Hearing the complaint coming from the tall, dark haired, sapphire colored eyes shot daggers at him, almost as if he should know exactly what the fuck he did. She scrunched her nose a bit as he ate the burnt toast, finding it quite strange of him, he couldn’t really be that hungry.. Could he? |

Alucard stepped up beside his longtime friend, and he glanced down along the gate which stretched the length of a city block at least. “It is definitely big, but still doesn’t explain why this place has a gift shop.” He retorted. “We are so checking this out before we leave!” He walked through the large double gate that was meant for cars to drive through, and once again looked down rows of tombstones that looked like they went from newer to older in age. Wondering where they might even begin to find a groundskeeper, let alone Xavier’s grave. “If only they had a little map to tell you where the gift shop or groundskeepers office was so we could get some directions.” Alucard wandered down a row of graves, stopping under a white birch. Leaning against the trunk of the tree, he looked down at the grave that was nearest to his feet.
Not getting too far away from Integra, he glanced back over his shoulder. She too looked as lost as he was in trying to find their way. “I have no idea where to even begin looking for anything, do you?” As he finished asking Integra where she thought to begin, a voice came around from the other side of the tree. “Sounds like you sheep shaggers are lost.” The man spoke, stepping out from around the tree Alucard was leaning against. He was a shorter, stockier man. He was bald, with green eyes, and a flaming red beard. He sported a pair of farmers overalls, with a simple white shirt underneath, and a pair of red-wing miners boots. Alucard jumped from the tree, “Where the hell did you come from old man?! And for the love of the queen we are British not fucking Welsh, ya stupid yank!” “Meh, ya all sound the same to me kid.” The old man said without a care in the world, until he got a look the way the light shined off Alucard’s amber eyes. “Now calm down, don’t need ya turnin into a monster on me now kid. The name’s Samuel, I’ve been the caretaker of these grounds for the last 30 years or so. How can I help yous out?” |

Integra sighed as she listened to Alucard talk about the gift shop that this place, running a hand through her waist length blonde hair as she pulled out her cigar, lighting it and taking a long drag from the large cancer stick. “You are quite adamant on this gift shop, aren’t you…?” She seemed to think for a few moments before shrugging slightly. “Couldn’t hurt to check it out…. I suppose… I heard there was a café here as well.” She took another drag from her cigar, blowing it out into the air as she walked with her hands in the pockets of her coat, her left hand coming out only when she needed to flick the ash off the cigar. Her eyes glanced around the different Tombstones, glancing at the different engravings on all of them as she continued heading through, not knowing at all where she was going. Integra just simply picked a direction and had walked constantly to check things out. Hearing Alucard mention little maps to tell them the directions. “In all honesty… it’s probably in the main building, where the gift shop and café are attached to. Which means we just have to try to find it while walking around here.” She pulled her hand out, tapping out the ash before taking another drag and blowing the smoke into the air. She was simply just listening to Alucard as they passed by a white birch tree, she hadn’t paid much attention around the tree until she heard a new voice speak. She had half a mind to reach for her gun as she turn around, her sharp blue eyes scanning the area, finally landing on the bald man with a flaming red beard and brilliant dark green eyes. She frowned as she simply turned around just as she heard Alucard seem to take offense at them being called Sheep shaggers. She glanced at the man, taking in his short, stocky frame, listening to Alucard become startled at the Houdini of a little man. She stayed quiet throughout the entirety of the conversion, even stomping out her cigar in the grass before looking at the man as he said something that she never liked to ever hear come out of anyone’s mouth in regard to Alucard.

Samuel, the gruff old caretaker mumbled to himself as he walked away from the pair, “Hellfire eyes, ain’t natural I tell you. Some demon spawn, I tell you.” Alucard overheard the man, and he couldn’t help but laugh, and he gave the old man a toothy smile as he said, with a warm friendly tone, “Thank you for your help old man!” Once the man was well out of their line of view, Alucard pulled a pencil and paper out of his pocket. He wrote down directions to find help them find Xavier’s grave after dark.
He looked over to his partner in crime, “Well, I have some directions down to make finding a little easier after dark. So outside of a car, shovel and flashlight… is there anything else you think we’ll need? Rope perhaps, never know when rope may come in handy.” |

