Dale's Burger Shop Started by: Jukera_Dale on Feb 13, '19 16:07

"How do you do it?"

"Well... I don't know really, as you know, women just can't resist my charm or good looks. It's a blessing and a curse I'll tell you that."

Snorting to herself, she didn't really believe that but it was the story that the two were going with. It was fun, they had this about them and were ready to see themselves in Detroit just relaxing, no mob business, nothing that held them back. Just good old fashioned fun, soon Cas had come back with the burger in hand and a milkshake....well...looking at Keelin, she wasn't the one to tell her about it.

"Cas, you want to tell me why you brought the milkshake with you? I mean, I appreciate the sentiment but that's just not something I'd expect you to know."

Cas now tilted her head, smirking and for once, Sal felt a tiny amount of fear but it was smothered. She had approached him as a friend, she worked in a shop, fine dining if the fries were anything to go by. With a soft look in his eyes, he leaned forward.

"You know me, it's why you brought that. So care to tell me exactly who you are?"

Cas now sat down opposite, deciding to ditch all pretence of being the bubbly brunette she was moments ago. Now before them was a woman of business, so each settled in, deciding hat the fun of the day was over.

"I've been a business partner of your family for a while, Mister Pavanno, I'd like to share a drink sometime. Perhaps at the Blackhawk, it's about time our two families came back into business together, please here's my card. Do not keep me waiting."

With that, Cas had stood from her seat in the booth, leaving both Keelin and Sal to watch after. It was Keelin that broke the silence, with Sal brooding and thinking about who exactly she was.

"Well...She's still fuckin' beautiful."

Scoffing, he looked at Keelin, her eyes never leaving the brunette and for once Sal didn't have a retort. She knew him, just from a single glance and she had played that game very well. He found himself in awe at her mere style, Dale's had grown to be a place of meeting someone you didn't know you would bump into...

Now time to munch down on this burger for fuck's sake!

"Do you know who she is Sal?"

He did not, really and that is what took him a moment. It was out of nowhere, she had changed within the snap of seconds. From giggling yet seductive mystery to a businesswoman within moments, she had training in the ways of playing the game, to get people to be putty in her hands, something about that was very...special for him, she had drawn him in and he wished to know more about her.

"Nah, that's what is intriguing, my family has worked with numerous people. Yet I don't remember so many, it's going to be interesting to see what happens."

He devoured his burger with effective ease, yet she had remained on his mind. Calm, cool, and held her high. Not many had been like that in regards to his family, they had plenty of allies who held themselves in the same position but then there was something more. Deeper, there were the enemies, the ones who considered themselves better than the Pavanno's.

Only those had since died out, people rarely knew of him and his sister, Lily was innocent and she remained a close member of the family but not what people might think. He was not afraid of her, deciding with ease that he had enough, he pushed his plate, deciding to sip on his milkshake as Keelin met his eyes.

"You have nothing to fear, we're here for you. The true Irish supporters have a few clans right here in Detroit, don't worry. We'll keep you safe and calm, by the way, you should know...your father's various business, you'll need to be seeing them, soon."

Raising his brow, he knew his father had businesses all over but they were mostly in New York. That was where he had last heard his father had remained before his death, moments where he had been kept up all night without having a single talk to them, his children.

"What's it about? I can tell you wanted to talk about something since we got here."

She could never put anything past him, without another word, she went into her words about his father and his businesses.

Report Post Tip

Detroit was a big change from New York. After spending nearly four years studying in the Big Apple, her big move to Detroit caused Sana to have some sort of culture shock. For one, she didn't have angry cab drivers' honks waking her up in the morning, the city didn't have that familiar smell of urine and alcohol, and worst of all... there was a serious lack of good bagel or one-dollar pizza places that were open late at night. However, opportunity knocked on her door when she found a calling card from someone trying to poach Taiga from Seattle and asking her to jump on over to Detroit... of course her sister probably never even considered doing that since she seemed to love her family in Ballard so much, but it was the golden ticket that Sana needed to break into her sister's world.

So yes, she was grateful that she was one step closer to finding Taiga by getting involved with the people who she last interacted with... but all of that was just background noise to Sana at the moment because all she heard was her stomach grumbling. She'd sat in her sister's tattoo parlor the whole day, trying to fix the mountain of paperwork Taiga had left in her office and trying to make sense of the clues she'd found as to where her sister could possibly be. She hadn't even realized the sun had already set before she walked into the main room of the parlor and was greeted with darkness. "Oh, damn," she cursed to herself as she turned on the lights outside, shrugged on her coat, and decided to call it a day for now.

