"Production Woes" "Not enough hours in the day?" Hello Reader, To those who may have been wondering what happened after a pretty successful first issue of the Outlaw Gazette, it is back and will continue to be in production. There are many reasons as to why there was such a delay between Issue 1 and Issue 2 which will be touched upon deeper into the pages of this paper. The main reasons have to do with death on a large scale across the criminal underworld, the holidays, and the emergence of the unwelcome mafia organizations across all seven major cities. All of these different events led to almost no time to truly put in enough effort for Issue 2. I did not want to rush and put out a mediocre attempt that I could not be happy with. I refused to put my name on something if I could not put in the effort this sort of project deserves. It wouldn't be deserving of the tips and donations I received after the first issue if I half-assed it the next attempt. I want to avoid going too far into any more of this as some of the content of this paper will clearly show how busy the past few weeks have been. So hopefully the wait will be worth it and this paper will continue to have the support it had previously, with some room to continue growing. I thank you all for your patience and any support through the future. Author JohnMarston
"New Year, New Enemies" "A new threat rose, but they were met head on..." New Year's Day is usually a day of celebration or a day of making changes for the good of one's life. All of that was dropped on a dime when a threat appeared across all seven major cities. New criminal groups showed up in large numbers hoping to take over operations from those that were already in place. They were going to regret such a decision quite quickly as organized crime "hit the mattresses" and got to work taking out these new mafioso. The early hours saw a large chunk of these new enemies falling in the city of Las Vegas, while the city of Los Angeles began to do some damage as well. There were mafioso spread out all around the country taking out bodyguards of designated targets as well as taking on the job of whacking actual members. Gunfire could be heard at all hours of the day in each city. These enemies were also firing back in an attempt to take out the bodyguards of established mafioso. Their efforts, from most reports were very minimally effective and did not deter any attack. As the hours turned into days, we saw the complete destruction of the operations that popped up in Las Vegas. They were the first to dispense with these new enemies. A strong congratulations is in order for all those involved in helping to rid the city of the threat so quickly. Eventually another West Coast city, Los Angeles would follow suit. Not only did both of these cities start out strong, but they finished strong as well. Here in the rainy city of Seattle, the battle raged on for some time after the first couple of cities were cleared out. There were mafioso traveling constantly around the city in efforts to coordinate the killing of bodyguards. Allowing others to take out the established members of this rogue element in Seattle. Eventually with strong coordination efforts from multiple leaders and others looking to assist, the fight came to an end. As I write this specific article, the blood is still dried upon my shirt after the killing of the enemy leadership. It gladdens me to say that Seattle worked day and night to rid ourselves of this threat knowing it was of the utmost importance. The fight rages on in a few other cities, although those crews are on their way out as their members are eliminated one by one. The hope is to keep rogue elements like this out of our cities going forward, but it is clear that our cities will be quite ready if a similar threat ever arrives. I wish those still fighting good luck and congratulate everyone on the hard work they put in to rid the world of these destabilizing elements. Author JohnMarston Page 1 |

John sat down on his cot as he began to gather some notes for this evening's interview. There wasn't much time for him to get everything together and make his way to the new office he purchased for the paper. There was something off though... He looked around as he felt a gaze upon him and then out of nowhere he saw something streak through the camp in his peripheral vision. His hand like lightning grabbed his revolver from it's holster. Just as he aimed the gun at the seat in front of him, Zoom appeared. A smirk appeared on John's face, "Good evening Mr. Zoom, how are you doing this fine day? I'm glad to have you join me for this interview." This wasn't exactly what he meant when he wanted to see Zoom promptly at their designated interview time. Knowing some of the rumors about Zoom, he must have checked the office and came right here when he didn't find John there. "Doing quite well this afternoon, thanks! The weather is mild and the stress incurred from the holidays has passed - business