incident is a very bad and stupid move, especially since it's clear that your line have been around here before, so there's no real excuses for the title of this speech and perhaps a little more effort in your original post would perhaps have been a better option rather than rushing it.

What you are not quite grasping here is the fact member whoring is now encouraged. It doesn't matter what you think about it. What it used to be or what it should be. Member whoring is actively encouraged by the Gods. As such leaders and sponsors now partake in this little practice.It's the way the world works. The policing of it was effectively taken from the leaders hands so why the fuck should they put any effort into recruiting cash cows to start with and see what they can do after they have given a spurt? The worst that will happen is they get another notch on their gun.

The facts are you have absolutely no rights to come out and judge a city or judging how anyone is running their ship. How does this old saying go? Rank up and do something about it? Yeah. That'll end it nicely.