She walked down the busy street that Sinsana was on, desperately looking for a pizza place but finding nil. Sana let out a sigh as she settled on a burger place just down the block, anything greasy would do at this point. It was no pizza... but it was still going to fill her up and that was all she needed. Not bothering to find a seat, she decided to get something to go and just eat her dinner at home so she made a beeline for the counter and leaned over it, placing her cheek on her hand as she waited for someone to take her order.

A minute or two passed and there were still no waitresses in sight, so she decided to look around, increasingly growing impatient. It was then that she spotted a brunette in a uniform walking away from one of the booths. "Finally," she muttered as she approached the woman. "Hi, can I please have a cheeseburger to go with some extra fries on the side? And uh..." Sana looked at the menu and noticed they served milkshakes, and her mind wandered back to that mysterious man she met back in Chicago... SalvatorePavanno and his stupid damn milkshake and his stupid cute smile. She wondered where he was, thinking he'd probably like this place a lot... but quickly pushed that thought away -- there was no way they were going to find each other again knowing only each other's first names and not much else. She just had to accept that it was a serendipitous one-time meeting -- if they haven't found each other by now, then they probably never would.

The sound of the waitress clearing her throat impatiently brought her back to reality and Sana finished her order. "And a milkshake, please. That'd be all." She followed the waitress to the counter and sat on one of the stools as she rang her order up.

"Armory and Booze, that's it? Thought the Irish had a lock on the matter in that matter."

Raking a hand through his hair, more fuckin' problems and he had to fucking deal with it. Not that it helped him anyway, with a shrug and a roll of his head, he found himself looking around the diner before seeing who was there. Wide-eyed, he was about to make his way over when a thick accent rang his ears.

"SAL! You did hear me right?"

"What...yeah...yeah"

Rolling her eyes, she smirked, looking over at the woman that sat at the diner's counter. She wondered what had made Sal lose all his marbles for that woman, with narrowed eyes, she watched as his entire being nearly changed, his eyes kept swaying back to her. His eyebrows furrowing, seemingly trying to figure out why she was here.

"Do you know her Sal?"

With a small smile, he nodded his head, he wasn't going to exactly to tell her that Sana was the woman he had met. Yet, seeing her here, what the heck was she even doing here of all places?

"Just forget it, we need to talk about the business at hand."

Though his eyes did look at her one last time before focusing back on Keeling, he had to wonder, did she work out here, in Detroit?

"So, what am I supposed to do with this business? It's meant to mean something to me, I'm guessing."

Snorting, she laid it all out for him, it was time to stop playing the little game with the Morellos. He had to come to see what the fuck was happening right now, New York was an entirely different place than the one he had imagined orc could even dream to see.

"Yeah and it's happening now, so, are you up for it?"

Report Post Tip

"Just gimme the call when you need me, alright? I'll be ready to fly down there, now, are you done with your food, cause I'm going to order some more. This was some good stuff..."

Snorting again, it didn't seem like Keelin bought the excuse, her eyes went back to the woman sitting at the counter. He was not doing that, it was obvious what he was going for and it didn't seem like food or like it was on the menu. Shaking her head, she decided to leave him too it, maybe he would tell her later why this one broad had shaken him up, making him lose all sense of business in one fell swoop.

"Yeah...yeah, get on with your fucking shit. It's not for a while so I know you can keep yourself occupied with whatever you got cooking up here, just keep your paws to yourself. I don't need Donnie or I to bail you out of something that you won't survive, alright?"

Without another word, it was that. The Irishwoman had left, leaving him to approach the woman if he so wished. She had watched him for another moment before he walked over, settling down at the counter, sipping on the milkshake he ordered. There was something about that woman, Keelin knew, he was more than interested. He was taken within moments of seeing her in his eyesight, she finally left him, wondering what her friend had found himself in.

Back in the diner, a sly smirk played at his lips again but it was more than friendly and the light in Sal's eyes had seemed brighter more than ever. It would have seemed like he had meant some kind of business, yet no, it was clear, one single moment with this woman had made him all the happier for something, her company above all, that is what he knew.

"So tell me, what brings the oh so intriguing Sana to Detroit of all places, I have to say...you've taken up some of my thoughts...just as you said you would...maybe you were right and so was I, right?"

There it was, like it never stopped, he had the first serve and he had waited for her response as he watched her features again. He had never realized before, yet the light of the afternoon really shone something bright on her, it gave her a different quality that tugged at him but he stopped himself. He was not going to fall further.