can resume once again." He said with a smile upon his face. He fumbled a bit with his papers as he got his pen out to take notes, "So! I believe that my readers would be quite interested in knowing a bit more about Pocket Meat Incorporated. What are pocket meats? Where did this idea come from? Finally, why should we buy them?" John was hoping to get the real inside scoop on this new operation out here on the West Coast, so he waited anxiously with the tip of his pen waiting to get to work. There seemed to be a bit of hesitation for Zoom, a man who usually was quite quick with everything that he did. John leaned in a bit as he hoped to hear something interesting... "Unfortunately as I have not finalized the paperwork in regards to some of these inquiries, I am unable to answer any of these questions. I would, however, give you a heads up that there will be a Street appearance from me sometime in the near future that will address these matters." Zoom shrugged as he seemed apologetic that he could not give up anymore information. John scratched out the question with a bit of frustration that he couldn't get the early scoop, but he understood that business was business. He flipped over his paper to look at his remaining questions. "Okay, okay. I suppose I can move on to some other questions rather than pressing on with the topic of pocket meats." He cleared his throat, "The expansion of Philadelphia into Los Angeles was clearly going to be quite the undertaking for whoever got the job. How did you feel when you were asked to take on that responsibility?" Zoom seemed to perk up at the change in questioning, "To answer with any singular emotion would be unimaginably inaccurate..." He paused for a moment, "what wasn't I feeling at that moment would indeed be a much easier question to answer. Ahhh lets see... Honored, of course. There were other people who were just as, if not more qualified to take the position, and somehow the weight of the job landed on me." "Pained, to the core - the holes left in Philly after the bloodshed were felt by everyone in our line of work, even more-so for those who call Philly home. A further combination of; excited, nervous, and focused all at the same time." A smile appeared upon his face before he had a final bit to add to the answer... "It was one hell of a moment, I'll tell you that." John took out his flask to sip on some whiskey, "How have you fared so far with rebuilding Los Angeles? How have you and Nikita been working side by side and what do you hope the future holds for your city? I know that's quite a loaded bit of questions, but even just a short explanation of things would suffice the readers interest." He offered Zoom a drink, but he turned it down as John thought he might... "The rebuilding process is going fairly well, we are currently sitting around 80% full with plans in place to expand both districts in the near future." He seemed to almost disappear for a second and reappear with a drink of his own, "Of course Nikita and I have been working side by side, that is the only proper way to rebuild a city in my humble opinion. Having someone I would work well with was heavily factored into the decision of her running Pasadena - and thus far she has done an astounding job." John decided to ignore the mysterious appearance of a drink in Zoom's hand as well as the odd vibrations that occurred every so often... "Now, I've heard some rumors that you're possibly not from this time period. People have seen the demonstration of your speed on the streets and how sometimes it appears that maybe you could even 'run through time'. At least that's what some scientists have theorized. Is there any truth to this?" Maybe John couldn't resist to inquire about some of the rumors surrounding Zoom and his backstory. "That is an interesting theory. I don't believe in my tenure as a criminal that I've traveled through time - though perhaps the copious amount of drugs that seem to be in the water lately would have people believe otherwise. What the fuck is in the water over here? Anyway, the scientists will just have to keep on wondering about the time traveling aspect (or lack there-of) surrounding my persona. I can however definitively assure the masses that I am the fastest being to ever live, and that I can travel at such high speeds that I appear as a blur passing by, gone in less than a blink of the eye." Zoom seemed to possibly be forgetting about a certain red streak that could be seen running across the nation a bit quicker than him, but John would let him have his moment. It was winding down on the time he has requested from Zoom for the interview as he knew Zoom was a busy man so it was time to get on to his final question, "I asked WilliamWalker a similar question when I had an interview with him. I think it might become an 'end of interview' type question or theme for me going forward. Your right hand is known as Zaheer. Is there anything you can tell us about him and why you made