Integra shot Samuel a dark look as the older man walked away, feeling her mood sour as she grumbled slightly, glancing at the headstone of Xavier’s grave. She waited until the older man walked away before squatting down, looking like she was actually visiting the grave of a family member. She ran a hand through her hair as she seemed to think, half listening to what Alucard said when he spoke up. “So long as we can get back to here, that’s fine.” |

The man nodded, adding a tarp to the list he was making out. Putting the piece of paper back into his duster pocket, he looked over at Integra and said, “Oh don’t deny it, you know you’re dying to see what a cemetery gift shop is like.” Alucard tried to keep a straight face, but he couldn’t help but laugh at his own bad joke. “Get it Tegs? DYING to see, and we’re in a cemetery!” He laughed to himself for another minute, before beginning to walk to the main building that they could still see from Xavier’s grave. "How about it Integra? I’ll buy you a lil gravestone keychain, maybe they could engrave your name on it!” And he laughed some more. Still feeling a bit playful, he added, but a tad more seriously… “When I get enough money, I’m totally buying this place.” The closer they got the more impressed with the structure Alucard was. The main building looked like it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and it was something to behold. As they arrived at the main door, Alucard reached an arm out and opened the door, beckoning Integra. “Ladies first.” He entered in after her and looked around. The gift shop and cafe seamlessly transitioned into each other. The smell of fragrant aroma of coffee, greeted them as soon as they entered the building. As much as he was dying to walk around the giftshop, he was getting hungry again and could really go for a cup of coffee or tea. “How about it Integra, want a cuppa? My treat.” He smiled as he asked his companion. |

She ignored his comment about not denying that she was dying to see what the cemetery gift shop looked like because he wasn’t wrong. She did want to see what it looked like, but she did also want to get the stuff for this job to get it over with. Instead she just shook her head, laughing softly at his joke. “You are impossible sometimes… where do you come up with this shit?”
She was quiet as she thought over both the thought Alucard had shared about buying this place, as well as what they would need for tonight. She thanked him as she walked into the building, going a few steps in as she glanced around before closing her eyes and enjoying the smell of the coffee. Hearing Alucard ask her if she wanted a cuppa, the blonde smiled towards him and nodded. “That would be lovely, Thank you.” She watched him for a moment before finding herself wandering towards the gift shop, going over the different knick knacks that were laying about. |

Alucard paid for both his and Integra’s cups of tea, he thanked the cafe’s barista then went and sat at a cozy table for two that overlooked the gift shop. He didn’t call Integra over right away, instead, he took a minute and watched her as she walked around the coffee shop, not even aware of the smile that had crept across his face. He was so caught up in Integra he never noticed the barista walk up to him to give him the change he forgot at the cash register. “Excuse me sir, but you forgot your change up at the register.” said the woman with wavy auburn colored hair. Alucard showed signs of being visibly startled, and when the barista laughed at him, he couldn’t help but feel a slight reddening come across his face from the embarrassment of being taken off guard. He turned and as his almost incandescent eyes met her eyes, which were the color of a clear green sea, she took a step back. Alucard tried to keep his voice calm and sincere in an attempt to not scare the girl anymore, “Thank you for your honesty,” Alucard looked at the name sewn onto her uniformed shirt, “...Helen. It’s refreshing to see in times like these. So please, keep the change with my gratitude.” The man could see Helen’s eyes get large with a questioning, “are you serious look” too them. Without her saying a word, he answered her, “Yes, all of it. Thank you again, this tea is fabulous.” The girl stammered for a bit, “Oh you’re welcome, and thank you, sir.” The girl paused for a moment, then started to speak, a little fear in her voice, “I was wonderi….” She immediately stopped when she noticed Alucard’s gaze falling back on Integra, and her face broke out in a bright blush. “I...I.. see. You’re a lucky man sir, your girlfriend is very beautiful.” “Yeah, she is…” He said mindlessly until it dawned on him that the barista had referred to Integra has his girlfriend. He then sat up so quickly he nearly knocked over both cups of tea. “It’s not like that… she’s… we’re childhood friends!” he stammered out. “Yeah, of course, sir. Enjoy your tea.” Helen said, in a way that clearly conveyed that while she knew Alucard believed what he said, but she knew it wasn’t the truth. She gave Alucard a smile and a wink before taking her place behind the register again. Alucard looked up seeing Integra walking towards their table, “well at least I don’t have to call her over to the table for the tea” He thought to himself, before he saw the look on her face, while not obvious to anyone else, he knew the look all to well and took a deep breath waiting. |