He sipped his milkshake, waiting, the smirk once more playing at his lips and he seemed to be enjoying it more, this little game...if that is what he could call it.

Sana felt herself freeze up for a moment. For a moment or two there, she was certain she was hallucinating because she would have recognized that voice anywhere... but surely he wasn't here of all places? Why would he be? Did he leave that much of an impression on her that he was stuck in her mind to the point of driving her to delusions? Slowly, she turned her head sideways to confirm she was truly going insane, almost sure she would find no one there... and finding those striking blue eyes smiling back at her. SalvatorePavanno.

A series of emotions ran through Sana's face in rapid succession -- she started by looking as if she'd seen a ghost, then a look of confusion, afterward unable to mask her smile about the fact that he was here, and finally settling on a look of annoyance upon hearing what he had to say. "Still an utter asshole, I see. I was hoping you were just particularly obnoxious that one night but it seems my hopes have been dashed and that it's a regular occurrence."

Another waitress left the milkshake in front of her, which she decided to drink while she was waiting instead of getting it to go. She looked at both their milkshakes and chuckled as she swiveled her body to face him. "Seems you were on my mind too, since I ordered this milkshake because I remembered how you made it look... so good..." Sana said with a devilish smile, getting right back into their back and forth of mental warfare. She wrapped her lips around the straw as if she wanted to insinuate something, never breaking eye contact with him as she took a small sip. She licked her lips slowly afterward before returning his smirk.

"Well, I should be asking you why you're in my hometown, on my street no less. Though if I were to guess, I'd say you're stalking me? Can't get enough, can you, Salvatore?" Sana said with a lilting laugh, poking fun at him... although she really did wonder how he was here of all places. Was this another serendipitous run-in or did he manage to find her like he said he would? "But to answer your question... I live and work here. I run a small tattoo shop down the street." She didn't think it was the right time to tell him what business she was really engaged in, and she wasn't lying anyway except that the tattoo shop was more of a sideline than her actual job. "And you? What brings you to Detroit, other than following me around, of course."

"Yes, I flew to Seattle from Chicago than from Seattle to Detroit all because of you, the one who got away...and I'd have to say.....you were the one...who truly captivated and I find myself falling deeply in-"

Not being able to handle it anymore he laughed, turning his head away from the way she was sipping that milkshake. He had to cover it up somehow as his cheeks flushed cherry red before calming himself, turning back to her as he saw the way she licked her lips. Rolling his neck, he shot her a small smile.

"Hmm...an asshole? Well...that's just not fair...I'm a nice guy. Well, just not to you."

His mind flashed back to how exactly nice he was...shaking his head, he was not remembering that moment. He was hoping neither did she...he guessed? He had wanted a moment, he had wished to find someone that understood him. Maybe for a sly moment, that one had been her, everything led back to her. Scoffing to himself, that seemed impossible.

"No, no, no! It was a milkshake, nothing that you're trying to imply...actually....what are you trying to imply with that milkshake there, lass?"

Throwing her a wink, he knew exactly what she was trying to imply but he had just wanted to put her on the spot. To make her sweat and see how she could bat away this, he didn't know...yet the way Sana never broke contact with him in that entire time....it had made some fire up within him.

Shaking his head, he heard that somehow he knew that maybe it could have been seen this way. Yet he still kept himself with smirking lips, a little glint in his eyes, and it seemed to be more than the usual desire he held for some woman.

"Stalking you? And I have to repeat my first statement-"

He leaned forward, gripping her hand lightly, his eyes holding false care...at least, that is what he thought for a moment before he looked deep into those eyes.

"Because of you. I had to find you, so here I am, in Detroit, after searching every city...-"

He broke off with laughter again, yet his hand never left hers. Seemingly unable too, he looked down at it for a moment before meeting her eyes. Slowly taking it back, wondering why he had not let go seconds before.

"I'm here on business, that is all and it so happens to bring me here. To Detroit, it has been so interesting...nice city."

Shrugging, he sipped his milkshake, trying not to insinuate anything San had moments before. Smirking, he had to turn away for a moment, the thoughts invading his mind were not doing him well...shaking his head again, he turned back to face her. Smirk on his lips, that gleam in his eyes that made the crystal blue eyes stand out more.