the decision to give him the role as you build Los Angeles?" Zoom didn't seem to hesitate with the answering of this question with the confidence in his choice coming through... "The decision was quite simple - I was discretely holding tryouts for the position in which the participants had to race me. Zaheer blew away the other competition but wound up losing miserably to me. The talents he exhibited were top-notch...He seems to have mastered the ability to bend air, a feat I have never heard of. After hours of conversing with the old man, it felt right, and thus he got the spot. " John nodded as he jotted down the final answer to the interview.... "I have to say that although you didn't give up much about the pocket meat business, it was still a good interview Zoom. I'm sure my readers will be happy to read through when the paper comes out. Thank you for your time as I know it is precious. Hopefully I'll be able to make a trip down to Los Angeles sooner rather than later and see how things are going for myself." He stood up and shook Zoom's hand. "We'd be happy to have you Mr. Marston." With that Zoom once again disappeared in a blur of motion leaving John standing alone by his tent. "Poetry by Mafiosos"
But I dwell in privilege His friendship is a gift Poet RobertMorris
"Short Story"Running Free There was no end in sight for them as they galloped through the open plains of the mid-west. The sun had risen only a couple hours prior to their departure from the last town and they were riding hard. Nothing could be heard over the sound of hooves hitting against the earth as they pushed forward. The dust was flying high behind the group letting anyone in the area know of their presence. It wasn't ideal for them, but they had to move quick. They weren't the only ones out today riding in this direction... A town couldn't let what they had done go unpunished if they could help it. The posse had stolen a collection of jewelry from a prominent woman who had plenty of men in her employ. Those men were now in hot pursuit and they'd do whatever they could to get the jewelry back. It was the only way they were going to earn a good living and keep their jobs. "C'mon! Faster!" One of the thieves yelled, "Otherwise they'll catch us and they're won't be no mercy." One of the thieves could only think about the reason for why he chose this sort of life. The Freedom. It was as simple as that and now he felt that freedom slipping away as the noose tightened. He pressed the horse to go even faster as they continued their attempt to escape their pursuers. Gunshots could now be heard as the pursuers closed the distance on their targets... One well placed shot or one lucky shot could end a life. The men continued to push their horses to the limit and hoped for their pursuers to give up. As the shots continued to fly, one man made the fatal mistake of pulling too hard on the reigns causing his horse to turn left abruptly and take out another one of his friends. They went tumbling in a mangled heap of arms, hooves, and hair. The pursuers could be seen splitting up as a few stopped at the heap of horses and men. The silhouettes appeared to be pulling out their pistols to finish the deed... There were three thieves left and not much distance left between them and their pursuers. Again they pushed for their horses to go harder fearing the same outcome as their friends. Worry raced through their minds as they spotted a cliff ahead. This might be the chance they need in order to escape them. "Okay boys! We need to push full speed towards that cliff and then turn at the last moment. Hopefully they will either go over or it will cause them enough trouble that we can put some good distance between us!" The leader shouted. Quickly the cliff was upon them and it was time to make the turn. The first two men made the turn with some difficulty and the third unfortunately took a tumble from his horse. He awoke just moments later from his fall to see four men standing over him. 'Was this it?' 'Was his freedom over?' 'What happened to his friends?' "So was it worth it boy? She gave you plenty of work and a nice place to rest your head. Don't worry though. There won't be no suffering. She wants this all over quick." The men pulled their guns and pointed them at him. "But....I just wanted to..." Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Author JohnMarston Page 3 |