While Alucard was getting the tea, Integra found herself going through many of the different knick knacks, her eyes stopping on a few things as her fingers ran over them gently, she was completely oblivious to what was going on in the next room as she felt older memories creep up on her. She never did like being around cemeteries as they reminded her too much of the funeral for her father. She seemed to be staring off into space as she was looking over an object, yet not really seeing it as her mind seemed to roll through the memories. She wasn’t sure how long she had been standing there when she heard a noise coming from the cafe, yanking her mind from the memory as she blinked a bit, glancing over and noticing Alucard looking like he was…. Blushing? She had never really seen him blushing before, though he seemed to be talking to the woman over there, maybe she’d missed her chance then… maybe he felt something for the woman and liked her, she’d never really noticed him around other women unless he was flirting with them. She felt a bit jealous, but also a bit saddened at the thought of having missed such a chance. She cared for the man for so many years, and they had been through so much together, she couldn’t blame him if he only thought of her as a friend due to the age difference, but a part of her always kind of hoped he would wait for her to finally have the courage to risk everything. Maybe it wasn’t meant to be? |

Alucard gave Integra a warm but playful laugh, “You aren’t aware of the look you’re giving me are you Tegs? So tell me, what’s on your mind, spill it.” Alucard took a sip of tea enjoying it, mentioning how it surprised him that the cafe even offered Earl Grey blend of tea. “Just one more reason to buy the place, huh?” He said before he could even give Integra a chance to answer his first question. He looked at his friend, he eyes getting lost in her sapphire ones before she looked away. Even though there were years of facts proving otherwise, he couldn’t help but wonder if she didn’t look away out of discomfort in his eyes glowing color. “Everyone’s unnerved by them, why should she be any different really?” He found the devil on his shoulder telling him. In the distance, a clock had chimed the 12 o’clock time, which shook Alucard out of his self-indulgent pity party. He knew the two of them had a lot of work to do before night fell. He took a deep breath, and rubbed his temples before finishing off his tea and asking Integra, “Do you have any idea what sort of car you may want? We should start thinking about our next steps.” |

She couldn’t help but cock her head slightly as she heard him ask if she wasn’t aware of the look she was giving him, shaking her head a bit before taking another drink of her tea. She was about to answer him when she heard him tell her to spill what was on her mind. Her eyes looking up at him before dropping her gaze to not show her friend the sadness she felt, though she was sure he would hear it in her voice. “It’s the cemetery… it just made me think of dad… that’s all…” She wished she could tell him, but after noticing how he had acted towards the waitress earlier, she figured he felt nothing for her except that of friendship. She was completely oblivious to the fact that before she’d glanced at them, he’d been staring at her. Hearing him mention about how the tea was another reason to buy this place, she smiled faintly as she drank some more before nodding slightly. “It is definitely the best tea we’ve had since coming over here we’ve still got quite a bit of time though, before we could probably afford to buy this place..” Her voice was soft as she was still pulling herself together after being indulged in the memories of her father. She felt him staring at her as she glanced up, feeling his amber eyes draw her into them, before turning her gaze away as her cheeks heated slightly. She knew some people couldn’t take staring into his eyes, but she found that she enjoyed looking at them. To her she couldn’t image a better eye color, his own reminding her of the very gem that they looked like, so many emotions showing in them, though there were some that she couldn’t quite figure out what they were. She also knew that he could always read her like a book, thus why she glanced away, more afraid of him finding out how she truly felt about him and then having to tell her that he didn’t reciprocate those feelings. If it weren’t for that… she would probably stare into them for as long as he allowed her. Hearing the clock strike twelve times, she blinked a bit as she glanced back up at him, not realizing that it was already the afternoon, had the day really gone by that fast? She noticed him rubbing his temples and watched him with a bit of a concerned look, wondering if he was getting a headache or something. “Are you alright?” |