Narrowing her eyes at him, Sana crossed her arms over her chest and smirked. "You laugh and joke about being in love with me now, but when it happens -- when, not if -- let's see if you'll still find it funny. I'd love to see how you look wrapped around my little finger." She was about to goad him even more when she caught something he said in passing, something that made her pause. "Did you say you'd just come from Seattle? Now either that's proof that you're really stalking me or that the universe really wants to irk me by always making me run into you. I'd just flown in from Seattle the other night."

Irked was not the proper word for the emotion she was feeling right now though, it was more of... butterflies? Gratefulness to the universe or the Fates or whatever? Whatever the case though, Sana knew those butterflies needed to be squashed and put in a box. She didn't need the extra... entertainment right now, certainly not one that was so damn good at distracting her and pushing all her buttons.

Sana pouted exaggeratedly and brought her fingers to her cheeks as if she was wiping away tears, modulating her voice to sound like a crying child. "Boohoo, you're nice to all the other girls and not to me, I feel so sad." Scoffing at him, she then rolled her eyes and shook her head, reverting to her normal voice. "If anything, that makes me feel special. If you're nice to all of them but not to me, then maybe I make you feel something that they can never even come close to? Just a theory, I can be wrong."

She sipped on her milkshake again with wide eyes, feigning innocence. "Me? Implying something? I would never. I'd like to think I'm a pretty straightforward person. If I don't like something, I say it. If I'm happy, I express it. If I want to fuck someone, I let them know. Like I said, straightforward." She couldn't help but smirk. She thoroughly enjoyed the back and forth between the two of them, the contest to see who can make the other person blush first. Sana was determined to win today -- since she wasn't drunk off of 5 glasses of wine, the playing field was leveled... and she can see it in the subtle look that he was giving her that it was working. "Hmm, what did you think I was insinuating?"

However, she almost lost that cool composure when he took her hand, again with that gentle touch of his that made her put her defenses down, She'd stared back into his eyes with caution, knowing it was going to end with him laughing in her face but just capturing the moments before he did so because it felt so sincere. Of course, when it ended the way she'd predicted, she couldn't say she was surprised. "Yeah, yeah, laugh away. Get it all out."

His hand lingered a second too long and she raised her eyebrow, looking at him at the exact moment she looked at her with a somewhat surprised or even guilty look on his face. Again, she tried hard not to read into it as it was probably nothing to him anyway.

She crinkled her nose involuntarily at the mention of Detroit being a 'nice city'. She was yet to adjust from being a New Yorker to being a full-fledged Detroiter. "It's... alright. It was certainly better without you here." Sana said with a smirk, taking another sip of her drink. Liar -- SalvatorePavanno was probably the most interesting thing that she'd come across in this city so far.

Report Post Tip

"Me, in love with you? I'm sure I am many things with you but in love, not one of them ma'am. I was in Seattle on business, family business. So truly, I want to make sure that my family is kept high above the clouds and has nothing to worry about for a while. I've been focusing on that and I was in this city to do the same, of course, you have to show up...fate sure is cruel..."

And nice, softly his thoughts were on her again and for a moment, he was sure that she would consume him whole. The way she softly smiles, her eyes meeting his and for a moment, he was sure of it. She had understood him, she had known that this was an act and yet the young criminal heir did not believe it, he was sure....it was not true.

Yet, he was not an idiot, he saw it. His mind had played it up, the small games, the playing, the extent of what they were going to show that they always and still did care. It was something that couldn't be hidden, Sana was someone that had captured him the moment they met. She had been rude but they had spoken and that moment at the end of the night was not something he would easily forget.

"And what made you come to such a theory? It's...certainly not like that I can assure you, different, maybe. Intelligent, clearly, a high tolerance for me, maybe so. Yet those are some qualities many others have had."

A small smirk played at his lips, oh he was wrong and he knew. Moments before, he had been thinking about her, she had been on his mind for a moment and her face kept entering his mind and the feeling of her lips on his...it was almost euphoric, addicting to the point where he found himself wondering what was next for this....odd pair. He was not going to call it a relationship, it was far from that and he knew it.

"Making me feel something? Oh yes, annoyance, I can give you that and that is why I have to pay it back, double. Just to make sure you understand what I mean, San."

Catching her eyes again, he gave her a small smile. Genuine, and for a moment, his eyes did flicker down to her lips before shaking his head, truly confused as to what that was. He could not be wanting that again, it was...unlike him. Maybe he just needed to find another woman, yet the very thought of not having her was...clawing at him for something...a want, a desire, he knew not.

"Do you have to be so....blunt? Surely subtlety gets you somewhere, not just where it does you justice. I can tell you that it has never worked for me, as I said, words and charm, along with good looks are my game and they have continued to work in my favour ever since."

