Algernon strides up to the gathering crowed in front of his HQ, takes out his pocket watch, checks the time, nods, and begins to speak. My Dear chaps, just so you all know, I am not setting up to go rogue, though I know some of you will consider me as such. I set up to protect my family and go after who killed my dear boss Morte. I am not here to do any damage to anyone in any way, Wot Wot. I am just trying to keep my family from being killed. Let me remind you all what happened with Cthulhu. For the time being my dear friends it would be good for you all to leave New Orleans so I can get this all sorted out. |

As far as I know, the late great Sal_Giaquinto received a hasty auth from the leaders to set up following Cthulhu's demise, and as far as I know; you've received nothing of the short. I fail to see a comparison there. |

| I'm just saying that generally, I would avoid joining this man considering one of his Capos has already been iced and the Don of Los Angeles has already noted that he's set up without auth. I'd rather be under a foreign name than dead. | |

you're* Tsk... Anywho, it seems that he is merely making a safe haven for his old members, I see nothing with that. He wants them to be with someone they know... instead of joining the neighboring families. I'm sure that they'll let him live untill WackTard is dealt with. Then I suggest these people leave. Because, Rogues (even ones with good intentions) don't last very long. |

"Doors are open, intelligent request only please." I see what you are saying Fisk, but does this look like someone who is "just trying to save his old crewmembers" to you? This looks like someone who already thinks they own their own crew. A crew which was unauthorized and is already acting like they are their own entity. |

The main issue at hand is not the intentions, but rather the results. He may have done this to house the crew that whats to stick together, however the practical results are that he is still considered rouge and his crew members are considered targets. This is not the way to make sure they survive. |

"Making sure they survive" That is a line which sticks out to me, sure, his intentions may have swayed towards building his own crew from the rubble but if he had not opened his doors to anyone, should he not be praised for some something to help them survive. As soon as Moretay died the obituaries were filling up with high ranking names, not stray gangster and thugs, but earners. It only took one man to take out Moretay, now it seems the mentality of "Grab yourself an unsponsored" has taken over What as individuals should the members of Moretays family do to survive? Throw down their family name and simply disband? Throw away something they have worked for and funded over time? Or unite where they can, and try to pick up the pieces of a fallen family? |

the survivors? What should they do? That depends, do they want to live or not? Yes, its a good idea to stick together, but alas, thats not something thats allowed in our traditions. They should find new homes and work hard to convince the bosses that one of them is worthy of keeping up the family tradition. Breaking the rules and then crying..."oh just give us a chance" or "its not fair"... Well... thats not going to keep you alive. You make the call. Would you rather be alive and housed elsewhere... or Would you rather stick together in the graveyard? |

I completely agree with Volatile. This was possibly the worst way to act accordingly. I was with the late NicholasJr, God Rest His Soul, I didn't even think about setting up to protect members. Setting up with authorization is only asking for death. What I did was come out and say I will be protecting his members, Tagged members, no CL did at the time. As other CLs have done already for the late Moretay and his Crew, you really have no point of setting up. I can understand that you want to protect your members and I respect that, but you have no reason to set up. |

| Except for the fact, that like normal, most people ignored the CL's warnings about killing the unsponsored, as you can see by looking at the obits. | |