He took a deep breath, just looking at his friend. She wasn’t telling him something, he just had no idea what though. He just had to take comfort in knowing that when she was ready to talk about whatever it was going on in her head, that she’d do it. He couldn't’ help being lost in thought, wondering about what was going on with Integra though. Bringing himself back into the now, he said out loud “Yeah the D4 Coach is a nice car, I thought I saw a dealership on our way here. And, don’t you worry about how we’re going to afford it. I will get you, your car.” He gave Integra a bright, albeit mischievous grin before noticing the look on her face. He laughed as he said, “I said that out loud, didn’t I?” As he stood up, he realized he didn’t answer about whether or not he was alright or not. “I’m fine Tegs.” He said slightly chuckling to himself, offering his hand to help Integra stand. After she stood, he offered her the crook of his arm laughing at the look she gave him when he did so. “Don’t give me that look Tegs, the barista already thinks we’re an item, so let's play it up.” He held back an abrupt laugh at Integra’s bright blush and shocked look, “I’m serious, c’mon it’s not that shocking to think I’d be taken by someone would it?” He teased her, still completely oblivious to what had been making her look so sad before. |

Integra was finishing her tea, completely oblivious to the look Alucard was giving her. Glancing towards him only when he made a comment about not having to worry about how they were going to afford a specific car. She raised an eyebrow as she watched him and simply nodded as he asked if he had stated that out loud. “You did indeed say that out loud…” She shook her head as she finished her tea, finding that it wasn’t too bad, and it was actually tasteful. “I have no idea what look you are talking about.” She couldn’t help but grin slightly, knowing this at the moment was a show for the waitress since the woman already thought they were an item… although they weren’t… Integra couldn’t help but wish it were true… if only she could tell if Alu was simply messing with her… or if there was actually something there. Just the thought of it being something true made her blush, but to play it off and try to hide some of her feelings she gave him a shocked look, as if that was something hard to believe. “Hmm.. Only because it’s you… I don’t think it’s too hard to believe...But yet… I think it would indeed be shocking… seeing as you only like to flirt and not actually date.” Knowing that if he looked into her words too much, he might notice something, she tried to distract Alucard with a different topic as they headed out of the Cafe and back into the Cemetery. “So.. About that car… just how do you expect me to believe you can charm that off of someone? I know you are charismatic and all… but a car? No way…” |

“Maybe I just flirt around because I’m waiting for the right woman, one that can control the monster.” He said to Integra. In his thoughts, he couldn’t help but wonder if her comments were based on his more promiscuous days around the Hellsing manor. Now more than ever he wondered if she even noticed that his behavior completely ceased after what happened on her 18th birthday. He reached into his pocket, pulling out a half dollar and flipping it between his fingers, Alucard took a sharp intake of breath trying to shake himself out of his current thoughts. He gave his partner in crime, a broad and charming smile. “If I can charm the prime minister enough to give me his pants, I have absolutely no doubts I can charm a car off some simple-minded yank. Now come on, we have a car to get you!” He finished with a flourish of flipping the coin in the air and grabbing it again. He put his hand back in his duster pocket and made his way toward the door to leave. He used his free hand to hold the door to the shop open for Integra then followed her out sliding his hand back into his pocket as he did so. It was up to her if she would actually take his arm or not as they walked. Deep down he had hoped she would, since, of the simple pleasures in life he enjoyed none more than just being close to Integra. |

Integra wasn't really sure what to think of Alucard stating that maybe he was just waiting for the right person to 'control the monster'. Instead she just slapped him lightly, shooting him a look. "You know I can't stand you being called that. I don't allow anyone to call you that so what makes you think i'd allow you to call yourself that... you know it isn't true.." She grumbled the last part slightly as she watched him flip a half dollar between his fingers, seeming to feel like he wasn't telling her how he was actually feeling. Course, she was doing the same thing to him so they were basically at an impasse until one of them caved. As Alucard held the door open, Integra brushed past him sideways, getting a few steps away from the man before pausing and waiting for him to catch up to her, knowing it wouldn't take long since he did have longer legs. Once he got close she followed the same path, retracing steps from the grave of their 'cousin', Xavier back towards the front of the cemetery. She had the path memorized and was sure that she could find her way back. realizing she hadn't spoke or replied to Alucard in some time, she seemed to startle herself before glancing at him. "I wouldn't put it past you to charm your way into getting whatever you want... it's seemed to work for you so far. Just don't get yourself arrested..." She smirked softly, knowing he wouldn't get himself arrested, just becuase he could charm his way out of that as well. |