His voice was quiet, yet the very last words, the way her tone switched with straightforward as if implying something to him was not lost on him. Sal met her eyes again, this time, it was his lips that did curve up into a very satisfied smirk at that moment.

"Well...I'll leave it there....don't worry. Just my active mind, enjoy the shake....at least they're not ruined for me now. I can only thank fate for that."

Oh, she was good...he would not be answering that question. She knew exactly what she was doing, he was not going to be losing...at least he very much thought that but once more, his eyes started to drift, going in a certain direction and he turned his head, focusing his eyes on it as he took a sip.

"Oh I will, you are sometimes easy to fool....and wait, did you say you owned a tattoo shop? Got any interesting on you lass?"

Now his smirk was purely sinful, gone was the playful look, now it seemed purposefully he was teasing....making sure that his words took on a certain tone to drive his point home. His eyes meeting hers, swiveling in his chair to give her his full attention.

Sana couldn't help but smile at SalvatorePavanno's mention of family. She'd never been the family-oriented type as that was more of her sister's role and Sana was the household brat and rebel, but sometimes she wonders if that'll ever change one day. If she'd ever meet someone she cared for enough to drop everything and anything for other than her sister. Maybe... but not in the foreseeable future. Especially when guys around the Midwest seemed to all be drab... or a massive asshole like Salvatore.

"Need I remind you that you walked up to me? I'd been minding my own business here and in you waltz in, ruining my day. I actually think I've lost my appetite. So I don't think fate has anything to do with the fact that you wanted to talk to me... and I wonder why? Just to be annoyed? I highly doubt you'd put yourself through that unless you're finally willing to admit that you're a masochist. It's only one or the other." Sana smiled triumphantly, feeling as though she'd moved her piece into a checkmate.

"Oh, and please do shed some light on the many things that you are with me if not in love. Infatuated? Charmed by? Crazy about? I'll take it." She said in a joking tone but was secretly hoping he'd admit even just a little attraction. Surely it can't just be her that felt it... she'd been so used to men chasing her that hearing Salvatore deny her so brazenly was making her feel out of place.

"I mean, you can't deny it..." she continued from her last sentence. "You don't kiss someone that passionately all you feel about them is annoyed. Or do you? I don't know..." Ah, that kiss. She may have been a bit tipsy but it was one you didn't forget, one you replay in your head over and over again. Sana involuntarily looked at his lips and how close they were before quickly catching herself and looking around the diner, literally at anything else inside there other than him. She hoped he didn't notice. "Where's that damn burger, jeez," Sana muttered. The longer she was here, the longer he'll have to chip away at her defenses again and she'd be lying if she said he hadn't done significant damage by just sitting there alone.

Her eyes flickered back to him at the mention of subtlety. "Well, I like getting things done efficiently you see. And as for you... I do hear a lot of words coming from your mouth but the charm? Can't see it at all." She shrugged and took another sip of her drink to wash out the feeling of all the lying she'd been doing today.

"I doubt the shake would be ruined for you. If anything, I'm pretty sure it'll give you even more incentive to buy it had I been insinuating what you thought I was insinuating."

She took slight offense at the last jab. Easy to fool? She was many things but she was no fool, especially for men. She had half a mind to tell him off about it when she heard his next question. Deciding to just let it go, she took a deep breath to calm herself and answered the question by swiveling away from him and gathering her long, dark hair to one side, exposing her nape. At the top of her back was a native sigil that resembled an eagle. "It's a sigil from the native tribe in our country. It means protection, guidance, and courage... although it doesn't seem like it's doing me much protection considering you still managed to find me."

Sana turned back around and gave him a knowing smile, aware that what she was going to say next might elicit a reaction. "I've got two more, but they're on more... intimate parts of my body. So I'll just leave that to your imagination." She said with a wink, smirking as she did. "How about you, are you inked?"

Blinking slowly, Salvatore found himself at a loss for words oddly enough. Some things had come easily to him, yet all he knew was what she was saying, he could admit something of that type...in their second meeting, yet something about this place did not seem right at all. It didn't seem...like the type of place where he would wish to admit something and so he decided to slowly drift from that subject with one final...topic, it was her choice in the matter but he had hoped she would say what he wanted her to say.

"From Masochist to having some kind of....feelings for you? Well, I wouldn't admit that here of all places, I'll tell you that....maybe someplace else, intimate, just the two of us...and no, not in the way you're thinking Sana."

