I am still a much bigger fan of Batman than Spiderman but Spiderman isn't too bad either.

It also depends on which Spiderman too. Some are much weaker in my eyes. But I will go with the consensus here that Batman would win with preperation, however if it were a first time meeting then I will have to side with Spidey, but it would be much closer than people think and I do believe that Batman would be able to escape whether Spiderman tries to keep him there or not.

Anyone who think Batman would win is clearly smoking crack.

Batman vs Spiderman, toe to toe with no outside intervention - Alfred aside - would be a Spiderman victory.

Batman fights in the shadows; that's his main strength. Spideysense nulifies that essentially. Utility belt and gadgets? Webs and spideysense. Raw strength, speed and reaction time - Spidey, obvs.

Parker gets it, unless he's preventing a crime of some sort, saving someone or if Batman has help.

For awhile there Peter Parker actually ran his own company called Parker Industries but more to the point he doesn't need a large company to create gadgets for him because he's a Genius that makes all his tech on a shoestring budget. People often forget he's a great strategist in his own right which is why he's consistently able to deal with 6 actual super villains on multiple occasions. Long story short Spider-man wins