"Bloody Holidays""Santa wasn't watching..." Editors Note: This specific article was initially written quite some time ago to cover events that unfolded around the holiday's. If you wish not to read about or think about such events then best to move on past this one folks. All around the mafia underworld not a noise could be heard nor a soul be seen as the holidays were upon us. Many were ready to relax and enjoy the times ahead with friends and family. That was when violence broke out in Philadelphia as two men made their way into the city to assassinate the Godfather Chairmen known as Spaceman. This was a shot that was heard round the world and woke many into action. The bloodshed was not quick and it was not without major loss as people around the nation worked to hunt down these men. Eventually we would see others such as Godfather JackMezzo and countless other South Philly Crew Leaders fall to the guns of these men. Many emotions were being built up in those who were still left standing whether it was anger, determination, sadness, or any other combination. Eventually after plenty of time and effort, the rogue elements were finally gunned down by those that were hunting them. It was a long and emotional day for many, although it would not be the end of the bloodshed. Clearly it had become an issue of trust for the people who were still left standing when it came to the city of Detroit after a Crew Leader and one of their hands just gunned down multiple leaders. In this line of work, it becomes quite difficult and some would say impossible for anyone to trust one another after such events. If many people check the journals of their ancestors they would usually see that such events do not turn out well for somebody afterwards. A situation such as that almost always turns into who decides to strike first. Now, obviously with the need to build up cities it was no guarantee that this event would turn into more bloodshed. There is always the chance that some sort of trust can be found or repaired enough to move forward after such large losses. In this case though, the trust was lost and Philadelphia had to make some tough decisions in regards to the Motor City. Eventually it was quite clear when the bodies started to drop that most of Detroit along with Las Vegas was going to be removed. Godfather Chairmen DeeSe7en and Godfather Chairmen Flexx-Mitchell were quickly dealt with followed by many of their fellow Crew Leaders and hands. There was a strong connection between these two cities so for the attackers it made sense to remove all threats. After a few hours the city of Los Angeles would also fall as the war continued. Out of this bloodshed eventually a ceasefire would arise which would find Godfather Rampage taking over Detroit and the rest of the cities (New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and Seattle) would have to rebuild. If you want to get more information on the subject then you can always go back in the archives to see the information given out by Godfather Chairmen Jermaine_Clement (Here) and the once Godfather Chairmen KingofMeatPopsicles (Here). It was a very unfortunate set of events one after another to begin the holiday season. During this bloodshed was also the loss of beloved Dogfather Chairmen Rubix in Chicago which would be a loss felt across the nation. Eventually things would settle and the holidays would finally be enjoyed across the nation. We would eventually see expansions and auths within cities to help replace the loss of the early holidays. Although things are still being rebuild or expanding, we have finally settled back into a period of peace that will hopefully last for quite some time. The nation will need plenty of time to heal and to grow into something slightly different and new. Author JohnMarston
"Growth and Expansion""The City of Angels and The City of Sin"
The West Coast, East Coast, and Central cities had all seen great loss after the events of Christmas Eve. As with all things a cycle would continue which in this case was the cycle of death and expansion. It always falls upon those in power to rebuild what has been destroyed which in this case was mainly Los Angeles and Las Vegas. At this moment the job of rebuilding those cities has fallen upon the shoulders of a few different leaders who are now set up here on the West Coast. Zoom, Nikita, and Aimee are currently doing their best to rebuild the City of Angels and the hard work is clearly showing as they push forward. In the coming month they will also be looking to fill their new district of Hollywood which will clearly be something of interest to watch whether you are just a random mobster or this very intrigued reporter. Earlier in this article you got a bit of insight into the man named Zoom and what is happening over there in Los Angeles. Hopefully we will continue to see success out of that city as they push forward to remove the new thread in Hollywood and rebuild the city. HandsomeRob and Rafa are the people who are currently taking the reigns in the City of Sin as they try to tame that desert paradise. The gambling, women, drinking, and drugs of that city can be the end of anybody. So far those two are doing quite well as they attempt to build something great there. We know HandsomeRob at least has the looks for the job and Rafa has a stranglehold on that profitable drug trade. As with the City of Angles we are hoping to see a large success out here on the West Coast with Las Vegas. Now, it was not just the empty cities that needed to rebuild after losses from the holiday