He meant it, this place was something and then he heard her, she had remembered that moment...well fuck. There goes the playing dumb option that had been on the table, it was ripped out from under him now. He would need to adjust, make sure that he could do something, anything just to...what was he doing?

He didn't know, staring at her for a moment, was he being oh so silly with her? She was something special, someone, special. She stood in front of him, challengingly him, making him laugh and at the moment, he could easily ask her that question which he wanted. With a small smile, he looked at her, it wasn't playful, mocking, or anything to give way to what he wished to use in a way to bait her...he meant this.

"Okay, fine. How about this, I will tell you exactly what I feel, what I want, desire, and need. I will make sure you know things about me that people wouldn't even to this day believe if you go out with me...to the Blackhawk Resturant....yes, it's a date and no, it's something to hold against you. I'm being serious."

His voice was firm, and it was almost unlike him...almost like he had finally found a part of himself that truly wanted something from this. Something more than the cheap barbs and little moments where he would cover up this connection with amusement and feigned annoyance. He wished to make sure she knew that as well as he did.

"Oh maybe you're in that way, yet we both know what you meant, darling."

It wasn't him switching up what he wished for, she knew what she had implied with that milkshake and a part of him did feel flustered but he had covered it up well but then he found himself almost hypnotized when she showed him her tattoos and he found himself smiling. She was beautiful that way, he found himself staring almost too long but he found that he almost didn't care enough to look enough.

Allowing her to see the admiration that he held in his eyes for a moment before hearing her words, he smirked, she enjoyed this game, it was clear and he would make sure to pay her back in some form.

"Oh I'm not going to imagine, I'd rather see to believe, love. And to answer your question, no I do not, do I want some? Very much so and I find myself ready to ink myself up. It'd be a process that I could bear, I can handle the pain."

He leaned forward now, looking at her lips once more before softly placing his hand on her cheek again, just like last time before and this time there it was, he was vulnerable. She could deny him if she wished, he didn't know if she would but now it was all there, on the table. He felt something, he wished to explore it.

"So, what's your answer to that date, willing to put down the words and put them to the test. Believe me, this is not a wish. You would know if it was."

With that, he found himself smirking. Meeting her gaze as he eyes flashed with care for the woman, he didn't know what he had found himself in this situation but he knew that it mattered not to him, he enjoyed it. Craved it and desired it more than anything else he had ever had in his life, maybe he had finally found someone who give him insight into who he was, as a person.

With his latest venture in the bar & music business, Ennio_Morricone tried his best to try out other restaurants on his trips across America. Detroit was no spit in the dark, being the 4th largest city at the time. Detriot was a poster child of success, turning that depression around on its face. It was the home of cars and movement... and the later, had a lot to do with dance and music.

Hi. I'd like a bacon cheese burger, with double bacon, and not too cooked, should fall over if I pick it up, Ennio began, and the waiter confidently mentally took the order.

And a Guiness, and the waiter shook his head.

Alright, Budweiser, and a good plate of French Fries; salty. As the waiter retreated to enter the order. Ennio stepped up, and walked over to the Community Bulletin Board, checking out the pages of paper. He was interested in music, what up and coming musicians were out here. Blues. Lots of Blues.. funny as the city was hopping.

Lucille Bogan, your name keeps appearing ma'am, thinking I need to have Swayze to reach out and send an invite. Ennio saw his food arriving and returned to his table, ordering another 'Bud' right away. Burger was not bad, and the bacon was perfect. French Fries could have had more salt and been more golden, but this was a good food. He looked around and noted lots of regulars, blue collar types, yes, this was a place people built a community, a culture, and kept returning. That's good business.

He asked for a piece of paper and wrote in capital letters a note to be placed on the bulletin board for others to see:

Sana held her breath for a moment as SalvatorePavanno leaned forward, once again inches away from her. She was most definitely waiting for him to crack another wisecrack joke and pull away at the last minute leaving her to let be down again... but he didn't. In fact, his eyes were full of sincerity and perhaps even a glimpse of vulnerability and fear... was he really being serious? Sana leaned in as if to inspect if he was malfunctioning or something but it seemed as though he was truly and honestly not being an asshole at the moment. She'd never thought she'd see the day. Sana was so surprised that she couldn't say anything at first, the silence stretching out so long that it was almost too painful to bear.

"Err, here's your burger and fries to go, Miss." The waitress set down a paper bag on the counter beside them, causing Sana to snap out of her daze and lean back, drawing away from him and those eyes that always seem to put her under a spell. "Um, thanks," to which the waitress promptly responded to by ignoring her and walking away. She didn't even remember if that was the same waitress she put down her order with but that was the last thing on her mind as she still had a question she needed to answer.