He couldn’t help but grin while he rubbed his cheek after she smacked him and as thoughts entered his head of how to respond to her. As she walked passed he couldn’t help but notice the sweet smell of Vanilla and Lavender that lingered on her hair from her shampoo. After she was past and a few steps forward, he threw caution to the wind and decided to just say what was going on inside his head as he was being smacked. “Integra!” He called out as he was walking up behind her. As he walked around her, he provocatively asked, “So, Tegs, tell me….” as he found his way around her, he took a few strands of her long blond hair and let them slide through his fingers, as a Cheshire grin spread across his face, “How do you KNOW, I’m not a monster? I mean, you’ve never been in my bed in THAT manner. But…” he let a short pause before continuing, “I mean, if THAT is how you wish to celebrate tonight, I wouldn’t tell you no…” His amber eyes continued to sparkle with mischief as he eyed his longtime friend’s response. He tried his best to maintain his cool confident manner but he couldn’t, and he wound up just bellowing out a long and loud laugh. A look flashed across Integra’s face, that barely lasted a split second and if he was anyone else, the look would have gone unnoticed. It made him feel a slight tinge of guilt for laughing so much. He knew he shouldn’t tease her as he did, but he couldn’t help it, there was something in her reactions was really endearing to him. So, mischief faded to sincerity in his eyes, as he held his hand out for her to take. Integra left him standing there with his hand out, and as he waited he couldn’t help but wonder what was going through her head. He calmly spoke, “I’m serious this time Tegs, take my hand while we walk.” She was the only one that never fell for his wit and charm, only this time he wasn’t trying to charm her at all, for once he was being totally genuine. Nerves raked at him a bit, yet he expected to be denied since he was being such an asshole earlier... "maybe someday I'll actually learn how to be that proper English gentleman her father always wanted me to be... what she deserves" he thought to himself as he continued waiting, with his hand out to Integra. |

She heard Alucard call her name, but simply only slowed her walk ever so slightly. She could hear his footsteps get close as so she glanced towards him, noticing that he caught a few strands of her hair and allowed to let it to slip through his fingers, she froze. Her attention turning to him as she watched the Cheshire cat-like grin spread on his face, telling her he was up to something. It wasn't until he had spoken that her cheeks burned brightly and she looked visibly thrown off slightly. "Wh-What... Th-Th-That's not... GOD DAMMIT ALUCARD!!" She attempted to swat at his hand before stomping away, trying to get some space between herself and the man she was attracted to. Everything they'd done in the past came flooding to the front of her mind, causing her blush to darken as she stopped paying attention to where she was going. Small mutters under her breath, cursing the man for teasing her. She could hear him calling her Tegs again and for her to take her hand. Turning her head she stopped paying attention to where she was going and went to scold him. |

"TEGssss" He yelled trying to warn his friend that she was about to hit a low tree branch, his voice turning to a quiet whisper as he realized he was too late to warn her. It didn't take him a half second to kneel at her side, picking up her glasses as he knelt down. He brushed her hair away from her eyes, and he slipped her glasses back into place. As he did, he asked her, "Are you okay?" He gently took her arm and helped her to stand, he took a glance around to the back of her head at the place of impact, he needed to make sure she was alright. "Integra, I'm sorry. You know I'd never do anything to purposely see you hurt." He stuck his hands back into his duster, and waited for Integra to begin walking again. He stayed quiet as they walked, tipping his hat to old man Samuel when they passed him. As they got near the entrance he found his voice again, his eyes still looking at the ground in front of him unable to look his best friend in her eyes. "And... I...." He fumbled a bit finding his words, but quickly recovered, "I know you don't realize it, but you are quite radiant when you're blushing." He spoke the words with the calmness as he would if he was mentioning a fact, like her eyes are blue. After they passed through the entrance again, Alucard walked towards the street to flag down a cab. As he did, he took a glance over his shoulder back at Integra who stood by the gate lighting a cigarette, and he couldn't help but find a smile pass back across his lips. When a cab finally stopped by the curb he called out to his friend, opening the door and waiting until she entered the cab before climbing into the car after her. "We need to visit a reliable car dealership, a place we can purchase a Delage D4 Coach, if possible. Thank you" The man told the cabby before leaning back against the seat, staring at the roof of the cabby while his mind thought about the events that had transpired, and everything that they still needed to do yet. Something flashed back into his memory, "Before, you fell..." He said to Integra with a hintt of guilt in his voice, "You said I'm not your... something, what were you going to say?" |