season. We would also see plenty of people setting up their own operations in Philadelphia, Seattle, New York, Chicago, and Detroit. On the East Coast we saw some changes as well with the rise of ConstanceBonacieux to Godfather Chairmen with KingofMeatPopsicles stepping down. The city of brotherly love also saw the rise of TaraByrne to Godmother of South Philly. With their ascensions and the need for growth we saw HughJorgan, Heston, JaceCorso, and LouisMezzo set up operations in the three districts of the city. New York seeing a need to fill a few holes saw the rise of JoJoStiletto, Ronin, and Zeitgeist over recent weeks. My own home city of Seattle after the loss of Leo_Maranzano needed me to take over the reigns of Ballard and I would authorize my own right hand woman to set up beneath me. Marcella has been having great success with her crew Y Sipsiwn as she continues efforts to help Seattle grow. Chicago after some losses of their own has seen Ellie take over control of the city with people like Hayley and now Scofield to help with the efforts. It was a large paw print to fill for Ellie, but that little fuzzball has clearly rolled with the punches to see Chicago continue growing. The Motor City also needed to see some growth after Rampage took over the role of Godfather Chairmen and Soseki took over command of 12th Street. The people who would step up to help out included Adelita, Lust, and Guiseppe_Ligambi from Philadelphia. Overall, the past couple of months has seen a large amount of death and with it the growth of new leaders in different cities and districts. This is how things work in our line of work and how they will always work. There will be no getting around that no matter what you do. Peace may last longer one time or another, but conflict tends to arise from somewhere. The best anyone can do is push forward and do whatever they can do to make things work. It's all up to you and who you find yourself working with to continue succeeding or end up failing. Author JohnMarston Page 5 |

"Business Advertisements"SODOM - Sodality of Dominants, Chicago. After a long hiatus, one of the oldest erotic brothels in Chicago already had its official reopening night - and now we welcome all those who wish to seek a pleasurable experience with our working girls. Whether you just want a relaxing oil massage or want to stay for the night as a client with full services, we'll be sure to cater to your needs. Please see Lulu at front desk for more details. Heaven is a place on earth with SODOM. Editors Note: I had made previous arrangements with Cassandra prior to her retirement and felt obligated to keep this in Issue two.
Pioneer Saloon - The Best Brews in a Rainy Town, Seattle. There is always the need for some good alcohol and a place to drink it. If you're looking for a place to play poker, drink some good beer or liquor, and maybe get into a bar fight then this is the place for you to visit while in the beautiful west coast city of Seattle. If you have any inquiries then you can always talk to John Marston who tends to be sitting somewhere at a table with a bottle of whiskey.
The Blushing Eagle - Combo Alcohol and Fruit Bar, Seattle. A bit of a nicer location compared to the Pioneer Saloon, although maybe the alcohol and rough housing cannot compare. If you want to go somewhere to enjoy a good drink or possibly even some nice fruit or a fruit smoothie then please stop by The Blushing Eagle. Every so often you may even spot the places Mascot or maybe a Dragon enjoying a good drink after a long day of flying. The possibilities seem endless when you take the time to really enjoy a visit to this location.
Moonlight in Pioneer - A taste of the good Nightlife, Seattle. Seattle may not be the most well known for it's night life or entertainment in the business district. BUT if that is what you're looking for then you have to stop in at Moonlight in Pioneer. It is by far the best place to go visit in the evening hours after possibly starting your day at another location (Pioneer Saloon). In all seriousness this place is quite amazing and elegant in comparison to some place in Seattle. Make the time to stop by whenever you're in the Rainy City.

Robert was on his way to the office when he picked up a copy of the "The Outlaw Gazzette". This seemed like his kind of literature. He made quick pace to his office building, greeted his secretary and took a seat. He was eager to get the news, every time. Even more so if the news were about his area of business - the mob. He quickly dug into the newspaper, delighted with what he was reading. This was acute, shrewd. A delicious insight into the underworld of the country, filled with precious information. We weren't in the wild west anymore, but this was definitely a gold mine. Robert lost track of time, lost in the pages of the newspaper. He ended up working all night to make up for lost time, but they information he gathered was definitely more valuable than his sleep schedule. |