"Hmm, let me think..." Of course, there was no hesitation there, she was just... relishing the moment of finally getting a serious answer out of Salvatore. She had a feeling there won't be too many moments like this so she reveled in it for a bit -- make him squirm a little. "Alright. It's a date, love. I like love over darling because it reminds me of how you truly feel about me." Sana quipped, once again returning to the playful nature of their relationship, whatever it was. "I'll be sure to wear something nice, and maybe even bring the fairy dust that allows me to grant wishes. And I don't mean cocaine."

She smiled once again but brighter this time, her eyes' corners crinkling as she did. She hoped he couldn't see but she was feeling giddy inside, and those butterflies she was thinking about squashing earlier... well they might as well have turned into pterodactyls whenever he looked at her. For some reason, he always made her feel... seen. In a way that no one has before.

Hearing his comment about her tattoos, she felt another devious smirk creeping up on her lips. "Well, they really are a sight to behold... and I'm not just talking about the tattoos." Sana averted her eyes as she said this, even she thought it was a bit too much, but was there really ever such a thing as 'too much' with Salvatore? "And getting one shouldn't hurt that bad, especially when you really want it. If you want I can be there to hold your hand and buy you ice cream after..."

Drinking the last of her milkshake, she dangled her feet as she sat on the stool like a child unable to contain her excitement. She looked at him again and smiled at him sincerely, all hints of deviousness and playfulness gone. She was just letting him know that he was happy he was here, no matter how many words she said to make him believe the contrary. "So when will this date be?"

As Ennio went out the door, he noted the couple who were enjoying themselves.

Sana, reminded him of VenomousBlackBeetle. Good luck to them. SalvatorePavanno looked like he had it under control. They looked like they had something special and he smiled and walked out.

"Well...we'll see about that, won't we, love?"

He smiled, standing up as he waited walked, watching Ennio_Morricone, he knew him to be a great member of the Philly Mob. He wondered what he was doing out here of all places but then again, here he was from Chicago. It was none of his business anyway, he turned his head, going back to addressing to Sana.

"Yes, it's a date...you can keep saying it, doesn't make it any less true and you agreed!"

He flashed her a smile before his eyes went cloudy for a moment, all of a sudden, the confidence had left him for a moment. He was sure of it, he had never reached this level, fuck that, it usually just took him talking and he had a woman halfway in his lap. So why was she, of all people, different? He had no idea but he would find out.

"And don't worry, I did say I would make moments with you special...didn't I?"

Without another word, he leaned forward, before he heard her words and his eyebrows had risen. He was amused, though he wondered what she would say if she knew what type of man he was. A small chuckle escaped him, she was certainly something and that was all he could.

"Oh I'm sure you're not and I am sure they are, il mio amore. I'm just saying...I'm a different type of man..."

With that, he trailed off, meeting her eyes again as he made sure to keep that beloved contact up with Sana. He was not going to play games, what use was that anymore? He had made sure what he wanted, he was making sure that she knew it. He wanted her, not just her body but her, intelligence, snark, wit, and humour. She was someone that he could see making him better, making him more.

He already saw himself as the failed son, sometimes he felt like his sister had done better him. She had remained home, she didn't come here to find her way and he knew, sometimes she judged him. Sometimes she felt like he was going to leave, just like grandfather and their father, not to call again and be another body that she had to identify.

That was not his fate, with this woman right here with him. He could see what would happen, almost. Maybe he could grow into something here, he didn't know yet, that was the painful thing. He needed to know himself, he needed to be sure that he could do this, with her. She was not an experiment, she was a way for him to finally feel something, to be himself.

Leaning forward, brushing his lips against hers for a moment before passionately kissing her, wrapping his arms around her waist before breaking away with a sigh. A sly smirk playing at his lips, his eyes playfully telling her that he would wish for more but he waited, allowing her to know that she was more than.

"Tomorrow, is that good with you, love?"

He was happy, so much so that he could not fight off the grin on his face that had him turning away as he watched her...reaction, she was something special. She needed to be cherished, desired, kept, and protected. She was something that did not even know her value yet, nevertheless, he was going to make sure she did.

Woah, where had that come from? He would need to resort back to his comments that protected him from this type of thing but looking in her eyes again, the thoughts were washed away and all he was her. That giddy smile, the way her eyes sparkled, and then he remembered her fairy dust, he was sure that there would be much of that.

She gazed at Ennio_Morricone curiously as he smiled in their direction. SalvatorePavanno seemed to recognize him but Sana hasn't had the pleasure of meeting him just yet, but she had a feeling she was going to soon considering the line of work she'd recently gotten herself involved in. She returned his smile as he walked out and looked back at Salvatore.

"Yes, I agreed and I have no plans on going back on my word. In fact, you can even call me... excited, maybe." Sana admitted, just so she was sure he knows that despite all their humorous back-and-forths, she seriously looked forward to getting know about him -- the real him, past the smirks and the milkshakes. There was something about him that she can't quite put her finger on, a magnetism that no doubt pulled people into his world and allowed them to see it how he did. She took the paper bag off of the countertop and slid off her seat, getting ready to leave and still having that stupid smile on her face. She was honestly concerned her face was broken because she couldn't seem to stop doing so when she was with Salvatore.

Before she realized it, there he was again, leaning forward with a raised eyebrow, speaking in a low voice that simply makes Sana blush every single time. "A different kind of man, huh? We'll see about that." Sana had a habit of pre-judging people, and she wouldn't exactly call it a bad habit considering how it had saved her ass in more instances than once. It kept her safe in her little bubble... but it got lonely staying in there all alone. When she first met Salvatore, she was almost instantaneously sure that he was one of those hit-it-and-quit-it guys, the way he smiled almost ensured that he was a heartbreaker.

Yet here he was, baring all heart and soul... perhaps he'll prove Sana wrong. She really, really hoped he would. She stared into his eyes and saw only sincere, innocent admiration -- the way he looked at her made her certain he wasn't a man who would just settle for one-night-stands and empty promises. He was someone who knew what he wanted out of life and love, and once he found the things he knew he wanted to keep -- he'd go in for the kill.

And went in for the kill he did. Sana melted like putty in his hands as he brought his lips to hers, something she'd been wanting to do again ever since Chicago. She ran her fingers through his hair and pulled away breathlessly, feeling weak in the knees -- thankfully his arms were wrapped around her waist. "Y-yup. Tomorrow's.. good. Love.Sana whispered, smiling against his lips. At this point, any day would be good. She didn't care. Her brain was still on that kiss.

As much as she didn't want to, she broke away from the embrace and started walking towards the door alongside Salvatore. She may not have wanted to leave him just yet, but she still had tomorrow night to look forward to anyway. "So I guess I'll meet you there tomorrow night, 7-ish?" Sana asked as she pushed open the door, the sounds of the busy street all over the place. Still, she managed to tune it all out -- focused on one person and one person only.

He stood there, leaning against the counter and he could see the effect he had on her, it was...something to say the least. He could only wonder if she knew what effect she had on him, without another word, he walked towards her and hugged her again. Finding that he could not get enough of her, with a shake of his head, he pulled away, knowing that seemed a bit odd for him. Still, he enjoyed her before answering her question.

"7 is good, definitely. Gives me enough time to prepare, I want to make sure that you have an excellent time."

He meant that, truly. San, she was not like the other girls he had and left, she was different. For one, she had a personality, two she fought with him, challenged him and made sure that he was willing to give her everything he could offer. Not something half-assed, he would make sure he would give her more than that.

"And by the way, you look really beautiful with your hair down, thought I'd mention that Sana."

Smiling again, he deftly walked past her and found that his attention was still on her. Shrugging, he decided one last...moment could not kill them, he kissed her once more. Winking as he took in her reaction, again. He had never gotten enough of that, he didn't think he would.

"I'll see you at 7, tomorrow, love. Just keep your fire, if you hadn't noticed, I do like that."

With that, he left, knowing that she would not be off his mind till tomorrow and maybe...something could have happened, maybe something special. He didn't know yet but as he said to her in Dale's, he was willing to give it a try, he was willing to make sure she could have everything she desired and more.

So Cepheus struck out at Russo's Bar and was still on the search for Cassi who could be anywhere in the city. She wanted a drink, and he was destined to be sitting beside her with that drink but he needed to act fast. Rushing over to a random guy walking down the street he pulled them towards him and yelled into their face.

"A woman... have you seen her?"

What kind of question was this? Of course he had seen a woman, and the man was definitely too confused to fully answer him properly. Running away from the situation he made his way back to his car and walked into what looked to be a burger shop, surely this place had drinks and she could be enjoying one here.

"Cassi, are you here?"

Nothing again. Fuck. On to the next spot...
